The Influential Factors on High School Students' School Dress Code Compliance (고등학생들의 학교 외모규제 준수에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This research aimed at identifying the influential factors on high school students' dress code compliance. Specifically, the relationship between the perceived strength and importance of dress codes and dress code compliance, and the relationship between dress code compliance and creativity, self esteem, and school adaptation were examined. For this purpose, reliability tests, multiple regressions, and t-tests were conducted using the data collected from 866 male and female students from six Co-Ed high schools located in Seoul. The results are as follows. First, the more students perceived the school dress codes to be stronger and more important, they were more likely to comply to the dress codes. Second, compared to the low-compliance group, the high-compliance group had higher self-esteem and creativity. Third, compared to the low-compliance group, the high-compliance group showed better adaptation to their teachers, classes, and school rules. However, the two groups were not significantly different in terms of their adaptation to peer groups.

  • 본 논문은 무선통신 환경에서 다양한 위치정보의 응용서비스인 위치기반서비스의 공통적인 기능을 가지는 지오코더 서비스를 설계하는 것이다. 위치기반서비스는 망이나 GPS 등의 측위기술을 이용하여 휴대 단말 등 사용자의 위치정보를 제공하는 것으로 최근 부가가치가 기대되는 서비스이다. 지오코더 서비스는 주소 등의 요청에 대해 X, Y, Z 등으로 표현되는 지리적 위치정보를 제공하는 서비스와 역으로 지리적 위치정보를 포함하는 요청에 대해 주소 등을 포함한 정규화 된 정보를 제공하는 역지오코더 서비스로 정의할 수 있다. 국내의 많은 웹 기반의 GIS 서비스들이 지형지물 등에 의해 지리적인 위치를 탐색하는 지오코딩 기능이 구현되어 있으나, 지리 정보에 대한 각각 서로 다른 인터페이스들이 사용되고 있어, 확장된 활용성에 한계를 가지고 있다. 특히, 무선통신 환경의 발전에 따른 효율적인 지리적 위치정보의 활용을 통한 다양한 위치기반서비스의 개발 및 활성화를 위하여 국제동향을 고려한 정규화 된 지오코더 서비스의 개발이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 지리적 위치정보를 포함하고 있는 지오코더 서비스를 위하여 기술규격 범위와 요구기능 정의, 서비스를 위한 데이터의 정규화 및 인터페이스를 설계하여, 국내 무선통신 환경에서 다양한 위치기반서비스의 활용성을 높이기 위한 서비스 시스템 방안을 마련하고자 한다. 또한, 주소 정의에 있어서 국내 주소체계를 충분히 분석하여 구축하였다. 이는 본 연구자가 LBS 표준화 포럼을 통하여 작성 중인 '지오코더서비스 인터페이스 기술규격'을 수용한 것이다.적으로 분석하고, 지형정보의 체계적 관리를 위해 가장 필요한 해안습지 지형분류도를 작성하기 위해 가장 기초적인 단계인 해안습지 지형분류체계에 대한 국내외의 연구성과를 비교하여 시안을 작성 표준화를 위한 첫 단계 시도를 소개하였다.분석 결과는 문장, 그림 및 도표, 장 끝의 질문, 학생의 학습 활동 수 등이 $0.4{\sim}1.5$ 사이의 값으로 학생 참여를 적절히 유도하는 발견 지향적 인 것으로 조사되었다. 그러나 장의 요약은 본문 내용을 반복하는 내용으로 구성되었다. 이와 같이 공통과학 과목은 새로운 현대 사회에 부응하는 교과 목표와 체계를 지향하고 있지만 아직도 통합과학으로서의 내용과 체계를 완전히 갖추고 있지 못할 뿐만 아니라 현재 사용되고 있는 7종의 교과서가 교육 목표를 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 교사의 역할이 더욱더 중요하게 되었다.괴리가 작아진다. 이 결과에 따르면 위탁증거금의 징수는 그 제도의 취지에 부합되고 있다. 다만 제도운용상의 이유이거나 혹은 우리나라 주식시장의 투자자들이 비합리적인 투자형태를 보임에 따라 그 정책적 효과는 때로 역기능적인 결과로 초래하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 연구결과를 통하여 최소한 주식시장(株式市場)에서 위탁증거금제도는 그 제도적 의의가 여전히 있다는 사실이 확인되었다. 또한 우리나라 주식시장에서 통상 과열투기 행위가 빈번히 일어나 주식시장을 교란시킴으로써 건전한 투자풍토조성에 저해된다는 저간의 우려가 매우 커왔으나 표본 기간동안에 대하여 실증분석을 한 결과 주식시장 전체적으로 볼 때 주가변

수학적 모폴로지의 경계치 변화에 의한 도시환경 지형지물 추출 및 분리응용

Welfare and Leisure of Children and Youth in Urban and Rural Areas (도시와 농산어촌 아동청소년의 복지와 여가수준 비교연구)

  • Objectives: This study compared the welfare level and leisure activities of children and the youth in urban areas with rural areas, and examined factors affecting their life satisfaction. Methods: The fourth wave of the Youth Panel data collected by the Korea Youth Policy Institute has been utilized. A total of 3,145 sample was drawn, and the average age of the sample was about 17 years old (a sophomore in high-school). T-test and multiple regression has been employed. Results: In almost all welfare related variables including life satisfaction, leisure satisfaction, parent attachment, and relationship with teachers and peers, the rural children and youth showed lower scores than their urban counterparts. The only factor whose score was higher to the rural children and youth was community factor including community attachment and guidance. In terms of leisure (satisfaction) level which was the most influential factor of predicting the variance of life satisfaction, the rural children and youth revealed unfavorable condition, as their accessibility to the facilities was low and there were less facilities in rural areas in the first place. Conclusions: As a way to improve the welfare and cultural level of rural children and youth, this study proposed to make investment to the rural areas by providing them with welfare and leisure infra structure and various welfare and leisure programs. To improve the outdoor leisure activities of the urban children and youth, setting up a sisterhood between urban and rural schools has been suggested.

A Study on Factors Influencing on Adolescents' Multicultural Acceptability : Compared Elementary School Student and Middle School Students (청소년의 다문화 수용성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 초등학생과 중학생의 비교)

  • This study suggests different improvement practices of adolescents' multicultural acceptability to compare the factors influencing multicultural acceptability with elementary and middle school students. The data used in this study come from the Korean Child and Youth Panel Study(KCYPS) of the National Youth Policy Institute(NYPI) comprising 4,092 responses from 5th grade elementary school students and 4th grade(middle school 2nd grade) of elementary school students. The study data were subjected to hierarchical regression analysis to give the following findings. First, Levels of Multicultural Acceptability were significantly different. Second, factors influencing multicultural acceptability for elementary school students and middle school students were different. Common factors were mother's education level, life's satisfaction, peer relationship, teacher relationship, and spirit of community. Factors for elementary school students's multicultural acceptability were subjective academic achievement, community awareness, experiences of cultural activity, and overseas visiting experiences. The factor for middle school students's multicultural acceptability was family/group travel experiences. Our findings highlight the importance of programs and education that are suitable for children's developmental level. Such peer group programs need to be offered for middle school students to achieve spirit of community and educational group program and various extracurricular activities to achieve community awareness and develop a spirit of community for elementary school students.

Analysis of Trends in Science Gifted Education Using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 과학영재교육 연구동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the trends of science gifted education-related research for the last 5 years using LDA topic modeling. To achieve the purpose of the study, 2,404 keywords of 292 domestic academic papers were analyzed using RISS, KISS, and DBpia. The main results were as follows. First, the number of researches in science gifted education has been decreasing since 2019. In the science gifted education research, the top 10 keywords were 'students', 'program', 'elementary school', 'class', 'creativity', 'gifted education', 'awareness', 'teacher', 'education', and 'activity'. Second, as a result of topic modeling analysis, 10 topics were derived. Research topics mainly conducted in science gifted education for the past five years are 'Affective characteristics of science gifted students', 'Characteristics of science gifted students in middle school', 'Development and application of science gifted education programs', 'Education programs of science gifted high school', 'Cognitive characteristics of science gifted students', 'Policy of science gifted education', 'Science gifted students and creativity', 'Research conducting education by science gifted students', 'Academic and career choice of science gifted students', 'Science concept of science gifted Students'. In the past, the proportion of specific topics was relatively high, but the proportion between topics does not differ significantly as 2019 approaches. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the more recent it comes, the more research is being conducted evenly without being biased toward one subject.

  • It is quite useful to represent speeches visually for learners who study foreign languages as well as the hearing impaired who cannot directly hear speeches, and a number of researches have been presented in the literature. They remain, however, at the level of representing the characteristics of speeches using colors or showing the changing shape of lips and mouth using the animation-based representation. As a result of such approaches, those methods cannot tell the users how far their pronunciations are away from the standard ones, and moreover they make it technically difficult to develop such a system in which users can correct their pronunciation in an interactive manner. In order to address these kind of drawbacks, this paper proposes a speech visualization model based on the relative distance between the user's speech and the standard one, furthermore suggests actual implementation directions by applying the proposed model to the visualization of Korean vowels. The method extract three formants F1, F2, and F3 from speech signals and feed them into the Kohonen's SOM to map the results into 2-D screen and represent each speech as a pint on the screen. We have presented a real system implemented using the open source formant analysis software on the speech of a Korean instructor and several foreign students studying Korean language, in which the user interface was built using the Javascript for the screen display.

  • Population aging is an inevitable problem in our society nowadays, and the current aging trend in Asia is prominent and the number of elderly people is huge, among which the World Health Organization predicts that by 2050, 35% of China's population will be over 60 years old, making it the most serious aging country in the world. According to actual reports and surveys, there is a clear digital divide between a large proportion of the elderly and ICT technology, which has had a negative impact on the quality of life and mentality of the elderly living in cities due to the rapid development of technology and the dramatic changes that have occurred in urban life in recent years. The author chose Chinese urban elderly as the main research topic, the research method through the collation of existing literature and information combined with the actual data research, narrative collation of the current situation of ICT use among the Chinese urban elderly and the causes of the difficulties, summarize the ability of the Chinese urban elderly as the representative of the elderly users to master and learn ICT. The study concluded that the needs of the elderly for ICT are multi-layered and there is a gradation in the ability of the elderly users to master various ICT services, so that the elderly can better use and enjoy ICT services and provide teaching and services in a hierarchical and targeted manner can be the next research direction.

Effect of Board Game Design Activity for Environmental Education on High School Students' Environmental Knowledge, Environmental Literacy and Creative Engineering Problem Solving Propensity (환경교육용 보드게임 디자인 활동이 고등학생들의 환경적 지식, 환경 소양과 창의 공학적 문제해결 성향에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a board game design activity for environmental education and to investigate how it affects high school students' environmental knowledge, environmental literacy, and creative engineering problem solving propensity. Twenty-five freshman and sophomore students belonging to the environmental club participated in this study. The board game activity was designed as 10 class hours lessons based on the engineering design process. The main data source of this study was pre-post students' conceptual maps of the environmental topics (global warming or ecosystem destruction) to measure the background knowledge on the topic. In addition, the environmental literacy measurement questionnaire and the creative engineering problem solving propensity questionnaire were collected before and after the activity. The result shows that the number of environment-related words described by the students on the post-concept map increased compared to the pre-concept map. In addition, the environmental literacy score and the creative engineering problem-solving propensity score increased significantly after performing the board game design activity. The results show that environmental lessons using board game design activities can help student develop various competencies in a good way. As above, research that combines board games and secondary education must be activated, and a new educational method and systemic support for in-service teachers who want to apply it to science classroom is required.

Analysis of the Causes for Continuous Employment of Employed Students after Graduation from Characterization High School -Focusing on the Commercial High Schools (특성화고등학교 졸업 후 취업자의 근속 원인 분석 연구 -상업계 고등학교를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the direction of employment guidance for long-term service through the analysis of the cause of employment of employed students who graduated from specialized high school. In particular, the purpose is to present student guidance plans for long-term service by analyzing personal reasons for students graduating from commercial high schools and policy factors for individual, school, company, and government service after employment. To this end, a survey was conducted for graduates of commercial high schools nationwide, and the validity, reliability, and causality of the survey data were analyzed by applying Exploratory Factor Analysis, Cronbach's Alpha, and decision tree analysis techniques. We found that personal goal setting for employment is an important factor for working for more than 1 year, personal relationships at work and personal characteristics are important factors for working for more than 3 years. In addition, we found that the reason for getting a job is that personal reasons and school recommendations are great, special lectures on employment, camps, and 'advice from seniors and teachers' programs are helpful in finding a job, and accounting and computer related subjects are helpful for long-term employment. Accordingly, in specialized high schools, it is required to prepare specific instructional measures for education such as setting personal goals and the formation of human relationships that are the basis of social life, and to actively operate the above subjects and programs to help with employment and longevity.
