Testing on the Existence of Interaction Effects in $3^t$ Resolution IV Factorial Experiments (Resolution IV $3^t$요인실험법에서 교호작용 효과의 존재에 대한 검정 방법 연구)

  • In analysis of resolution IV fractional factorial experiments, the main effects only are analyzed, even though we can get some useful information on the confounded 2-factor interactions. In this paper, we introduce an exploiting method of the confounded structure of interactions, especially for the near minimal resolution IV 3$^{t}$ fractional factorial designs developed by Anderson and Thomas (1979). Moreover, in this paper the application way of the proposed method is also discussed by analyzing some simulated data.

  • In this paper, an effective method for identifying influential main effects and interactions in the 2-level factorial designs is suggested by exploiting the resolution V designs developed by Kim(1992). For analysis of such designs, we employ the Bayesian approach for easy and clear identification of influential effects in the half normal probability plot.

  • 2수준계 요인실험법에서 Kim(1992) 에 의해 균형배열을 이용하여 설계된 resolution V 포화균형부분실시법에서 추정량들의 공분산행렬을 계산하여 통계적 특성을 연구하였다. 이러한 부분실시법은 최소의 처리조합수를 가지고 주효과와 2인자 교호작용까지 분석할 수 있는 특징이 있다. 특히 본 논문에서는 인자의 수에 따라 설계가능한 8개의 부분실시법들간의 유사성과 통계적 효율성, 그리고 index number들의 변화에 따른 공분산행렬의 특성을 살펴보았다.

  • 본 연구의 대상인 자체발광 유리관은 밀봉된 유리관 내의 삼중수소에서 방출되는 베타입자와 유리관 내벽의 형광체와의 발광반응 메카니즘을 이용한 것이다. 자발광체는 삼중수소의 자연 붕괴와 형광체의 열화에 의해서 형광 효율이 감소되어 자발광체를 제조한 날로부터 지속적으로 휘도가 줄어들게 된다. 본 연구에서는 자발광체 제조 시 형광체의 열화를 최소화하기 위하여 형광체 열화에 영향을 미치는 요소인 온도, 온도 유지 시간, 공정 시 필요한 분위기를 다꾸지 방법에 의한 실험계획법으로 3인자 3수준의 교호작용을 고려하여 형광체의 음극선 발광 특성을 검토하였다.

Effect of Feeding Aflatoxin and Vitamin $D_3$ on Body Weight Gain, Nutrient Utilization, Tibia Mineral and Serum Characteristics of Broiler Chicks (Aflatoxin과 비타민$D_3$ 급여(給與)가 브로일러 병아리의 증체(增体), 영양소이용율(營養素利用率), 경골무기물(脛骨無機物) 및 혈청성상(血淸性状)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • A $2{\times}4$ factorial study was carried out to investigate the interaction of aflatoxin and vitamin $D_3$ in broiler chicks. The day-old 336 chicks were allocated to triplicate 8 treatments. The 0 or 0.5 ppm of aflatoxin $B_1$ (AFB) and 0, 500, 1,000 or 1,500 IU/Kg of vitamin $D_3$ (VD) were supplemented to the basal diet. There were no significant differences among treatments in respect to the body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, shank color, mortality and incidence of weak legs. The utilization efficiencies of dry matter, crude protein, ether extract, N-free extract and crude ash showed also no significant differences among treatments, respectively. The mean utilization efficiency of crude fiber in AFB group was lower than that in normal groups (P<.01). However, no significant difference was found among groups fed different levels of VD, and no interaction between AFB and VD was found. The utilization efficiency of Ca in AFB group was somewhat higher than that in normal group without statistical significance, and the similar values were found among groups fed different VD. The utilization efficiencies of P and Na were not significantly different among treatments, respectively. The tibia ash appeared to be similar among treatments fed different levels of AFB and VD. However, the Ca content in tibia of birds fed 0.5 ppm of AFB was higher than that of normal chicks (P<.05). The slightly increasing trend was shown in Ca contents when fed increasing revel of VD, and the interaction between AFB and VD was recognized(P<.01). The P content of tibia was increased by feeding AFB(P<.05). However, there was no significant difference among groups fed different level of VD and no interaction between AFB and VD in respect to the P content of tibia. Feeding AFB did not affect the Na content in tibia. However, there was a highly significant difference among groups fed different levels of VD(P<.01), the highest values were at 1,000 IU/Kg group, and the interaction between AFB and VD was not significant. The Ca content in serum of birds fed AFB was higher than in control group (P<.01). The Ca of serum increased when fed more VD, although no significance was found among groups, and there was an interaction between AFB and VD(P<.05). The P content of serum showed no significant difference among treatments. The alkaline phosphatase activity in serum of chicks fed AFB was higher than that of control group (P<.01). The enzyme activity increased slightly with increasing level of VD, however, there was no interaction between AFB and VD.

Analysis of Stress level of Korean Household Members due to Household Debt (한국국민의 가계 금융부채에 대한 체감도 분석)

  • Korean household debt is one of the main sources of the current financial crisis. This paper studies the impact of household members' attributes such as a type of housing(self-own or rent), education, age, average monthly income of the head of household, and the area of residence, on the stress level of the household members due to household debt. We analyze a real data set collected by KB Kookmin Bank in 2004. We consider low and high stress level as a binary response variable and use a logistic regression model with the attributes of household members as explanatory variables. A simple but well-fitting model is selected by backward elimination method based on the likelihood statistic for goodness-of-fit test, and the impact of the attributes on the stress level is studied from parameter estimates of the selected model. We also perform the similar analysis on a binary response variable which distinguishes households with no debt from the rest. From the analysis, the stress level tends to be low for households with self-own houses, high average monthly income, low education level, and young members.

  • In order to set up the design of micro optical bench, optical coupling efficiencies of two sets of test benches are calculated. Simple linear connections of incoming and outgoing optical fibers with and without ball lenses are designed. Positional errors that are possible in actual fabrication processes we considered in the calculations and their tolerances are determined from -3 ㏈ conditions. For a simple fiber-to-fiber connection, the lateral misalignment should be limited to 2.7 um and tilt error 5.8o. In case of the fiber-to-fiber with ball lens, the working distance between fibers can be extended over 60 um. The optical coupling efficiency depends strongly on the positional errors of ball lenses along the optical axis, and it is also found that the lateral and vertical positional errors should be considered simultaneously in order to keep the high coupling efficiency.

A Study on the Production Medium of Lactic Acid Bacterial Cells by Using Corn Steep Liquor (Corm Steep Liquor를 이용한 젖산균이 생산배지에 관한 연구)

  • 젖산균의 생장을 위한 질소, 탄소 공급원으로서 corn steep liquor의 이용 가능성을 시험하고 반응 표면 분석(Response surface metho-dology)을 이용하여 젖산균의 최적 생상 배지 조성을 연구하였다. 반응 표면 분석에서 L.fermentum의 생장배지에 첨가되 corn steep liquor와 yeast extract의 농도(p<0.01) 그리고 corn steep liquor와 yeast extract의 교호작용(P<0.05)이 L.ferm-entum의 생장에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이때 생균수가 최대인 corn steep liquor의 함량은 10.77%, yeast extract는 3.39%.Tween 80은 1.69%으로 예측되었다. 한편, Lc, lactis ssp. lactis 의 생장배지는 corn steep liquor 의 농도(P<0.01) 그리고 corn steep li-quor와 $\beta$-glycerophosphate disodium salt의 교호작용(P<0.05)인 Lc. lactis ssp. lactis의 생장에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 이때 생균수가 최대인 corn steep liquor의 함량은 3.5%, $\beta$-glycerophosphate disodium salt는 4.38%로 예측되었다. MRS broth와 예측된 최적 배지에서 L.fermentum의 젖산과 초산의 생성량은 각각 0.166, 0.114과 0.273, 0.081 M이고 M 17glc broth와 최적배지에서 Lc. lacti ssp. lactis의 젖산과 초산의 생성량은 각각 0.089, 0.003과 0.189, 0.003M이었다. 따라서 corn steep liquor는 L. fermentum와 Lc. lactis ssp, lactis 의 생장을 위해 질소 또는 탄소 공급원으로서 배지에 첨가 될 수 있는 우수한 농업 부산물로 판단되었다.
