The Design of Broadband Patch Antenna with Microstrip Line-Probe Feeder (마이크로스트립 라인-프로브 급전구조를 갖는 광대역 패치 안테나의 설계)

  • The design of broadband patch antenna with the new feeder structure is proposed in this paper. The antenna operates in the center frequency 5.8 GHz. Proposed the new feeder structure has also broadband characteristic and reduced antenna size. To confirm broadband characteristic, compared with probe feeder antenna. After designing and manufacturing, the antenna bandwidth enhanced by 34.5 % and the patch size reduced by 45 %.

Design of the Wide-Band Printed-Monopole Antenna Using Parasitic Elements (기생 소자를 이용한 광대역 프린트 모노폴 안테나의 설계)

  • In this paper, we have proposed a printed monopole antenna using parasitic elements. The broadband characteristics of the antenna is obtained by using the printed monopole and parasitic elements. To confirm the broadband characteristics of the antenna, of have designed and fabricated the proposed antenna. The return loss and radiation patterns are measured in the frequency range of$0.8{\sim}1.2\;GHz$. The measured results show that the proposed antenna has return loss less than -10 dB in the operating frequency band and the radiation pattern is the dipole-like patterns. The antenna gain varies from 1.7 to 4.6 dBi in the operating frequency band. Thus, the proposed antenna can be used for the broadband repeater antenna $0.806{\sim}0.960\;GHz$(TRS-800, CDMA and GSM-900).

High gain and broad bandwidth antenna design using cylindrical magneto material (원통형 자성체를 이용한 고이득 및 광대역 안테나 설계)

  • This paper describes patch antenna design method of antenna high gain and broad bandwidth using cylindrical magneto material around feeding line. Strong current induction method applied combination to generate magnetic fields around feeding line for antenna high gain characteristic and principle of PIFA designed application for design of antenna broadband. In case of single CMM, gain increased 3.96 dB compare with the reference antenna gain however bandwidth characteristic not increased compare with the reference antenna. In case of dual CMM, gain improved about 10 dB compare with the reference antenna and -10 below bandwidth is 700 MHz(50 MHz~750 MHz) with this paper designed high gain characteristic.

  • In this paper, we propose low-complexity implementation of orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) timing delay detector with multiple receive antennas for broadband wireless access (BWA). First, in order to reduce the computational complexity, the detection structure which rotates the phase of the received ranging symbols is introduced. Second, we propose the detection structure with the N-point/M-interval fast Fourier transform structure and a frequency-domain average-power estimator for complexity reduction without sacrificing the system performance. Finally, simulation results for the proposed structures and complexity comparison of the existing structure with the proposed detectors are presented.

  • In this paper, characteristics of the electromagnetically coupled broadband microstrip antennas are analyzed by the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method, and antenna para- meters are optimized to get maximum bnadwidth. By using short radial tuning stub in microstrip feedline, electromagnetically coupled microstrip antenna shows broadband ($\simeq$13%) characteristics, and the characteristics are varied as a function of radius, radial angle, and position of the radial tuning stub. Operating frequency, return loss, VSWR and input impedance are calculated by Fourier transforming the time domain results. After optimization of the parameters, maximum bandwidth of the radial stub tuning microstrip antenna is about 15% and the ripple char- acteristic of the VSWR is better than the rectangular tuning stub microstrip antenna.

  • We proposed a novel feed structure for a broadband circular slot antenna. The proposed antenna has a circular slot, a radiating element, and a novel microstrip feed structure which is composed of a 50 Ω microstrip feedline and a circular-shaped microstrip patch. This antenna is analyzed and optimized by using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The impedance bandwidth of optimized antenna is 1.94 octave that is much broader than the conventional microstrip slot antennas.

  • 본 논문에서는 초소형 무선 USB 동글 장치를 위한 광대역 접힌(folded) 모노폴 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안된 안테나는 CPW 급전으로부터 삼지창 형상의 선로를 적용하여 광대역 특성을 구현하였다. 최종 설계된 안테나의 크기는 $16{\times}44.8{\times}3.5\;mm^3$이며, low-profile의 무선 USB 동글용 안테나에 적합하다. 제안된 안테나는 $S_{11}$ < -10 dB 기준으로 2.28~10.8 GHz의 공진 주파수 대역을 가지므로 WiBro (2.3~2.4 GHz), Bluetooth (2.4~2.484 GHz), WiMAX (2.5~2.7 GHz, 3.4~3.6 GHz), satellite DMB (2.605~2.655 GHz), 802.11b/g/a WLAN (2.4~2.485 GHz, 5.15~5.825 GHz), UWB(3.1~10.6 GHz)의 무선 대역을 지원 할 수 있다. 측정된 평균 이득의 범위는 -3.41 dBi 에서 -0.84 dBi 이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 S밴드(2-4 GHz)와 C밴드(4-8 GHz)에서 사용가능한 비동심원 복사구조와 저임피던스 급전구조를 갖는 광대역 원형 링슬롯 안테나를 제안하였다. 본 안테나는 유전율 4.3, 두께 1mm의 기판을 대상으로 해석되었다. 재안된 안테나의 계산된 임피던스 대역폭은 122%(S$_{11}$$\leq$-10 dB)이므로 기존의 원형 링슬롯 안테나보다 훨씬 광대역이다. 또한 주요 설계변수들을 변화시켰을 때 변경되는 안테나의 특성을 연구함으로써 최적화설계에 도움이 되도록 하였다.

  • In this paper, the single patch microstrip antenna and gap coupled broadband microstrip patch antenna using FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain method) are analyzed. Mur's 2nd absorbing boundary condition to minimize reflected wave is applied. Return loss, voltage standing wave ratio, and input impedance by the length and width of driving patch, the length and width of parasitic patch, and the distance between driving patch and parasitic patch have been analyzed. Design parameters and radiation patterns of broadband antenna have been also shown.

  • 본 논문에서는 지수형으로 테이퍼 된 슬롯 안테나로 광대역 안테나를 설계하였다. 이 안테나는 VSWR${\leq}2$를 기준으로 $6GHz{\sim}18GHz$까지 3:1의 광대역 특성을 나타낸다. 급전부는 마이크로스트립으로 설계되었고 안테나는 싱글 슬롯으로 설계하였기 때문에 급전부와 안테나 사이의 트랜지션은 marchand balun을 이용하여 해결하였다.
