Changes in Secondary Education Costs (1990-2004) (중고교의 교육서비스 가격변화에 대한 분석(1990-2004))

  • This research was conducted to find out price change of education service. Consumer Price Index annual series data in Korea National Statistical office from 1990 to 2004 were used for analysis. First, education price indexes showed an average annual increase of 7.3% during the last 15 years (1990-2004), marking the highest increase among items in the CPI basket. The average annual increase in tuition fees and other fees, expenditure classes of education price. has been 7.5% and 6.0%, respectively. Secondly, an average increase in tuition fees for two-year college was higher, followed by tuition fees for kindergarten, private four-year college, national four-year college and secondary schools. An average increase in primary school textbook costs was higher in the category of 'other fees' followed by junior high school textbook costs, junior high school supplementary book costs and home delivery supplementary book costs Thirdly, there were no differences in price changes of secondary school textbooks, junior high school supplementary books, high school supplementary books among 16 locations. An average increase in after-school education (selective subjects) for college entrance examination was higher in Gwangju but lower in Seoul, compared with other cities. An average of 7% difference was seen annually among regions. When the year 2000 was considered as 100, the most significant gains were seen in Kwangju at 80% and Gangwon at 57%. An increase in after-school education (all subjects) for college entrance examination was higher in South Cholla Province but lower in North Gyeongsang Province. An increase in after-school education (all subjects) for college entrance examination was higher in South Cholla Province but lower in North Gyeongsang Province. An average of 7% difference was seen annually in the annual increase. When the year 2000 was considered 100, most significant increase was seen in Busan and South Gyeongsang Province at 37% and Jeju Island at 34%.

Effects of the Educational Environment on Studio Apartment Prices : Focusing on Deposit and Monthly Rental Rates in Seoul (교육환경이 주거용 오피스텔의 가격에 미치는 영향 : 서울 전월세거래를 바탕으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the educational environment on the prices of studio apartments, known as officetels, in Korea. Since the revision of relevant laws in 2010, they have served as substitutes for residential purposes in areas suffering from housing shortage, especially where the educational environment is a significant factor. To assess the relation between the educational environment and rental rates, the hedonic price model and artificial neural networks were implemented. The national assessment of the academic performance of middle and high schools that were closest to each officetel, and the ratio of students going to special-purpose schools and private high schools were considered as independent variables. Research findings indicated that the positive effect of the dependent variable increased as the value of educational environment-related variables increased. This result could be utilized as a functional index for housing providers after considering educational environments.

  • This study began with the fact that the relationship between eductional environments and housing price needs to be understood in the context of the structuring of socio-spatial disparity. In other words, this paper focuses on the fact that the eduction with public features and functions plays a role of housing price determination and the rising price is privatized only to cause socio-spatial inequality. The study first examines how the education factors determine the housing price and cause increasing social inequality in Seoul at the macro level. It also carried out more detailed quantitative analysis on the relationship between educational environment factors and housing price with the case study of Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. This study found out that the close relationship between educational environment, housing price and social disparity at various spatial scales. It also figured out the the educational environment factors play an important role of housing price determination as much as material features per se. This means that the relationship between education, housing price and inequality needs to be dealt with not just socially but also in spatial perspective. In addition, the housing price determination is not just technical research but an social science issue in the context of rising socio-spatial disparity. This study is of only significance as a starting point of promising related researches in the future and much more efforts will be needed.

Effects of Seodaegu Station Development on the Surrounding Apartment Market: Focus on the Effects of Educational Environment (서대구역 개발이 주변 아파트 시장에 미치는 영향 분석: 교육환경이 미치는 영향을 중심으로)

  • Apartments constitute 64% of the housing type composition, representing the highest proportion among housing types. This proportion has been increasing annually. Given this trend, apartment prices are likely to have a significant impact on the national economy and people's livelihoods. This study examines the impact of the recent development of Seodaegu Station on the surrounding apartment market, with a specific focus on the effects of the educational environment. To this end, we conduct empirical analysis employing a hedonic price model and spatial autocorrelation analysis, based on actual transaction price data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. The study revealed three key findings: first, the development of Seodaegu Station positively impacted apartment prices. Second, this positive effect increases with the proximity to Seodaegu Station. Third, the enhancement of the educational environment nearby the Seodaegu Station development also positively influenced apartment prices. This study aims to serve as baseline research output for the public management of future metropolitan transportation facility development projects and for predicting apartment price trends.

  • 스팟 인스턴스(Spot instance)는 클라우드 환경에서 사용자가 제시한 입찰 가격으로 클라우드 내의 자원을 이용하여 작업을 수행할 수 있게 하는 새로운 방식이다. 사용자는 자신의 입찰 금액이 클라우드 내의 스팟 인스턴스 가격을 초과하는 한 인스턴스를 실행할 수 있다. 그러나 입찰 가격이 스팟 가격보다 낮다면 작업 실패가 발생하고, 이로 인해 작업 완료 시간은 지연되며 서비스 품질은 저하된다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 스팟 인스턴스에서 사용자 비드가 초과되어 작업 수행이 중지된 VM에 대하여 체크포인트 기법과 VM 이주(migration) 기법을 이용함으로써 작업 대기 시간을 줄이는 방법을 제안한다. 이는 작업 중인 스팟 인스턴스에서 작업 실패가 발생할 경우 다른 인스턴스로 이주하여 작업을 재수행하는 기법이다. 실험 결과는 제안하는 VM 이주 기법이 작업을 수행할 수 있는 스팟 인스턴스의 가용성을 증가시킬 수 있음을 보여준다.

Effect of Educational Attainment of Household Head on Eating-out Demand (가구주 학력이 외식수요에 미치는 효과)

  • Korean households' expenditures on the eating -out have been steadily increasing except for the foreign exchange crisis period. This paper aimed to examine the eating-out expenditures of salary and wage earners's households by educational attainment of household head. We modeled the demand function of eating-out in terms of income and price, examining the responsiveness of eating-out demand to changes in income and price using econometric methods such as regression, rolling regression and impulse response. This paper showed that coefficients of income and price tended to decrease as the income rises in the long-run. Specifically, the higher the educational attainment of household head is, the smaller the coefficients of income and price we. The impulse response analysis also indicated that while price shocks decreased the demand for eating-out, income shocks tended to increase tile demand for eating-out in all the educational attainments. Furthermore income shocks were much greater and last longer than price shocks at all educational attainments of household heads.

  • 클라우드 환경에서 스팟 인스턴스(spot instance)는 사용자가 제시한 입찰 가격으로 클라우드 내의 자원을 활용하도록 해 준다. 그러나 사용자의 입찰 가격이 클라우드 자원 가격보다 높으면 작업 실패가 발생하고 이로 인해 작업 완료 시간의 지연과 서비스 품질의 저하를 야기한다. 이 문제에 효과적으로 대처하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 시간 문턱치 기반의 검사점(time threshold-based checkpointing) 기법을 제안하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 작업 수행 시간과 비용 절감 관점에서 기존 기법과 비교 분석한다.

A Study on Commercial Kimichi Consumption of Housewives is Seoul and Chungbuk Area (주부들의 시판김치 사용실태 조사-서울. 충북지역 중심으로-)

  • 서울,충북지역의 주부 590명을 대상으로 시판김치의 사용실태를 설문 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 시판김치의 구매는 30대에서 많았고 고졸의 경우에 많았다. 직업 유무, 월수입, 주거 및 가족형태는 시판 김치 이용과 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았지만 연령과 교육수준에 따라서는 유의적인 차이(P<0.05)연령이 낮을수록, 교육수준은 높을수록 시판김치를 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 시판김치의 선호도는 배추김치가 73.2%로 높게 나타났고, 시판김치 구매 장소는 주로 대형 수퍼마켓을 이용하였으며, 1회 구매분량은 3포기를 구맹하는 경우가 가장 많았다. 구매 이유는 편리하기 때문과 가사와 자녀로 시간이 부족하여 구매하는 경우가 많았다. 또한 어떻게 담그는지 몰라서 구매하는 경우도 있었다. 제품 선택 동기는 주로 구맹 경험에 의해서 시판결치를 구입하였다. 광고를 보고 구매하는 경우도 있었고 재료나 점원의 권유에 의해서 구매하는 경우도 있었다. 응답자들이 가장 맣이 지적한시판 김치으 개선점은 가격이었다. 가격이 비싸다고 생각하는 경구가 많았다. 그밖에 위생명, 맛의 다양성, 분량과 용기의 개선도 필요하다고 생각하는 경우가 있었다. 향후 시판김치 구매 여부에 대해서는 73.2%가 긍정적으로 응답하여 앞으로도 시판김치를 구매할것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 보면 상품화 된 김치의 이용은 젊은 세대뿐만 아니라 교육수준의 향상에 의해 주부들의 라이프 스타일이 식생화에도 반영되기 때문에 계속증가할 것으로예측된다. 그러므로 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 하여 가격면, 위생면, 맛의 다양성, 분량과 용기 등에 있어서도 한 단꼐 개선된 고품질 김치의 생산이 요구된다고 볼 수 있다.

Analysis of Surveys to Determine the Real Prices of Ingredients used in School Foodservice (학교급식 식재료별 시장가격 조사 실태 분석)

  • Objectives: The purpose was to identify the ingredients that are usually surveyed for assessing real prices and to present the demand for such surveys by nutrition teachers and dietitians for ingredients used by school foodservice. Methods: A survey was conducted online from December 2019 to January 2020. The survey questionnaire was distributed to 1,158 nutrition teachers and dietitians from elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, and 439 (37.9% return rate) of the 1,158 were collected and used for data analysis. Results: The ingredients which were investigated for price realities directly by schools were industrial products in 228 schools (51.8%), fruits in 169 schools (38.4%), and specialty crops in 166 schools (37.7%). Moreover, nutrition teachers and dietitians in elementary, middle, and high schools searched in different ways for the real prices of ingredients. In elementary schools, there was a high demand for price information about grains, vegetables or root and tuber crops, special crops, fruits, eggs, fishes, and organic and locally grown ingredients by the School Foodservice Support Centers. Real price information about meats, industrial products, and pickled processed products were sought from the external specialized institutions. In addition, nutrition teachers and dietitians in middle and high schools wanted to obtain prices of all of the ingredients from the Offices of Education or the District Office of Education. Conclusions: Schools want to efficiently use the time or money spent on research for the real prices of ingredients through reputable organizations or to co-work with other nutrition teachers and dietitians. The results of this study will be useful in understanding the current status of the surveys carried out to determine the real price information for ingredients used by the school foodservice.

  • 초중고 등 가장 기본적인 공교육에서부터 기업에서 이뤄지는 직능 교육에 이르기까지 굳이 교육에 대한 중요성을 일일이 열거하지 않더라도 이 미교육은일상생활깊숙이자리잡고있다. 이러상황에서최근몇년간기존오프라인교육에서벗어나새로운온라인교육방식, e러닝에대한관 심과투자가이뤄졌다. 하지만e러닝은거대해보이는시장규모와는달리정작업체들의영세성, 가격경쟁, e러닝에대한사용자인식부족등이 복합적으로어우러져시장성장이더디게이뤄졌다. 최근들어기존의문제점을하나하나풀어나가며새로운중흥기를맞고있는e러닝의시장현 황과표준화동향에대해서살펴본다.
