A Study on the Analysis of Driver Behavior in Traffic Accidents using Driving Video Recorder (차량용 영상기록장치를 통한 운전자 행태에 따른 교통사고분석에 관한 연구)

  • 우리나라의 자동차 역사는 주요 선진국에 비해 60년 정도 짧지만 자동차와 일어나는 교통사고의 발생률이나 심각도를 고려한다면 교통사고를 줄이기 위한 여러 가지 원인을 분석해 보는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 방송프로그램에 방송한 차량용 영상기록장치(VDR) 제보영상을 통해 다양한 교통사고의 원인을 수집하여 운전자의 행태를 분석하여 교통사고를 발생을 감소 시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 연구목적이다. 방송된 차량용 영상 전체 1,262건에 대해 운전자 행태 분석을 실시하여 DB를 구축하고 이를 교통사고 분석 시스템 TAAS 통계를 비교 분석 결과 전체 1,262건 중 노면상태가 건조 할 때가 1,153건, 기상상태가 맑을 때 1,176건, 주야별 운전시 주간이 1,0,13건으로 높게 분석되었다. 또한 사고유형으로는 차대차 860건이 68.1%로 높게 분석 되었다. 따라서 운전에 장애가 되는 요소가 없는 경우 운전자 개인이 과속과 전방주시 태만이 발생할 가능성이 높으므로 운전자들에 대한 교육을 통해 의식개혁이 필요하다.

Analysis of the Current Status and Correlation of Traffic Demand according to the COVID-19 Indicator (코로나 19 지표에 따른 교통수요 현황 및 상관관계 분석)

  • In January 2020, the first COVID-19 confirmed patient occurred in Korea, and the pandemic continues to this day. In unprecedented situations, COVID-19 also affected the transportation sector, and there were no appropriate measures against changes in traffic volume and use of public transportation due to changes in citizens' lifestyles. Currently, each local government has not established separate measures for pandemic disease measures. In order to establish future disease countermeasures in the transportation sector, a predictive model was developed by analyzing the traffic volume and the number of public transportation uses, and conducting correlation analysis with the current status of COVID-19. As a result of the analysis, the traffic volume decreased, but the traffic volume decreased due to the increase in personal transportation, but it did not reach the number of public transportation uses. In addition, it was analyzed that the use of public transportation was initially affected by the number of confirmed cases, but over time, it was more sensitive to death and mortality than to the number of confirmed cases.

A Study on Describing Uninterrupted Traffic Flows using Macroscopic Models (연속교통류 재현을 위한 거시적 모형의 비교 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of macroscopic traffic flow models with the analytical and field data. Five candidate models were selected as follows ; Lax Method Model, Upwind Scheme Model, Hilliges'Model, Papageorgiou's Model, and Cell-Transmission Model. In the analytical test scenario, the traffic condition was assumed that could cause the building and dissipation of queue, and each model was compared with analytical solutions and the numerical results. An analytical test indicated that both simple continuum and high order continuum models are able to reproduce queue building and dissipating behavior in a reasonable way A field test has shown that Upwind and Papageorgiou's model show similar performances. Considering the simplicity in model formulation and numerical computation, we firstly recommend Upwind scheme model , and secondly Papageorgiou's model that performed will to represent traffic flow in tests as candidate models for further development of simulation model for Naebu expressway in Seoul.

Analysis of the Mechanism of Automated Speed Enforcement Systems on Traffic Safety (자동과속단속시스템의 교통안전개선 메커니즘 분석)

  • The increasing interest in the use of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) systems in Korea enables to enforce speed violation by National Police Agency. We have analyzed the mechanism of ASE systems on traffic safety throughout Korea. 1 The data collected on a 2km road-section of each 32 ASE stations during one rear period indicate significant safety improvement. The results were (a) a decrease in the total number of accidents of 28%, (b) a decrease in the number of fatalities of 60%. 2. The study also that ASE systems are effective to reduce average speed, speed variance, and short headway. 3. Based on the operational data collected at 15 locations, an aggregate safety prediction model is proposed as a multiple regressions form. The primary operational variables that appear to affect the frequencies of accident are : average speed, speed variance, and the number of vehicles exceeding 30km/h of posted speed limit.

Effectiveness of en-route traffic information service for various network structure and congestion level (가로망구조 및 통행수요 변화에 따른 통행중 교통정보제공 효과분석)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 가로망의 구조 및 통행수요의 변화에 따라 통행 중 교통정보제공의 효과가 어떻게 달라지는가를 모의실험을 통하여 분석하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 실제의 대규모 가로망에 대하여 적용할 수 있는 통행배정기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 모형은 시간의 흐름에 따른 가로망의 상태를 고려하여 통행을 배정하는 방법으로 $\ulcorner$시간종속적 통행배정$\lrcorner$이라 명하였다. 본 연구에서는 가로망 형태(격자형 및 방사환상형), 가로망 크기, 통행수요의 지역별 분포, 그리고 교통혼잡정도에 따라 각각 시나리오를 작성하고, 각 시나리오에 대하여 모의실험 및 사례연구(노드 348개, 링크 1179개)를 통해 정보를 받는 차량의 비율에 따른, 그리고 정보를 제공하는 빈도에 따른 통행중 교통정보제공에 대한 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 모의실험에서는 정보를 받는 차량의 비율이 30%~70% 구간에서 14%까지의 총체계비용의 감소효과가 나타났으며, 가로망의 규모가 클수록, 혼잡이 심할수록, 그리고 대안도로가 많을수록 교통정보제공의 효과는 커지는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 해상교통 환경은 항해사, 관제사, 자선, 타선 등의 복합적 상호작용과 관계에 의해서 형성되지만 그동안의 해상교통 분석은 과거 항적 데이터의 통계분석이나 선박운항 시뮬레이터를 이용한 자선의 운항특성을 분석하는 것에 국한되어 왔다. 복잡함 속에서도 교통흐름과 특성을 나타내는 교통 환경을 사실적으로 모사하기 위해서는 교통 환경을 구성하는 각 요소에 대한 모델링 및 시뮬레이션이 사실적으로 이루어지고 요소간의 상호작용이 재현될 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해서 본 논문에서는 에이전트 기반의 시뮬레이션 기술을 분석하고 적용 방안을 연구하였다.

  • 시뮬레이션 기반의 해상교통 분석 방법은 대상 항만의 항적 데이터를 이용하여 교통 특성 모델을 구축하고, 이를 통해 해상교통 현상을 재현함으로써 분석을 수행하는 방법이다. 교통 특성 모델은 교통 현상을 수치적으로 표현한 일반화 된 모형을 말하며, 모델링 작업에 많은 시간과 노력이 소요된다. 본 논문에서는 해상 교통 특성을 생성하기 위한 자동화 된 프로세스를 제안하며, 실제 목포항의 항적 데이터에 적용하여 교통특성 정보 생성 방법으로서의 활용 가능성을 검토하였다.

Empirical Study on Public Transportation Demand Change by Providing Metro-rail Service (광역철도 개통에 따른 대중교통 수요변화의 실증적 연구)

  • The ridership and transit systems are influenced by the expansion of metro-rail in Seoul metropolitan area. However, it has been difficult to measure its precise quantitative influences. Also effective policy implementations have been limited due to the lack of practical evidences. Thus an empirical analysis for an operating metro-rail is essentially required. In this regard, this study examines the impact of the Jungang line on transportation system, whose metro-rail block has been recently started new service. The main interest of this study is to find out the changes of ridership and to forecast the ridership changes by the metro-rail service. The results indicate that the effect on auto users is less than that of bus users. The auto demand is decreased by 33.3% and the bus demand by 66.6%. Additionally, its influence on Gyeonggi-do bus was greater compared with that on the Seoul bus. From questionnaire survey, this results could be confirmed. To sum up, the metro-rail gives less influences on auto users, while it gives greater influences on bus users.

Analysis and Prediction of Bicycle Traffic Accidents in Korea (자전거 교통 사고 현황 및 예측 분석)

  • According to the promoting policy for bicycle riding, the bicycle road infrastructure in Korea has been widely established. As the number of bicycle rider increases, bicycle traffic accidents also increase year after year. In this paper, we analyze bicycle traffic accident data from 2007 to 2014 which is provided by Road Traffic Authority and present statistical results of bicycle traffic accidents. And also regression analysis is applied to predict the number of daily traffic accidents in Seoul using ASOS(Automated Synoptic Observing System) climate data observed in the Seoul sector which are provided by Korea Meteorological Administration. In addition, decision tree analysis techniques are used to forecast the level of traffic accidents severity. In the analytic results of this research, we expect that it will be helpful to establish the collective policy of bicycle accident data and protective strategy in order to reduce the number of bicycle accidents.

Development of Incident Detection Method for Interrupted Traffic Flow by Using Latin Square Analysis (라틴방격분석법을 이용한 단속류도로에서의 유고감지기법 개발)

  • In this study, a new method which can detect incidents in interrupted traffic flow was suggested. The applied method of detecting the incident is the Latin Square Analysis Method by using traffic traits. In the Latin Square Analysis, unlike other previously tried methods, the traffic situation was analyzed, this time considering the changes in traffic traits for each lane and for each time period. The data used in this study were the data observed in the actual field with fine weather. The traffic volumes, the vehicle speed and the occupancy rate were collected on the interrupted flow road. The data were collected in normal and incident situations. The incidents occurred on the second lane, the time of persistent incidents was set to 10 minutes. The Latin Square Analyses were performed using the collected data with the traffic volume, with the vehicle speed or with the occupancy rate. As a result in this study, in case of detecting the traffic situations with Latin Square Analysis, it will be more successful to apply traffic volume to detect the traffic situations than to apply other factors.
