  • This study analyzed the perceptions of elementary and secondary school teachers regarding the importance of SW/AI education in fostering students' fundamental knowledge and the necessity of integrating SW/AI into education. A total of 830 elementary and secondary school teachers were selected as study subjects using the judgment sampling method. The analysis of survey data revealed that elementary and secondary teachers exhibited a strong awareness of the importance and necessity of SW/AI education, irrespective of school characteristics, region, educational experience, or prior involvement in SW and AI education. Nevertheless, the primary reasons for not implementing SW/AI education were identified as excessive workload and a lack of pedagogical expertise. An analysis of opinions on the essential conditions for implementing SW/AI education revealed that workload reduction, budget support, teacher training to enhance teacher competency, content distribution, expansion of subject-linked courses, and dedicated instructional time allocation were the major influencing factors. These findings indicate a significant demand for comprehensive instructional support and teacher capacity-building programs.

  • Amidst the onset of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the prominence of artificial intelligence, societal structures are undergoing significant changes. There is a heightened global interest in AI education for nurturing future talents. Consequently, this research aims to develop an AI-integrated Korean language curriculum for first-year high school students, utilizing the ADDIE model for instructional program development. To assess the program's effectiveness, pre-post assessments were conducted on future core competencies (Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, Creativity) and knowledge information processing skills. The curriculum, spanning nine sessions and incorporating four small projects, sought to provide students with a new experience of AI-integrated Korean language education. As a result, students who participated in the program demonstrated improvement in future core competencies across all areas, and positive outcomes were observed in satisfaction levels and qualitative analysis. Through these findings, it is suggested that this program successfully integrates artificial intelligence into high school Korean language education, potentially contributing to the cultivation of future talents among students.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the educational effect by developing and applying a decision tree-based artificial intelligence convergence education program. To achieve the purpose of this study, the study was conducted through a three-step process of preparation, development, and improvement. In addition, it consisted of four stages of the creative problem-solving process: 'Understanding the problem', 'Idea search and development', 'realization' and 'evaluation'. In particular, the artificial intelligence convergence education program developed in this study is an unplugged activity that does not include programming. Therefore, it is very noteworthy that artificial intelligence convergence education was implemented in subjects other than technology and home economics education, and information education, which are part of junior engineering education, and practical arts education in elementary education, which is a subject that learns Artificial Intelligence technology including programming during class time. In other words, it shows that AI technology can be integrated and taught in most subjects, not specific subjects and has great significance in that it can utilize the concepts and principles of artificial intelligence technology when teaching the concept of classification, which is included in the curriculum.

  • In this paper, the effect of artificial intelligence convergence education program that provides STEAM education using machine learning platform on elementary school students' STEAM literacy and learning flow was analyzed. A homogeneous group of 44 elementary school 6th graders was divided into an experimental group and a control group. The control group received 10 lessons of general subject convergence class, and the experimental group received 10 lessons of STEAM-based artificial intelligence convergence education using Machine learning for Kids. To develop the artificial intelligence convergence education program, the goals, achievement standards, and content elements of the 2015 revised curriculum to select subjects and class contents is analyzed. As a result of the STEAM literacy test and the learning flow test, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. In particular, it can be confirmed that the coding environment in which the artificial intelligence function is expanded has a positive effect on learners' learning flow and STEAM literacy. Among the sub-elements of convergence talent literacy, significant differences were found in the areas of personal competence such as convergence and creativity. Among the sub-elements of learning flow, significant differences were found in the areas such as harmony of challenge and ability, clear goals, focus on tasks, and self-purposed experiences. If further expanded research is conducted in the future, it will be a basic research for more effective education for the future.

  • This paper jointly designed and developed a liberal arts curriculum at two local universities for college liberal arts education using generative AI centered on ChatGPT. The developed curriculum takes into account the conceptual components for designing classes for integrated use of university ChatGPT presented in existing research, understands the language model and artificial intelligence that form the basis of ChatGPT, and applies generative AI including ChatGPT to various domains. It was developed with useful content. The developed curriculum introduces the concept and changing aspects of artificial intelligence and the natural language processing language model that is the basis of ChatGPT for students in various majors, and generates ChatGPT, a generative AI and large language model (LLM), and various open sources. The purpose was to implement my own AI service using the model and present an example of mutual collaboration between universities in Joint Education Curriculum Operation.

  • Artificial intelligence technology is influencing across all areas as technology advances and social needs change. Therefore, Korean universities have actively developed and operated classes related to artificial intelligence, and have emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence not only in major education but also in liberal arts education. However, there is a lack of research on the development of educational methods and educational programs because artificial intelligence education in liberal arts is in its early stages. SSI is an education that can apply social and ethical problems related to science to open problems that can creatively and reasonably present solutions. SSI can be applied to make AI education more effective. In this study, an artificial intelligence liberal arts curriculum applied SSI was developed with three purposes: First, it is designed is designed so that students subject to education can access it by considering its characteristics as actors of the intelligent information society. Second, it is designed so that students can experience artificial intelligence programs themselves and deal with science technology and social relevance in depth, focusing on various examples of real life. Third, it is designed and approached so that students can participate and cooperate for the purpose of solving common problems to develop cooperative problem-solving skills.

  • Interest in AI and SW education is growing as digital literacy is emphasized in the revised elementary school curriculum for 2022. There are numerous restrictions on how pupils can enhance their digital literacy because there are only 34 class hours available for information education in elementary schools. Therefore, other subjects and information education must be blended in order to ensure class hours for AI and SW instruction. In this study, we investigated the impact of S-PUMA reading instruction on the literary imagination and computational thinking of elementary school pupils. To conduct this study, two classes of sixth graders in an elementary school were chosen and split into an experimental group and a control group. Over the course of five sessions, only the experimental group received reading instruction using the S-PUMA teaching approach. It was discovered that reading instruction with the S-PUMA teaching methodology enhanced literary imagination and computational thinking. Further study is required to identify whether the improvement in creative imagination, a component of literary imagination, is a result of the S-PUMA teaching approach or a natural result of the subject matter of the lesson.

  • He reality is that the college life culture of college students is gradually changing as we enter the AI era. In addition, in the aftermath of the MZ generation's employment difficulties and unemployment difficulties, freshmen begin to worry about their future from college entrance. Therefore, it is necessary to design a college life that can lead to employment from a careful plan for an efficient life in college. This study attempted to suggest a direction for college freshmen to find their career direction, starting with self-exploration, and helping them settle down in college life. In addition, a program was developed with a focus on understanding others and communicating human relationships toward fostering communities, starting with self-understanding. Weeks 1 to 5 were composed of getting to know each other, weeks 6 to 10 were made up of me, we, and weeks 11 to 15 were made up of our future. First, a program was developed so that you can understand yourself and plan your own career path based on this, present your own vision, and specify your future to draw a blueprint. We expect that the research results will contribute to the maturation of career attitudes of students participating in college life planning classes, smooth communication, reduction of school and department dropout rates, and encouragement of satisfaction and pride in school.
