산에서 자전거를 탄다? 일반 도로에서 자전거를 타는 것조차 부담스러운 이들에게는 정말이지 먼 세상의 이야기처럼 들릴지도 모른다. 하지만 연령이나 성별의 제한 없이 누구든 즐길 수 있으며, 혼탁한 도시를 벗어나 탁 트인 자연환경을 벗 삼아 즐길 수 있는 짜릿한 무공해 스포츠라면? 게다가 어렵게 도달한 정상엣 하산할 때 묘한 쾌감을 느낄 수도 있는 전신운동에다 심폐기능 향상에도 도움이 된다면 어떤가? 구미가 당기지 않는가? 바로 산악자전거 얘기다.

본 연구는 가상 캐릭터인 3D Pooh 와의 감성 교감이 이루어지는 유아용 감성 교육 게임 개발이 목적이다. Web 카메라를 이용하여 사용자의 위치 정보 및 영역을 검출하고 사용자는 화면에 보이는 가상 공간에 손과 마커를 이용하여 행동을 가하게 된다. 사용자의 행동 입력 방식에 따라 Pooh 의 상태를 나타내는 게이지와 행동의 다양한 변화를 제공하며, 이로써 사용자들이 가상 캐릭터인 3D Pooh 와 인터렉션을 할 수 있도록 제공한다. 기존의 감성 교감 연구 방법 분석 결과 뇌파와 체온 등의 생리신호를 이용한 방법과 사용자의 행동패턴을 분석하는 방법 등이 있으며, 현재는 생리신호를 이용하는 방법이 더 많이 활용되고 있다. 생리신호 측정 시 사용자는 신체에 센서를 착용해야 하므로 착용 부담감과 움직임이 자유롭지 못하다는 단점이 있다. 본 프로그램은 기존 연구의 단점인 센서 착용의 부담감을 줄이고 자유롭고 편리한 인터렉션이 가능하도록 개발하였으며, 직관적인 인터페이스를 기반으로 유아들도 쉽고 편리하게 즐길 수 있도록 구현된 감성 교육 게임이 될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 카메라 이외의 다른 하드웨어 장치 사용을 최소화하여 경제성과 사용 편의성을 동시에 고려한 효율적인 유아용 감성 교육 게임으로 활용될 수 있다.

Facial hyperhidrosis has a symptom of excessive sweating on the face with or without underlying disease. It can be surgically treated by video-assisted thoracic surgery(VATS). We encountered three cases of facial hyperhidrosis which we treated by VATS, which was performed by resection of the lower third of stellate ganglion and T2-T3 sympathetic ganglia with chains. Postoperative symptom was improved in all cases. There were no postoperative complications such as Horner's syndrome or postsympathectomy neuralgia.

The reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSDS) consists of sustained burning pain and tenderness, vasomotor instabilitiy, swelling, occasional functional instability, trophic skin change and edema of extremity following trauma, peripheral nerve injury, spinal cord injury, infection, burn and other etiologic factors. The most important thing in RSDS is to start the treatment as soon as the disease was diagnosed. Most patients with RSDS respond dramatically and permanently to sympathetic blocks if treatment is instituted before irreversible trophic changes. The characteristic radiological finding in RSDS is a patchy osteoporosis in the cancellous bone. Periarticular hyperactivity is seen in RSDS by Tc99m bone scan. We have managed 4 cases of RSDS. The methods of management and effects are as follows: 1) In case 1, 28 lumbar sympathetic blocks in both sides were performed. The patient did not complain of pain or tenderness and the limping improved. 2) In case 2, 7 lumbar sympathetic blocks were performed, but we could find only a slight improvement in the symptoms. 3) In case 3, 8 stellate ganglion blocks were carried out. The patient refused the treatment of RSDS because of the lack of rapid improvement. 4) In case 4, total 64 stellate ganglion blocks were carried out; the patient was permanently improved.

Thoracic sympathetic ganglion block(TSGB) with alcohol is a traditional method for treating a variety of disease at pain clinics. But it is a difficult block to perform requiring both skill and experience. Therefore, we performed a thoracic endoscopic cauterization to evaluate the efficacy of this method. A patient suffering sever forearm and hand pain due to radius fracture of the right arm, one and half years earlier, was referred to several different orthopaedic department of various hospitals with continued aggravated symptoms. He was then admitted to our hospital's orthopaedic department. Our diagnosis, confirmed by thermography, revealed reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Patients was therefore referred to the pain clinic where treatment consisted of endoscopic thoracic sympathetic cauterization under general anesthesia. Patient was intubated with Robertashow 37 Fr. double lumen tube left sided. Left lateral and slight head up position was applied to make lesion side up. Incisions were made to penetrate trocas 5 mm diamether on 4 th intercostal space along mid axillary line and midclavicular line. Negative pressure suction on ipsilateral lung and CO2 insufflation under 10 mmHg was applied to reduce lung size. Cauterization on thoracic sympathetic chain at T3 level was done under endoscoic guide. 24 Fr. chest tube was inserted. Patient's symptoms cleared and he was satisfied with the results of this treatment.

We analysed mutation of ${\beta}_2$-adrenergic receptor gene that controls bronchial asthma by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC) according to ion-pair reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (IP-RP-HPLC). We extracted genomic DNA from 50 asthma patients, amplified DNA using PCR, and analysed PCR product by DHPLC. As a result, we obtained that mutation frequency was 15 (30%) among 50 cases. Consequently DHPLC mutation detection was confirmed that the result of direct sequencing was coincide exactly.
