  • 직렬로 연결 된 다층의 단위전지 집합으로 구성되는 고체 고분자 연료전지의 적층전지는 에서 발생 할 수 있는 단위전지 간 전압손실과 압력구배를 최소화하기 위해 적층전지 내의 단위전지 외에 부품 및 재료를 추가하여 전압손실과 압력구배를 줄이는 방법에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 체결압 구배를 최소화하기 위해 부드러운 층으로 이루어진 외곽부분과 딱딱한 층으로 이루어진 중심부를 가지는 필름을 전류집합체 뒤쪽에 첨가하였고, 분리판과 전류집합체 사이에서 발생 할 수 있는 전압손실을 방지하기 위해 높은 전기 전도성을 가지며, 평활도를 유지 할 수 있는 재료로 구성 된 복합층을 전류집합체와 분리판 사이에 첨가하였다. 압력구배 측정 및 다층전지 성능테스트 중 단전지간 전압손실을 측정하여 기 제작 된 첨가층들에 대한 영향의 정도를 파악하였다.

The influence of temperature gradient and rotation rate on Bi4Ge3O12 crystal growth by czochralski method (쵸크랄스키법에 의한 $Bi_4Ge_3O_{12}$ 단결정 육성에서 온도구배와 회전속도가 미치는 영향)

  • In order to grow $Bi_4Ge_3O_{12}$ crystals by the Czochralski method equipped with the auto-diameter control system, we used the resistance heater of our own design. We measure the temperature gradients under-arious thermal configurations. The relation between the critical rotation rate corresponding to the flat interface and the temperature gadient was investigated, and the importance of the axial temperature gradient was pointed out. The results from this work were compared with those obtained by other authors when RF heating was used. The optimal conditions for the crystal growth were determined as follows; under $O_2$ atmosphere with the pulling rate fixed at 2 mm/hr, rotation rate changed from 30 to 23 rpm as the crystal growth proceeded, radial and axial temperature gradients were 50 and $40^{\circ}C$/cm near melts respectively, and the composition was chemically stoichiometric.

  • To start or stop the train safely within the limited traveling distance, it is necessary to guarantee the proper traction or braking force. Presently, most trains are run by the electrical power and have adopted a combined electrical and mechanical(friction) braking system. In order to design a good traction or a brake system, it is essential for designers to predict the traction or brake performance. In this paper, the traction/coasting/braking performances analysis program has been developed and verified by comparing the simulation results with on-line test results of the Korean high speed train(HSR-350); Both results match very well. Consequently, the designers can predict the traction/coasting/braking performances of trains by using the proposed program under various operating conditions.

  • In this paper, a method which can deduce the traction farce or the braking force from the acceleration or the deceleration of the train, has been suggested. In the case of Korean high speed train (HSR-350x), the traction force and the braking forces have been obtained by using this method. It is proven that the proposed method is a very good tool in estimating the traction force or the braking force when the train starts or stops. Also, these forces on be used to calculate friction coefficients of mechanical brakes and the transmission efficiency of the traction system.

  • An experiment was performed to study solidification of binary mixture with double-diffusive convection in the liquid. A rectangular enclosure was filled with ammonium chloridewater solution. The phase change and convection process were studied through shadowgraph. Becasuse of the double-diffusive convection, the temperature field and concentration filed were stratified very rapidly. Correlation between solidified mass fraction and the dimensionless numbers was found; solidified mass concentration can be expressed as a linear function of $(Ste{\cdot}Ra^{1/4})^{2-Ste}{\cdot}Fo^{1/2}$.

Thermographic Inspection of Fatigue Crack by Using Contact Thermal Resistance (접촉 열저항 효과를 이용한 피로균열의 적외선검사)

  • Fatigue crack was detected from a temperature change around surface crack using the thermographic technique. Thermal gradient across the crack decreased very much due to thermal resistance of contact surface in the crack. Heat diffusion flow passing through the discontinuity was visualized in temperature by infrared camera to find and locate the crack. A fatigue crack specimen(SM-45C), which was prepared according to KS specification and notched in its center to initiate fatigue crack from the notch tip, was heated by halogen lamp at the end of one side to generate a heat diffusion flow in lateral direction. A abrupt jump in temperature across the fatigue crack was observed in thermographic image, by which the crack could be located and sized from temperature distribution.

  • In this paper, a simple model is presented for the gate-voltage dependence of the parasitic resistance in MOSFETs with the lightly-doped drain (LDD) structure. At the LDD region located under the gate electrode, an accumulation layer is formed due to the gate voltage. The parasitic resistance of the source side LDD in the channel is treated as a parallel combination of the resistance of the accumulation layer and that of the bulk LDD, which is approximated as a spreading resistance from the end of the channel inversion layer to the ${n^+}$/LDD junction boundary. Also the effects of doping gradients at the junction are discussed. As result of the model, the LDD resistance decreases with increasing the gate voltage at the linear regime, and increase quasi-linearly with the gate voltage at the saturation regime, considering th velocity saturation both in the channel and in the LDD region. The results are in good agreement with experimental data reported by others.

  • The control rod assemblies do freely fall into the reactor core by the gravity from the control rod drive mechanism. In order to achieve a rapid shutdown and control the reactor power, it is required to insert control rod assemblies as soon as possible. In this paper, we evaluated the drop time and flow characteristics caused around guide tube for SMART(System-integrated modular advanced reactor) control rod assembly. Numerical analyses are carried out with FLUENT program of computational fluid dynamics. This study results show that the drop time of the control rod assembly in the operating condition of SMART is more 20 percent rapidly than the drop time of the room temperature and ambient atmosphere condition.

  • 추진기관용 노즐에 사용하는 대표적인 소재로는 흑연소재와 탄소/탄소 복합재료를 들 수 있다. 흑연 소재는 열충격 저항성이 취약하여 사용 중 파손의 발생가능성이 높아 현재는 열축격 저항성이 우수한 탄소/탄소 복합재료를 주로 사용하고 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 수입에 의존하였던 Quasi-3D 구조의 니들펀치(Needle Punch) 프리폼을 국산화 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 니들펀치 프리폼의 제조 공정 및 밀도화 공정을 다루고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 고속철도 차량 즉, 경부고속철도를 운행하는 KTX, KTX산천 그리고 현재 개발중인 HEMU400x을 대상으로 운행속도 및 운행패턴에 따른 열차 소비전력을 분석하였다. 이를 위해, 선로조건을 고려한 차량의 운전속도 조건과 운행시간,소비전력 등을 예측하기 위한 TPS(Train Performance Simulation)프로그램을 이용하였다. 열차운행 시뮬레이션을 수행하기 위해선 차량, 선로, 속도의 기본 데이터를 필요로 한다. 차량에 대한 데이터는 차량의 최고속도, 제동성능, 견인력 등의 기본 성능과 열차편성에 따른 중량, 길이, 동력차량형식, 열차주행저항등에 대한 제원을 요한다. 선로데이터는 운행시간 예측을 대상으로 하는 선로에 대한 거리별 구배 및 선형, 정거장 위치 및 정차시간에 대한 데이터이다. 속도조건은 구배 및 곡선에 대한 선로제한속도로, 선로데이터와 연계하여 각 선로위치별 차량의 제한속도로 이용된다. 본 논문에서는 경부고속철도 구간에서 운행하는 고속차량 3가지를 대상으로 증속에 따른 전력소모량을 비교하였다.
