Web-Based 3D Model Management System for Virtual Training Contents Production (가상훈련 컨텐츠 제작을 위한 웹 기반 3D 모델 관리 시스템)

  • Recently, the growth of the computer-related industries lead to the growth of the computer-aided education. Virtual training (VT) is one of the most interesting education methods. Many 3D models for the VT contents have been produced, but little research has been performed for the unified management system to promote the reuse of 3D models. This paper proposes the unified 3D model management system. The 3D model file formats are surveyed to find a format that can be easily used by many VT content production softwares. The 3D model files will be stored in a central DB server. The structure of the DB system will be designed for 3D models. The system provides an easy way to search and download a 3D model. With the proposed system, the reuse of 3D models is expected to be promoted.

  • 본 논문에서는 MPEG-21 프레임워크에서 이용되는 기본 단위인 디지털 아이템(Digital Item)의 처리에 관한 과정을 설명하고, 처리과정에 적용 가능한 디지털 아이템의 모델링에 대하여 논하였다 MPEG-21 에서 정의된 디지털 아이템 선언(Digital Item Declaration;DID)은 디지털 아이템의 정적인 선언에 그치는 반면, 디지털 아이템 프로세싱(Digital Item Processing;DIP)을 기반으로 한 디지털 아이템에는 처리 및 이용에 관한 기능이 부여된다. 모델링된 디지털 아이템의 처리를 위한 구조를 정의하고, DIP 구조와 디지털 아이템의 유효성을 입증하기 위해 교육용 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 담고 있는 디지털아이템을 생성하였다. 또한 DIP 기반에서 모델링된 디지털 아이템을 소비할 수 있는 디지털 아이템 플레이어의 구현과 테스트 결과에 대해서도 설명하였다.

  • 정보통신부가 후원하고 한국데이터베이스진흥센터와 조선일보, 매일경제신문, 한국소프트웨어진흥원이 주관한 2000년도 제 3/4분기 디지털콘텐츠 대상 수상식이 지난 10월 6일 정보통신부 중회의실에서 열렸다. 이날 수상식에는 안병엽 정보통신부 장관을 비롯 한국데이터베이스 진흥센터의 이준우 전무이사 정보통신분야 주요 인사들이 대거 참석해 눈길을 끌었다. 이날 수상한 업체 및 수상한 컨텐츠를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 디지털정보 및 웹케스팅 부문에서는 (주)코스모정보통신의 '사이버타운'과 (주)에듀원커뮤니케이션의 '라카데미'가 수상했다. 공익 및 교육용 콘텐츠 부문에는 (주)윈글리쉬닷컴의 '윈글리시'가 수상했으며, 온라인 및 네트워크게임 부문에는 (주)엔포에버의 '게임에버랜드'가 수상을 했다. 또한 디지털영상 부문에서는 (주)코리아인터미디어의 '예카'가 각각 수상했다.

  • Students, who are studying the field of accounting, have to learn and practice statistics in order to analyze the current social status and to predict the Suture trend. however, students have a strong tendency to avoid the statistics lessons, which are dealing with complicated numbers, mathematics, various equations, and so on. This paper aims to construct a stimulating environment for learning statistics and develop an actual lesson on the Internet, Which students can study by practicing directly. The lesson is fully interactive and visualized by using multimedia technologies. The effectiveness of the experiment is measured by survey questions to the students who used the lesson.

  • A novel audio watermark algorithm, the Modified Patchwork Algorithm, is applied to the speech to show that it is effective for digital broadcasting systems. Digital broadcasting system does not separate speech from audio data. However. speech data is very important especially for educational broadcasting. Speech can carry more information than video data. Thus, intellectual property management and protection for speech data is urgent. This paper addresses the technical issues, speech watermark algorithm, and its robustness against malicious attacks.

  • Cellular phones have been popularized and some of them even have access to the Internet. But the utilization of mobile phones has not been for education but only focused on particular services due to the text-based low capacity. This thesis proposes a multimedia education system using cell phones with SMIL. We can decrease the size of the parser and refute the resources of CPU by designing SMIL tag only, which is needed for multimedia education. In addition, the macro method for producing information for lectures will make possible decreased transmission quantity of multimedia contents and increased transmission efficiency. This will lead to overcoming the matter of insufficient CPU and memory, which is common to most mobile phone terminals.

  • 최근 지식정보화 시대의 집단지성기반 교육 패러다임 변화는 큰 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 특히 융합적 학문을 근원으로 창의성 계발과 아이디어를 중요시하고 있으며, 창조적 교육방식을 지향하고 있다. 그러나 다양한 영역에 지식전문가들과 학습자들 간에 지식을 공유하기 위한 플랫폼 공간이 제대로 제공되고 있지 못하며, 단순한 컨텐츠 제공을 목적으로 이러닝 서비스가 일부 제공되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 집단지성을 기반으로 지능형 튜터링 에이전트 시스템 설계를 제안하고, 새로운 에이전트(Agent) 개념을 통해 지식인들과 학습자들 간에 지식을 공유할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 새로운 지식을 창출하고, 관리 및 유통할 수 있는 구조를 연구하였다. 또한 사용자들로부터 발생하는 데이터와 정보들을 자동 분석하여 지능적으로 학습상황에 대처할 수 있도록 설계하였으며, 튜터(Tutor)와 튜티(Tutee)간에 협력적인 학습 생태계가 형성될 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 기반으로 미래 스마트 학습 플랫폼 발전에 많은 도움이 되길 기대한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness and necessity of improvement for the currently implemented education and training in order to cultivate and secure excellent construction engineers of domestic construction companies, and to suggest future improvement measures. The conclusions obtained through this study are as follows. The overall satisfaction of construction engineers at the construction site was high, and it was found to be effective in improving job skills, but the educational content, educational methods, and educational environment need to be improved. In order to improve the educational content, it is urgent to introduce a practical-oriented educational curriculum to respond to technological development. In order to increase the educational effect of online education methods, it is very important to develop excellent educational content. In order to improve the educational environment, it is necessary to expand customized practice spaces, establish educational facilities by region, and operate shuttle buses.

Development and Evaluation of Consumer Educational Contents on Safety Management of Imported Foods for Female College Students in Seoul (수입식품 안전관리에 관한 소비자 교육 컨텐츠 개발 및 교육효과 조사 - 서울시에 거주하는 여대생 중심으로 -)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the consumer recognition with regard to the safety management for imported foods. In order to evaluate the effect of the prgram on consumer education, the program was practiced for 89 female college students in Seoul, Korea. The participants were given an instruction with materials on imported food safety, including the safety management of imported foods and their distribution. The results showed that the participants achieved a greater understanding of imported foods. In particular, they had firmly grasped the importance of expiration date in selecting imported foods. Before the instruction, 50.6% of total participants blamed the Korean government for the problems arising from imported foods; only 18.0% placed the blame on individuals or businesses importing from foreign countries. After the instruction, 39.3% had blamed the individuals or businesses importing from foreign countries. Furthermore, 36.0% had disapproved of the foods that are imported from China before the instruction, while 32.6% found objectionable the views on the illegally distributed foods; 29.2% criticized the junk foods that target children (after the instruction). In addition, the level of participant satisfaction via-a-vis imported foods safety supervision had improved from $2.76{\pm}1.59$(before the instruction) to $3.37{\pm}1.58$(after the instruction). The results indicate that consumers are concerned with the imported foods that contain adulterated or forbidden substances and the illegally distributed foods from foreign countries. Thus, consistent and informative educational programs on imported food safety could help consumers in choosing safer products, resulting in an improvement in the consumer confidence with respect to imported foods.

  • The purpose of this paper was to diagnose the current status of educational use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in school. Based on the survey results, the direction for the educational use of information and communication technology was suggested. The findings were the use of ICT for teaching and learning activities were quite low in schools. The equipments for ICT were becoming out-dated quickly requiring replacement with new ones. The maintenance and operation of the equipments require additional funds that are not sufficient in most schools. There were quite limited number of educational software and a quality of CD-ROM titles. The infrastructures for developing and supplying educational software were poorly structured. The following policies were suggested: Establishing an efficient system for supplying equipments for ICT to schools; Constructing an effective infrastructure for developing and supplying educational software to teachers and students; Developing practical and effective teacher training programs; And funding schools for the maintenance of educational use of ICT.
