Web based PBL Teaching·Learning Development Model for Medical Education (의료정보 교육을 위한 웹기반 PBL 교수·학습 콘텐츠 개발 모형)

  • Recent changes in medical environment are based on technology such as internet. As most hospitals require the change and the adaptation of medical, medical information experts are more needed. In this study, we developed web based PBL model and applied it to the students majoring in medical information system. The developed web-PBL model focuses on learner's online learning activities to enhance collaborative learning and self-directed learning by using online learning tools. At the result of the research, We found that the students' course evaluation somewhat increased compared to the previous class and the students positively perceived on PBL model. Moreover, this study showed that using blog as a online learning tool was a good way to enhance cooperative learning.

A Study on Developing Flipped-MOOC Model in University (대학에서의 Flipped-MOOC 모형 개발)

  • The purpose of this research is to make a Flipped-MOOC model which can be applied and practiced in the college course after analyzing the characteristics and cases of MOOC and Flipped learning. For this, this study implemented the following tasks. First, this study analyzed the management and class types of MOOC and flipped learning through literature research. Secondly, flipped learning was applied in the course for a semester and the strong point and weak point of the course was analyzed and the alternative was suggested. Thirdly, the core ideas and strategies of Flipped-MOOC model was deducted for enhancing the participation and interaction of the students in the course which uses the MOOC content and applies flipped learning, and the instructional strategies and direction for the effective management in the real educational field was suggested. As a result, Flipped-MOOC model is expected to contribute for the educational revolution, change and quality improvement, and it is expected that Flipped-MOOC model might contribute to the lifelong education and educational competitiveness.

Logic for Engineers: a teaching.learning model for logic in 'Presentation and Discussion' (공학도를 위한 논리: '발표와 토론'을 위한 논리 교수.학습 모형)

  • In this paper we provide a teaching learning method for logic in debate, in particular, in debate of engineers. First we criticize the concept of argument and the Toulmin model on argument used in education for debate. We next provide a general method for learning arguments needed in debate. Finally, we suggest the hypothetico-inferential method and the model for inference to the best choice as argument methods coming in useful in debate education for engineers.

  • 정보화 사회에서의 일원으로 꼭 갖추어야 할 정보통신윤리 덕목들은 기존 산업화 사회에서의 교수-학습방법으로는 부적절하다. 덕 교육 (Virtues Education)은 행위자가 교육의 중심이 되어, 인지 정의 행동의 통합과 공동체주의를 중요시 여겨 학습자 스스로 윤리를 체득하도록 하는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 덕 교육의 장점을 기반으로 학습자가 보다 재미있고 쉬운 학습을 통해 정보통신윤리의 능동적이고 자연스러운 체득이 가능하도록 게임 모형을 개발하였다. 본 게임 모형은 문제 사태를 확인하고, 그에 관련된 규범을 찾고, 규범의 의미와 근거를 찾은 후, 판단을 예측하고, 판단하여 미션을 해결하는 모형이다. 본 모형의 장점 (특징)은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습자가 쉽고 재미있게 정보통신윤리 학습을 할 수 있다. 둘째, 게임을 진행하며 윤리의식을 교사가 전달하는 것이 아닌, 학습자 스스로 체득하게 할 수 있다. 셋째, 정보화 사회의 구성원으로서 알맞은 가치관을 확립하여, 정보화 사회의 역기능에 대해 올바르게 판단하고 실천할 수 있다.

An analysis on the research trend of teaching and learning methods of informatics education in Korea (정보 교육의 교수·학습 방법에 대한 국내 연구 동향 분석)

  • The 2015 revised educational curricula focused on creative and convergent student education, so the importance of informatics education is arising along with emphases on its teaching and learning methods. This study has analyzed the research trend of teaching and learning methods and suggested their implications by selecting 179 studies of same keyword searching from 2000 to the present years and classifying them into 16 categories. This analysis showed that problem based learning was the most researched topic on these subjects, while unplugged learning, Creative Problem Solving model and peer teaching were among the actively studied topics. In the content domain of informatics curriculum, the problem solution and programming was most researched. This study is expected to suggest implications for not only studying informatics education research but also selecting teaching and learning methods in the field of class for teachers.

A Study of a Teaching and Learning Process of the Information and Communication Ethics Based on Creative Problem Solving Method (창의적 문제해결 과정 기반의 정보통신 윤리교육 교수-학습과정 연구)

  • It is not easy to find out well organized teaching and learning methodology as the adverse effects of the internet have made a lot of problems because we realize the importance of the information/cyber ethic education. In this paper, I suggest the teaching and learning process of the information/cyber ethic education as applying the creative problem solving process of the six-step model proposed by A. Osborn and S. Parnes. We divided fifth grade 54 elementary school students into two groups, a experimental group and a control group, and conducted the the teaching and learning experimental methods. The experimental group, conducted educational teaching and learning methods for information ethics education using creative problem solving process, got a better result compared to the other group. It must be one of the systematic approach to lead changes of learners'; recognition, focusing on the ethics problem-solving process.

  • Supporting of the user-wanted teaching&learning functions is an important factor to improve the learning effects in a e-learning system. However, most methods are not enough to refer a model for supporting a teaching&learning function in a planning, development, operation, and evaluation. Accordingly, we propose the specified reference model for supporting a teaching&learning function in the web-based e-learning system. To verify the validity of the proposed system, we consulted the students experienced in e-learning system. As a results, The proposed specified reference model can be expected more $11%{\sim}23%$ effectiveness improvement than that of their experienced in the previous system. Also, as the pre-evaluated results using the teaching&learning services supporting degree by the proposed reference model, those measurements are very similar to the services requirement degree of their experienced in e-learning system.

  • Presently, elementary school students take coercive action in case error or fault happens while they are using computers. These action are caused by lack of comprehension about basic computer concepts. In this paper, we propose an instructional method for basic computer concepts based on various instructional method. To estimate the effect of proposed method, a class over 16 phases is performed. We show that a effect of class and necessity of development of instructional learning method for basic computer concepts education in elementary schools on the basis of result that analyze reaction of students after class.

The Educational Effects of Peer Agent System to Improve Problem-Solving Ability (문제해결력 향상을 위한 동료 에이전트 시스템의 교육적 효과)

  • There are several studies in order to learn about programming language. This paper develops a peer agent system based on teaching and learning strategies in order to improve problem-solving ability. Problem-solving ability involves three components - content understanding, domain-dependent problem-solving strategies, and self-regulation. This paper shows the teaching and learning strategies about components of problem-solving for learning to program and the peer agent system uses the teaching and learning strategies. This study intents to analyze the educational effects of the peer agent system. The results show that the system has superior effects on problem-solving ability compared to traditional programming courses or pair programming courses. It means that the peer agent system is the effective educational system in improving student's problem-solving ability.
