경로기반 배정모형에서는 GP(Gradient Projection) 알고리즘을 이용하였고, 계산상의 효율성 제고를 위해 K-최단경로 알고리즘 중 MPS(Minimal Path Search) 알고리즘을 이용하였다.
It can prevent traffic accidents in a way as taking precautionary measures for road safety at signalized intersection in advance. Particularly, traffic accidents can be reduced at relatively low cost without redesigning alignments. That is 'Positive Guidance method' which can help prevent traffic accidents through improvement of road facilities at signalized intersection. In this study, potentially higher hazardous signalized intersection due to speeding was selected through site investigation. Field analysis at designated section was conducted and devised a plan for improvements of road facilities. Subjects drove in driving simulator in 3-D virtual reality of designated intersection. Based on data from simulator, statistical analysis(t-verification) was conducted for 'Before and After effectiveness' of speed reduction. As a result, it indicates that speed reduction was effective after improvements at each spot in driving simulator. In the future, hazardous signalized intersections which can be applied for PG method will be effective for road safety based on this research.
A lane departure warning system (LDWS) is an effective technology-based countermeasure for preventing traffic crashes as it provides warning information to drivers. Understanding the characteristics of perception and satisfaction levels on LDWS is fundamental for deriving better performance and functionality enhancements of the system. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the user satisfaction of LDWS. A survey to collect user perception and user preference data was conducted. Both cross-tabulation analysis and binary logistic regression technique were adopted to identify the factors affecting user satisfaction for LDWS. The results revealed that the accuracy and timeliness of warning information was significant for evaluating the effectiveness of LDWS. In particular, the warning accuracy at a curve segment on the road was the most dominant factor affecting user satisfaction. The outcome of this study would be valuable in evaluating and designing LDWS functionalities.
It is very important to build a safe walking environment for children because children are more likely to be exposed to traffic accidents than adults due to their behavioral and physical characteristics. Therefore, this study analyzed the characteristics of road and transportation safety facilities that affect pedestrian traffic accidents around school zones using spatial poisson regression. The pedestrian-vehicle crash data in Seoul 2016-2018 was provided by the Traffic Accident Analysis System(TAAS). The main analysis results are as follow; First, the more intersections and the higher percentage of neighborhood roads in the school zone, the higher the risk of pedestrian traffic accidents. Second, the pedestrian push button was found to reduce the occurrence of pedestrian traffic accidents. Third, except for the pedestrian push button, none of the transportation safety facilities considered in this study were effective in reducing the risk of pedestrian traffic accidents. On the other hand, if not only the improvement of physical facilities but also non-physical factors such traffic safety education are supported, the effect for reducing traffic pedestrian traffic accidents in the school zone is expected to be further maximized.

Transfer impedance is one of the most critical factors decreasing the competitive power of public transportation. Therefore, it is necessary to improve transfer impedance of KTX and rail station users in order to increase the usage of public transportation. Important factors influencing transfer decisions include exterior walking distance, interior walking distance, steps, and escalators. However, their comparative impedances are different. This study constructed a model for calculating transfer impedance based on bodily sensational transfer time in KTX and rail stations and calculated transfer impedance on major KTX and rail stations in Korea. The study results show that the addition of one escalator decreases travel time by one to three minutes. The calculated transfer impedance based on bodily sensational transfer time in this study can be utilized as objective criteria to compare transfer conditions of different KTX and rail stations and to prioritize them for facility improvement. The calculated transfer impedance also can be used as facility guidelines for designing a new transit center.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to quantitatively identify the environmental contribution generated by urban rail users in the metropolitan area. Method: As for the analysis method, the mode choice and assignment of the traffic demand analysis were repeatedly performed on the assumption that each line was not opened for the metropolitan urban railway lines 1 to 9. After that, the environmental contribution according to changes in demand for the road was analyzed. Result: The total amount of carbon dioxide emissions and benefits were found to be the largest for subway line 1. However, when considering the number of stations and length, it was analyzed that the environmental contribution was the greatest in Metro Line 4. Conclusion: Measures to promote the use of public transportation are representative of environmental improvement policies, but there is a limit in that it is difficult for actual users/non-users to feel it. Therefore, it is judged that it is necessary to quantitatively present the effect in order to improve and spread awareness of the environment.
This study was performed to investigate the currents status of the sexual assaults on women public transportation users and to provide solutions in order to provide safe transportation services to women. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with career women in Gyeonggi-do. The main purpose of the interview was to understand their experiences about sexual assaults while using public transport and to investigate the extent to which their experiences affected their transportation-related behaviors. The effects of various related transport policies on women behaviors were also analyzed by estimating structural equation models. The results showed that among them, CCTV, accessible warning bells, and more police presence seemed to be more effective, but that woman-only sections were not as effective as others in reducing the number of crimes. The results implied that individual subjective norms and their perceived behavioral control, behavior intention were important factors. Based on these results, we recommended additional policies more effective in sexual crime reduction.
The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of the parking information on the waiting time using the simulation method. Stated Preference survey has been implemented to construct the parking lot choice model. A queue simulation is carried out to investigate the effect of various parking information on the waiting time. The results show that providing parking information is likely to increase the utilization of parking place and to decease the waiting time of individual vehicle. Furthermore, as the parking demand increases, the detailed and quantitative parking information such as "5 minutes delay" is more effective than qualitative parking information such as "available".
Various urban transport policies have an effect on urban transit riderships and accessibility. This study reports variations of metropolitan subway travel patterns affected by an enormous change in bus routes and transfer discount fare policy between subway and bus mode conducted by Seoul city in July 1st of 2004. In an effort to see the difference between the before and the after policies, two data sets are prepared. Firstly, on a daily bassis. an origin-destination trip table of May of 2004 is used. Secondly, on a daily bassis, an origin-destination trip table of August-September of 2004 is used as a counter measure. Even if seasonal variation was not considered, Seoul metropolitan area have experienced increasing riderships and accessibility. Finally, the effects of accessibility in spatial interaction model by rall service changes such as random shocks were scrutinized and interpreted in detail.

As traffic volume increases and road networks become more complicated, identifying for accurate traffic flow and driving smooth traffic flow are a concern of many countries. There are various analytical techniques and studies which desire to study about effective traffic flow. However, the necessary activity is finding the traffic flow pattern through data visualization including location information. In this paper aim to study a real-world urban traffic trajectory and visualize a pattern of traffic flow with a simulation tool. Our experiment is installing the sensor module in 40 taxis and our dataset is generated along 24 hours and unscheduled routes. After pre-processing data, we improved an open source traffic visualize tools to suitable for our experiment. Then we simulate our vehicle trajectory data with a dots animation over a period of time, which allows clearly view a traffic flow simulation and a understand the direction of movement of the vehicle or route pattern. In addition we further propose some novel timelines to show spatial-temporal features to improve an urban environment due to the traffic flow.
