Development and Application of Educational Contents for Entry Programming to Improve Metacognition (메타인지 향상을 위한 엔트리 프로그래밍 교육 콘텐츠 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the effects of the software education contents for enhancing metacognition of the cognitive issues that improve the creative problem solving ability. The experimental group was taught by entry programming class using the software education contents developed in this study while the control group was taught by traditional method for entry programming. To confirm the changes of two groups, metacognitive post t-test was performed and compared with pre t-test results. The analysis result of the post t-test showed the following: There are statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group at a significance level of 0.05 for the interest of the experimental group. Therefore it was confirmed that the programming classes using software contents is effective in improving the metacognition of students.

  • 현대에 이르러 개인의 힘으로는 해결하기 난해한 문제들이 갈수록 많아지고 있다. 따라서 문제를 해결하기 위한 정보의 유통 구조도 기존의 수직적이고 단방향적인 구조에서 수평적이고 양방향적인 구조로 변화하고 있다. 이에 맞추어 웹 2.0 플랫폼이 대두되었고 위키피디아, 지식 검색 등 집단의 힘을 빌려 문제를 해결하는 방법들이 주목을 받고 있다. 하지만 집단의 힘에 기대어 정보를 생산하는 것이 언제나 옳고 효율적이라고 말할 수 없다. 누구든 참여할 수 있다는 특징으로 인해 악용되는 부작용도 있을뿐더러 전문적인 의견이 필요한 영역의 경우에는 일반 지식의 힘이 도움이 못 되는 경우도 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대중들에게 쉽게 사용되고 있는 검색 사이트와 집단 지성의 대표 사례 중 하나인 위키 피디아를 통해 집단 지성의 힘이 충분히 발휘될 수 있는 문제의 영역에 대해 탐색하고자 한다.

Analysis of Changes in Sociality of Gifted Elementary Students Depending on LT Cooperative Learning (LT 협동학습에 따른 초등 정보영재의 사회성 변화 분석)

  • In this paper, the elementary students from the Information class of the Science Education Institute for the Gifted were divided into the experimental and control groups. The two groups took Scratch programming classes and the changes in their sociality were analyzed. The experimental group used the Scratch remix function, an educational programming language, to perform the LT cooperative learning. The control group took general instructor-led classes. The experimental group carried out a team project in which learners should cooperate with each other to produce certain results using the remix function. Twelve 3-hour lessons were taken by the experimental and control groups consisting of 30 and 30 students respectively to verify changes depending on remix-based cooperative learning. According to t-test using the survey results, the experimental group that performed cooperative learning using the Scratch remix function showed more improved sociality than the control group did. There was a statistically significant difference as well.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 1) 집단 급식소의 재고 관리 시스템에 관한 자기학습식 Module (Self-instructional Module)을 개발하고, 2) 비동등 통계 실험연구 디자인 (Nonequivalent Control group research design)을 사용하요 자기학습식 재고 관리 시스템 Module의 교육적 효과를 평가하여, 3) 교육기관 및 집단 급식소에서의 교육용 교재로서의 타당성 여부를 검증하고자 함이다. 집단급식소의 재고 관리 시스템에 관한 자기학습식 Module을 개발하기 위해서 현재 미국 전역의 가정대학 내의 식품영양 및 급식경양학과에서 재고 관리에 관련된 교과목을 위하여 채택되어 사용되어지고 있는 주요 교과서들의 내용 분석과 급식경영학 전공 교수 3인의 판단에 기초를 두어 재고관리에 포함되어야 할 내용이 분석되었다. 포함되어져 있는 내용의 목차는 반입(receiving), 저장(storing), 출고(issuing), 재고통제(inventory control), 재고의 자산적 가치(inventory valuation) 및 재고관리 시스템의 자동화(inventory control computer system)등이다. 실험 대상은 Iowa 주립대학에서 급식정보관리 (Foodservice Management Information System) 과목을 수강하였던 88명의 학생이며, 강의를 통해 수업을 받은 통제집단 46명과, 자기 학습식 Module을 사용했던 실험집단 42명으로 구성되었다. 모든 실험 대상에게는 사전검사(Pretest)와 사후검사(posttest)를 실시하였으며 자료의 처리는 SPSS PC Package를 통계법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 강의 중심의 통제집단과 자기학습식 Module을 사용했던 실험집단 간의 통제 후 평균 값(posttest adjusted mean score)사이에는 유의적인 차이를 보였으며 (p<0.05), 자기 학습식 Module 그룹에 속해 있던 학생들이 더 높은 통제 후 평균값(adjusted mean score)을 보여 주었다. 그러므로, 이 실험을 통하여, 개발된 집단 급식소 재고관리 시스템에 대한 자기학습식 Module은 학생들에게 재고관리 시스템에 관한 개념과 내용의 습득력을 향상시키는데 있어서 적어도 강의식 교수법과 동일하거나 더나은 교육적 효과를 가져왔다고 판단되었다.

Effects of Programming-based TPACK Education Program on the Teaching Expertise of Pre-service Teachers

  • This study analyzes the effects of programming-based TPACK education programs, designed by Kim and Lee (2019), on the teaching expertise of pre-service teachers. The research subjects were 40 pre-service teachers, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group underwent the programming-based TPACK education program, and the control group used an ICT-based TPACK education program. A test tool was used to measure not only teaching expertise but also teaching efficacy and self-efficacy beliefs about technology integration. As a result of the study, teaching expertise, teaching efficacy, and self-efficacy beliefs about technology integration improved significantly in the experimental group. The pretest showed no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, but in the post-test, the experimental group showed significantly higher teaching expertise than the control group. These results showed that the programming-based TPACK education program is effective for developing teaching expertise in pre-service teachers.

Analysis of Effect that Pair Programming Develope of Computational Thinking and Creativity in Elementary Software Education (초등학교 SW교육에서 동료 프로그래밍 교육 방법이 컴퓨팅 사고력과 창의성 신장에 미치는 효과 분석)

  • In this study, It analyzed the effect of pair programming teaching methods in elementary software education. At first, for the development of SW educational programs it surveyed 162 elementary students and 34 teachers in J area. As a result, developed SW educational programs based on geometry in elementary mathematics and it was applied. For application SW programs it was constructed 22 students experimental group, 22 students comparison group of 44 students in 3, 4, 5th grade the winter break of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ university education donation application. First, software education using pair programming will be more effective on the development of elementary school students' computational thinking. Second, software education using pair programming will be more effective on the development of elementary school students' creativity. Test results, pair programming is to show a significant difference on the development of computational thinking and creativity in elementary software education.

An Analytic Study of Beliefs in Mathematics and Mathematics Education (예비 중등수학교사의 수학 및 수학교육에 관련한 신념 분석연구)

  • The study focuses on what to consider and do for the improvement of math education of Korean Universities by comparing freshmen and seniors of department of math education in their beliefs in mathematics and math. education. The major comparing topics in the beliefs are composed of perception of mathematics as a science, learning methods of mathematics, teaching methods of mathematics, and roles and qualifications of math. teachers. The results of the study show that junior students tend to be more positive in their beliefs, especially in math education area than that of mathematics, compared to the freshmen. It implies that how important the role of topics covered in math education during college years is for changing the future teachers' beliefs in math and math education more positively. The supposed influencing contents of the curriculum of math. education are composed of learning reflection method based on problem-based learning, understanding mathematics as originated from the real world, mathematical pedagogy, text analysis, practice in classroom, and understanding various concepts in math. education area.

Analysis of difference in elementary-school students' recognition on CS education according to CS education with application of Education Programing Tool (교육용 프로그래밍 도구 활용의 정보과학교육을 통한 초등학생의 정보과학에 대한 인식 분석)

  • Elementary information education is currently provided in accordance with the 2000 ICT educational guidelines. Although the focus of education has shifted from practical use to computer science since 2005, in which way academic education should be led isn't yet clear. The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of computer science education(CS education) by an education programming tool on school children's awareness of that education. The selected students received education about unplugged, scratch and robot programming, part of the computer science curriculum, in 12 sessions. As a result, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in all the variables that included attitude to computer science, interest in that, satisfaction level, self-efficacy and perception of the value of CS education. The findings of the study suggested that in CS education, the improvement of thinking faculty should take precedence over practical use of what's learned, which is expected to heighten the value of that education.

A Study on the Effects of Early Childhood Design Education Program Activities Based on Brain-Compatible Learning Principles (뇌 기반 학습원리를 적용한 유아디자인교육 활동이 유아의 창의성과 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the effects of early childhood design program based on brain-compatible learning principles. Subjects were thirty-six children from two class of I kindergarten and S kindergarten in K city. One class was assigned to an experimental group and had early childhood education program activities based on brain-compatible learning principles and the other class was assigned to a comparative group the general art education program activities. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in their fluency, originality, sensitivity of creativity. Second, participants in the experimental group also score higher on the helpful act, communication skill, sharing skill, empathy, and regulation of emotion. Therefore, early childhood design education program based on brain-compatible learning principles should be considered as a meaningful alternative method for promoting children's creativity and prosocial behaviors.

The Effect of the Medical Service by Service Instruction of Dental Health Care Worker (치과 의료 종사자의 의료 서비스 교육이 의료 서비스에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was aimed to survey the level of service education in the people engaging in medical services and identify the influence of the education on their job performance. This study was conducted from February 10th, 2000 to March 10th, 2000, centering on Seoul and Kyonggi area. A total of 341 questionnaires were distributed for the survey. The result ware as followings: (1) In a question about the satisfaction over general medical services such as the location of medical institutions, medical equipments and devices, and the attitudes of medical personnel, the group with service education marked 4.07 while the group with no education earned 3.97, showing statistically significant difference(p<.05). (2) In the area of medical institutions image, level of medical services and promotion, the group with service education showed 4.01 while the group with no education gained 3.83, also showing statistically significant difference(p<.05). (3) No statistically meaningful difference was revealed in the area of satisfaction for over all medical services such as the contentment about the medical services being provided, rooms for improvement and the adequacy of the number of medical personnel. The group with education acquired 3.32, with the group with no education 3.34. (4) Satisfaction about the education and awareness about medical services were high in the group of dental hygienists and showed a statistically meaningful difference. (5) The average number of education recorded 1.83 and satisfaction over service education inside the hospital was low, registering 3.24. (6) Teamwork among the personnel in the hospital was 3.70, which is relatively high. The fulfillment over given tasks posted 3.56 and the recommendation for medical institutions was low, recording 3.24. (7) The necessity of medical service education for medical personnel gained 4.40, indicating heightened awareness over the need for service education.
