전국 시 도회는 지난 해 개최된 총회를 통해 제9대 시 도회장을 새롭게 구성하고 각 지역에서 설비 건설업계 및 협회 발전을 위해 활발한 활동을 벌이고 있다. 이에 본지는 전국 시 도회장으로부터 사업계획을 듣는 코너를 연재하고 있다. 이번 호에는 이연풍 광주 전남도회 회장으로부터 광주 전남도회의 사업추진 현황과 향후 사업계획을 들었다. 날카로움과 자상함, 겸손과 풍류 등을 두루 갖춘 균형적인 감각으로 광주 전남도회를 이끌고 있는 이연풍 회장은 제8대에 이어 제9대까지 연임 중이다. 이연풍 회장은 인권 문화 경제를 삼각축으로 한 사람존중 생명도시 광주 전남지역의 힘찬 비상을 위해 회원사의 경쟁력 제고와 재도약 발판 마련에 적극 노력하고 있다.

본 연구에서는 광주이씨 시조이신 이당 대감 (?-1369) 음택터의 공학적인 분석을 통하여 정성적 및 정량적인 평가를 시도하였다. 이당 대감은 고려말에 국자감 생원시에 합격되고 조선시대에 들어서 자헌대부 (資憲大夫) 이조판서 (吏曹判書)겸 지의금부사 (知義禁府事)에 증직되었으며, 이당 대감 음택터의 경우 조선시대 8대 명당 중 하나로 알려져 있다. 그리고 조선시대에 정승 5명, 대제학 2명, 청백리 5명, 공신 11명을 배출한 명문집안이다. 따라서 이당 대감 음택터의 혈장을 비롯하여 각 사격을 검토하여 광주이씨 문중의 발복을 음택터의 영향으로 평가내릴 수 있는 공학적인 분석의 정성적 및 정량적인 기준을 제시하고, 과연 조선시대 8대 명당 중 하나에 해당되는지를 검토하고자 한다.

이 자료는 9월 25일 녹색소비자문제연구원(원장 김성희 · 광주시 소재 소비자운동단체)이 개최한 "광주광역시립도서관 민간위탁 관련 시민단체 토론회"에서 발표된 내용을 요약한 것으로, 이날 토론회에는 홍현진(전남대 문헌정보학과) 교수, 조수웅(광주광역시의회)의원, 박춘균(광주광역시무등도서관)사서과장, 이용훈(한국도서관협회) 기획부장 등이 참석, 8월 초 광주광역시가 현재 운영하고 있는 2개도서관과 앞으로 개관할 예정인 1개 도서관의 운영을 민간에 위탁하기로 신문지상에 신청자모집광고를 내면서 (관련기사 지난호 57쪽 참조) 중대한 사안으로 떠오른 「공공도서관의 민간위탁」에 대한 논의가 있었다. ■편집자주

In this study we carried out SHRIMP U-Pb age dating of detrital zircons from age-unknown meta-sedimentary formations distributed around the NNE-SSW trending Gwangju Shear Zone, a branch of Honam Shear Zone, in the southwestern region of the Korean Peninsula. The meta-sedimentary formations from the west (Yeonggwang) and east (Jangseong) areas of the Gwangju Shear Zone have different patterns of zircon age distributions. Zircons of quartzites from the Yeonggwang area yield clusters at Neoarchean (ca. 2,500 Ma), Paleoproterozoic (ca. 1,860 Ma), Neoproterozoic (ca. 960 Ma) and Paleozoic (ca. 380 Ma) ages, but those of the Jangseong area yield clusters at only Neoarchean (ca. 2,500Ma) and Paleoproterozoic (ca. 1,880 Ma) ages. The contrastive patterns in age indicate that the meta-sedimentary formations from the west and east areas correspond to the meta-sedimentary formations of the Okcheon Metamorphic Belt and the sedimentary formations overlying on the Yeongnam Massif, respectively. The results imply that the Gwangju Shear Zone is the tectonic boundary between the Okcheon Metamorphic Belt and the Yeongnam Massif.

한국광산업진흥회 조규종 상근부회장은 "지난 10년동안 광주광산업의 발전이 향후 10년을 내다보는 국가미래 성장동력산업으로 자리매김해 나갈수 있도록 종합적인 광산업육성 로드맵 수립과 광산업 공동브랜드(LUXKO)인증제품을 중심으로 한 광통신 및 LED분야 컨소시엄 구축으로 해외 대규모 프로젝트수주지원을 통해, 광주광산업 2011년도 목표를 달성하는데 최선을 다해 지원해 나갈 계획"이라며 "대내외적으로 도전에 직면해 있는 2011년 광주광산업의 과제를 해결해 나가는데 광산업관련 산 학 연 관의 결집된 동력을 이끌어내는 구심점으로서 한국광산업진흥회가 앞장서 나갈 계획"이라고 밝혔다.

This paper aims to establish the cultural tourism strategy for culture-based city Gwangju. For this purpose, six key words 'topic, viewpoint, strategy, creation, change, project' are presented. The topic part includes the concept and paradigm of culture-based city Gwangju, The viewpoint part includes the cultural politics of tourism. The strategy part presents creative tourism as a vision of tourism, planning for the alternative cultural tourism contents, seven core types of Gwangju cultural tourism, and the five strategies of creative tourism Gwangju. The Creation part and the change part include respectively Gwangju place marketing strategy and the method of making creative cultural tourism subjects. Finally, the core projects of Gwangju creative tourism named 4CT projects are presented.

The development of dual volcanic chains, parallel to the trend of the subduction trench, is observed in the southern part of Korea. Elsewhere on the Earth volcanic arcs dominantly consist of two such chains. In the southern part of Korea, two volcanic chains within a single volcanic arc was developed. Kyongsang basin, where the first volcanic chain located, and Youngdong-Kwangju depression zone where the second volcanic zone located, showed sub-parallel volcanic rock distributed areas. Concentrations of incompatible elements in the southern part of Korea samples show clear across-arc variations, with lavas from the first volcanic chain being most depleted in these elements, all incompatible element concentrations increase towards the second volcanic chain. The above across-arc variation may be caused by the difference in solid phases coexisting with the fluid phases during the dehydration processes. The concentrations of incompatible elements, Zr/Y ratios, and Rb/K ratios indicate that the second volcanic chain (Youngdong-Kwangiu depression zone) was generated by low degrees of partial melting at the deeper depth compared to the conditions of the first volcanic chain (Kyongsang basin) and residual garnet probably attributed to the their partial melting.

광산업이 신성장동력산업으로 각광받고 있다. 특히 광주광산업은 미래 먹거리를 위해 10여 년부터 진행된 지역전략산업진흥사업의 가장 성공적인 모델로 자리를 잡아가고 있다. 광주광산업은 소비도시로 알려진 광주의 경제지도도 바꿔놓고 있다. 자동차와 가전산업과 함께 광주시 3대 주력산업으로 광산업이 당당히 어깨를 견주고 있는 것. 한국광산업진흥회에 따르면 지난해 광주광산업 매출은 2조 5,400억원이었다. 지난해 1조 6천 억원에 비해 1조원 가량 매출이 늘었다. 매출증가는 후발경제요소인 일자리 창출에도 긍정적인 역할을 미치고 있다. 지난해 8,000여 명이 광산업 분야의 일자리를 얻었다. 벤처수준에 불과했던 광산업 기업들의 성장세도 눈부시다. 기술력과 시장 잠재력을 믿고 광주에 둥지를 튼 기업들이 이제는 어엿한 중견기업으로 성장하고 있다. 지난 10여년간 각종 시행착오와 어려움을 겪으면서 이들 기업들은 내공을 단련해왔다. 때마침 전세계적으로 인터넷 열풍이 불었고 기후변화에 따른 녹색성장에 대한 공감대가 퍼져가면서 광통신과 LED 등 광산업 수요가 크게 늘기 시작했다.
