The effects of the writing instruction using animations (애니메이션을 활용한 초등 영어 쓰기 지도 효과 연구)

  • The purpose of the present study is to examine the degree to which the writing instruction using animations has effects on the writing performance of $4^{th}$ year elementary school students. This study also examined the effects of the animation-based writing instruction on the interest and confidence of those students. To this aim, the present study utilized a set of writing tests and questionnaires before and after the instruction. The data were collected from 63 elementary school students. The data were then analyzed using a series of statistical analyses. The results suggested that the students who received the writing instruction using animations performed significantly better on the writing test than those who received the textbook-based instruction. The results also suggested that those who received the animation-based instruction showed more positive interest and confidence on English and English learning. Finally, limitations of the present study and suggestions for further studies are discussed at the end of the paper.

  • 국내 전력소비량은 1961년 전원 개발을 본격적으로 추진한 이래 세계12위 규모로 성장하였다. 그러나 전력사용 증가에 따른 전기화재, 감전 및 설비사고 등 전기재해 역시 계속 증가하여 전체 화재 사고 중 전기로 인한 화재비율이 선진국과 비교하여 크게 높은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 전기안전에 관한 국민의식 제고를 목표로 전기안전 교육을 위한 3D애니메이션프로그램을 제작하여 전기 안전문화를 조성하는 홍보매체로 활용할 수 있도록 연구를 수행하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Unity 3D 엔진을 심층 분석하여 게임개발 교육현장에서의 유용성을 검토하였다. Unity 엔진을 이용하면 필드의 제작, 캐릭터 애니메이션 세팅, 스크립트 작성, Asset 관리, 레벨 디자인 등 많은 작업을 하나의 통합 환경에서 수행할 수 있다. 또한 컴파일 과정을 거치지 않아도 게임을 제작하는 도중 언제라도 실행해 볼 수 있기 때문에 개발에 걸리는 시간을 단축 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 초점은 게임 앱 설계 관련 프로젝트의 수행이나 교육용 게임 개발의 학습 모형을 제시하기 위한 과정이다.

  • 정보화 시대를 살아가는 구성원중 하나인 청각 및 언어 장애인들의 경우, 정보 전달 및 소통이 필요한 일상 생활은 물론, 교육 현장에서도 어려움을 겪고 있는 것이 현실이다. 따라서 이러한 어려움을 극복하기 위해 장애인 보조 시스템의 개발이 진행되고 있으나 그 결과는 아직 미미하다. 본 논문은 청각 및 언어 장애인들에게 컴퓨터와의 상호 작용을 통해 정보 전달을 지원할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하여 더 나은 교육 환경을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 즉, 사이버 공간에서 수화하는 아바타를 통해 정보를 전달하는 시스템을 설계하고 구축한다. 그 첫 번째 단계로써 입력 장치를 통해 받아들인 단어를 자소별로 변환한 뒤, 3D 지화 애니메이션으로 표현하였으며, 이 연구 결과는 수화 아바타 시스템의 기반이 될 것이다.

  • 통계학의 개념들을 직관적으로 이해시키기 위해 기존의 교재중심 강의교육에서 탈피하여 실제적인 실험을 중시하고 컴퓨터를 교육에 활용하는 방안에 국내외적으로 많은 관심이 쏠리고 있다. 본 연구에서는 통계학의 기초개념들을 쉽게 배울 수 있는 통계교육용 멀티미디어 프로그램개발의 한 단계로서 유의성검증시 필요한 p-값(유의확률)의 의미를 정확히 이해하고 적용할 수 있도록 하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 다양한 상황을 소리, 컴퓨터그래픽, 애니메이션, 텍스트와 동영상을 통합한 멀티미디어 환경하에서 구현하여 피교육자가 흥미를 가지고 학습함으로써 단순한 계산결과가 아니라 원리와 과정을 알 수 있도록 구성하였다. 이 프로그램은 한글 windows 95가 설치된 개인용컴퓨터에서 사용할 수 있으며 internet을 통하여 web browser에서 직접 실행할 수 있다.

  • This paper analyzes patterns of various characters in an animation story. Animation characters are the important element in a story. They reflect social facts and work an element showing internal aspects of human-beings. At first we need enough scientific basis to understand the development of these characters. Therefore, this paper analyzes the characters of 19 Disney animation on the basis of character disorder in abnormal psychoanalysis and establishes database of animation characters. This database can be a help to the develoment of new characters. Also, I think that characters inclination can be applied to fostering Emotion and education of animation audiences.

  • The potential competency from the animation industry, as known as a foundation which spawned a variety contents from the piece of work, has a high importance in the content development field. The pivotal role of the domestic animation industry has produced the term of convergence content which composed by both educational elements and entertainment features especially from the domestic kids TV animation industry. This study analysis the ideal indicator of the preferred characteristic design being broadcasted on EBS, not only presenting the status of the character proportion rates but also proposing the creative aesthetic indication where the substantial leverage would be available as the purpose of this research.

  • Domestic kids TV animation industry is settled well in domestic animation industry by adding both entertainment value and educational value. Specially, the character that represents various rolls in the kids TV animation is the core visual element. This study is the analysis for character's subject matter of expression. For this, I established the tool which could classify character's subject matter of expression, and apply the tool to the character which were selected in broadcasting kids TV animations on EBS. Through this procedure, I analyzed character's subject matter of expression with the distribution chart as the final step. In addition, I hope the result of this study could intend to provide the index of the character creation in the kids TV animation and also informed the current situation about the character's subject matter of expression in the kids TV animation.

  • In recent, the blood type waken the reader's interest in the field of movie, music, and education. Now, the blood type is far better than was anticipated in every aspects of life than a personal taste and appear as a familiar topic of story telling in modem life-style. Long time ago in Japan, the blood type was used to a casting of character and a consistent personality. In this study, the types of personality is combined with a blood type and devided with a frame of types. Also, personalities of character are observed and compared in a general animation which not applied a blood type. In particular, a personalities of family in animation are analized through a blood type and applied by character. Also, the blood types based on character of families get an appeal of audience. From now on, it will expect a variable analysis of animation, and needs for a continuous study not only blood type between families but relationship between blood types.

Development of Animation Materials for a Unit related to (중학교 화학전지에 관련된 동영상교수 자료의 개발 및 교육적 효과에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational effects of an animation materials developed with the macroscopic particle moving sight. The 11 animations developed by the researchers showed the movements of molecules, ions, and electrons. The materials were developed for teachers to use when they taught "electrochemical cell' unit. The subjects were 151 students of 9th grade who were divided into the experimental and control group and were taught during 16 hours. In order to figure out the characteristics of each student before the instructions, a short-version GALT(Group Assessment of Logical Thinking) and the pretest of conceptions were carried out. After the instructions, students tested 3 types of exam; the posttest of conceptions, attitude test connected with science, cognition test. After 4 months later, students tested the posttest of conceptions agin for long-term memory effect. It was found that the exper-imental group using the developed animation materials had significantly higher scores of conceptual understanding than control group. The experimental group had also significantly higher scores of the long-term memory test and attitude test than control group. The results mean that animation materials which shows the macroscopic particle movement help stu-dents to understand scientific concepts and to elevate interests.
