주제탐구 중심의 수학영재 캠프 - 초등학교 중심 -

  • 영재교육이 우리나라의 미래를 좌우한다는 생각은 이제 매우 설득력을 얻고 있지만 구체적인 학습자료와 이론이 여전히 부족한 상태이다(1999,김주봉). 수학 캠프의 활동에 관한 교육 프로그램은 더욱더 찾아보기 힘들다. 대구광역시 동부교육청 시범영재학급에서는 03년 1월 9일부터 11일까지 2박3일간 동부 계명대학교 자연과학부 백은관에서 영재캠프를 개최하였다. 이번 캠프는 주제탐구중심의 캠프로서 협동심과 창의력중심으로 전국 최초로 이루어졌고, 4학년 22명, 5학년 21명, 6학년 24명 총 67명과 담당장학사1명, 진행도우미 8명, 운영교수진 8명, 체험학습 강사10명 총94명이 참가하였다. 프로그램은 영재교육의 전문가인 교수와 초 중등 현직교사들에 의하여 운영되었고, 프로그램 계획 수립 및 진행총괄은 담당장학사와 본 연구자가 진행하였다. 학생들의 수준의 차이가 적지 않는 데다가 본 연구자는 4개월 동안 캠프를 준비하여 학생들로부터 캠프에 대한 소감을 통하여 결과가 긍정적인 내용이 많아서 매우 성공적인 캠프가 이루어 졌다고 생각한다. 본 고에서는 캠프일정과 운영. 교육프로그램, 주제탐구물 결과에 대하여 살펴볼 것이다.

  • 미국당뇨협회에서 밝히고 있는 당뇨캠프의 목표는 '당뇨병을 가지고 생활하는 방법에 대한 교육을 통해 당뇨병으로 인해 당뇨병환자의 삶이 제한받지 않도록 하는 것'이다. (사)한국당뇨협회에서는 당뇨병환자와 가족에 대한 교육의 필요성을 깨닫고 지난 1998년부터 내년 성인 당뇨병환자를 대상으로 하는 당뇨캠프를 개최해 오고 있다. 지난 8월에는 충남 도고 소재 파라다이스호텔에서 제 9차 성인 당뇨 교육 캠프가 개최됐다. 유익한 교육과 즐거운 만남이 가득했던 제9차 당뇨캠프의 프로그램과 현장을 소개하면서, 아울러 당뇨캠프의 의의와 앞으로 나아갈 방향을 되새겨 보기로 한다.

A Study on the Science-Gifted Camp at Educational Institutions for the Gifted (과학영재교육기관 캠프 운영 실태 분석)

  • In this study, using a questionnaire about camp programs, we surveyed 375 gifted education institutes, including 285 classes for the gifted, 70 institutes for the gifted at education offices, and 20 institutes for the gifted at universities. The survey questionnaire consists of questions relating to camp design, camp operation, and camp introspection. The questions relating to camp operation are subdivided into questions relating to content, process, product, and learning environment of the camp. In the analysis of camp design, experience-centered camps entailing visits to research institutes, science museums, and so on showed the highest ratio. The camps were generally carried out in summer vacation as two day/one night programs. The average score of camp content was 3.72, that of camp process was 3.78, that of camp product was 3.77, and that of camp environment was 3.58. In the analysis of camp introspection, the item 'a lack of information about diverse camp activities' showed the highest difficult thing. Integrating these results, we suggest that information about diverse camp activities should be developed and supplied and the camp environment strengthen the freedom of students to select camp activities.

  • 2007년 8월 말. 올해도 어김없이 당뇨인을 위한 캠프가 개최되었다. (사)한국당뇨협회가 주최하고 보건복지부, 대한당뇨병학회가 후원하는 '당뇨캠프'는 올해로 10주년을 맞이해 당뇨교육의 중요성의 의미를 더욱 부여했다. 당뇨병환자가 당뇨에 대한 교육을 철저히 임하고 자기 자신과 싸워서 이겨야 한다는 것은 당뇨와 직접 싸우는 환자와 당뇨를 연구하는 의료진 모두 깊게 깨닫고 있는 바이다. (사)한국당뇨협회가 지난 10년간 주최한 당뇨캠프도 '환자의 당뇨교육'을 목적으로 교육이 당뇨관리에 얼마나 영향을 주고 올바른 당뇨관리로 들어서게 하는지에 대해 그 중점을 두고 있다. 이번 2007 당뇨캠프는 8월 27일(월)부터 30일(목)까지 충북 제천 청풍리조트에서 100명의 참가자들과 함께 개최되었다. 당뇨는 짊어지고 가야할 짐이 아니라 함께 동반해야 할 친구라는 것을 배우게 되는 당뇨캠프. 올해로 10주년을 맞이한 당뇨캠프는 어디서부터 시작되었는지, 또 3박4일간의 당뇨캠프에서 우리는 무엇을 얻고, 깨달을 수 있는지 지면을 통해 만나보자.

A Case Study of Bootcamp Program for Software Developer (소프트웨어 개발 인재 양성을 위한 부트캠프 사례 연구)

  • As the need for software development manpower increases, various educational programs appear and the popularity of bootcamp style education program for software development increases. However, despite the operations and forms of bootcamp education programs are completely different from the existing software development education programs, there is a lack of research in understanding bootcamp as a software education program. Therefore, this study tried to derive the core elements of the education program through a case study on bootcamp software developer education program. After conducting interviews of 7 members who have completed a series of bootcamp software developer education program X, seven characteristics of bootcamp-type software development education program were derived: intensive theory education, sense of growth and achievement, team project-based learning, community characteristics, peer pressure, stress and fatigue due to short-term learning, and contact-free specialty. Based on the derived characteristics, the advantages and improvements of bootcamp-type education were described, and the direction of the bootcamp-type education program for software developer was discussed.

Development and Application of Practice-Centered Science Camp Programs (체험중심 과학 캠프 프로그램의 개발 및 적용)

  • In this study the authors developed the practice-centered science camp program which was based on the review of out-of-school scientific activities and the standards of HASA (Hands, Head and Heart At Science Activity) curriculum emphasizing on hands-operated skills. After applying this science camp program we confirmed the validity of the program based on the students' responses at the camp. Using students' reports written during the camp and their essays written on the web-site after camp, we analyzed students' responses into four categories; knowledge, inquiry, hands-operated skills, and scientific attitudes. Also we evaluated the components of the science camp programs and students' perception of science and science-related attitudes using a questionnaire before and after the camp. In terms of contents and activities for the development and application of science camp, our result showed that the science camp program should be complemented to connect real life with high-tech science and include more activities related hands-operated skills and competition activities evoking constructive competitive spirits. In conclusion, we can infer that the agencies which take parts of the national policy enterprise related science education, such as Scientific Education Research Center, must develop and specialize science camp program with more competitive human resource system and economic support. Science educators should give more attention on joining school science education with out-of-school science education, which might have a positive effect on students' attitudes and participation toward science.

Effect of Short-term Nutrition Education Camp on Food and Nutrient Intakes of Obese Children (단기간 영양교육 캠프가 비만아동의 식품과 영양소 섭취에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of short-term nutrition education camp on food and nutrient intakes of obese children. The subjects of the study were 30 obese children in Gumi city who have obesity index over $130\%$. The food consumption of the subjects was surveyed for three days before the camp, for eleven days during the first camp and for three days after the second camp, by food record method. The mean intakes of energy and carbohydrates in obese children were significantly decreased during and after the nutrition education camp, and that of vitamin C was significantly increased after the camp. The mean daily total food intake of the subjects was gradually decreased from 1646.4g before the camp to 1438.6g during the camp and 1412.66g after the camp. Energy and fat intake ratios from grains and milks were significantly decreased after the camp compared with that before the camp, and the energy intake ratio from grains, milks and eggs was significantly low during the camp. The protein intake ratios from grains, potatoes, vegetables and fishes were significantly increased after the camp. The calcium intake ratios from potatoes and milks were significantly increased during and after the camp, and the ratio from eggs was significantly decreased after the camp. The iron intake ratios from potatoes and fishes were significantly increased during and after the camp, and the ratio from grains was significantly low during the camp. The results of the study demonstrated that the short-term nutrition education program positively affected the overall food consumption and nutrients intakes of obese children.

  • 당뇨병은 교육이 곧 치료이다. 교육의 효과가 일상생활에 옮겨지기 위해서는 환자 스스로가 실천할 수 있어야 하는데 막상 실생활에서 행하기가 쉽지만은 않다. 그렇기 때문에 직접 경험해 보고 깨닫는 방법이야말로 가장 훌륭한 교육방법이다. 당뇨캠프는 당뇨관리에 평소 소홀히 했거나 무지했던 당뇨인들에게 교육을 통해 올바른 지식을 전달하고 실천 가능한 당뇨관리가 될 수 있도록 돕고 있다.

  • 1998년 강원도 용평에서 제1회로 시작된 (사)한국당뇨협회 주최의 당뇨캠프가 어느덧 15회를 맞았다. (사)한국 당뇨협회는 1995년 보건복지부 허가로 당뇨인들을 위한 교육과 홍보를 위한 비영리 사단법인으로 설립되었다. 설립 이후 당뇨병 공개강좌와 캠페인, 산악회 등 다양한 방법으로 당뇨인들에게 도움을 주고자 노력하였다. 그러한 노력의 일환으로 보다 효율적이고 체계적인 교육을 위해 당뇨캠프를 계획하게 되었고 1998년도부터 매해 당뇨캠프를 개최하게 되었다. 당뇨캠프의 중점은 실생활에 적용할 수 있는 다각도적인 당뇨 관리방법을 교육함으로써 당뇨인들의 삶의 질을 증진시키는 것에 있다. 특히 당뇨병과 더불어 살아가야 하는 당뇨인들에게는 올바른 지식을 배움으로써 평소 소홀하거나 무지했던 부분을 바로잡고 삶에서 실천하는 법을 배우는 유익한 시간이었다.

The Effects of Career Education Program using a Career Camp on Elementary School Students' Career Maturity, Career Self-Efficacy, and Career Barriers (진로캠프를 활용한 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 진로성숙도와 진로자기효능감 및 진로장벽에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of career education program using a career camp on elementary school students' career maturity, career self-efficacy, and career barriers. This study was conducted on 50 elementary school students in Busan, who are divided into two groups; one is an experimental group of 25 students and the other is a control group. The result is analyzed by Analysis of Covariance(ANCOVA) for the career maturity, career self-efficacy, and career barriers. The conclusions are as follows: First, the experimental group participated in the career education program using a career camp showed higher level in career maturity as a whole opposed to the control group. Second, the experimental group participated in the career education program using a career camp showed higher level in career self-efficacy. Third, the experimental group participated in the career education program using a career camp showed lower level in career barriers as a whole opposed to the control group. Thus, the results of this study show the importance of developing a model for career education program using a career camp of department of education.
