Detection of Foreign Objects Using Bobbin Probe in Eddy Current Test (이물질에 대한 ECT Bobbin Probe 검출 감도)

  • Residual foreign objects at the secondary side (top of the tubesheet and tube support plates) of a steam generator are likely to cause a leak by causing wear in the tube. The extent of wear is significantly affected by the material, shape, and size of the foreign object, and the corrosion properties of the tube. The presence of foreign objects at the top of the tubesheet and tube support plates has been identified using remote visual inspection methods such as the foreign object search and retrieval and eddy current test (ECT). The detection of the residual foreign object at the secondary side of a steam generator has limitations that depend on the material properties and the condition of contact with the tube. In this study, which is vertical and horizontal from the upper tubesheet, the corresponding bobbin ECT signals were collected and analyzed to measure its ability to detect foreign objects.

  • Marine TEMA heat exchanger is the equipment to transfer the heat energy through both fluids that are enclosed separately by applying conduction and convection phenomena for a large vessels, Especially for heat exchanger working under the high temperature and high pressure, the expansion ratio should be taken into account other than under the low temperature and low pressure. This study was tried to find out the ideal expansion ratio through analyzing the elasto-plastic stress behavior of deformation while tubes are expanded with the finite element methods.

  • This paper was studied on the characteristics of galvanic corrosion and its protection on heat exchanger tube plate in the sea water. In this paper, behavior of pitting corrosion of Ni-al bronze connected with Ti tube was measured af flow velocity of 0 m/s and 2.4 m/s. To protect galvanic corrosion, the protection characteristics of Ni-Al bronze connected with Ti tube by Zn-base alloys galvanic anode and hexagonal nylon insert was investigated. Main results obtained asre al follows: 1) The galvanic corrosion of Ni-Al bronze connected with Ti-tube is more active than single Ni-al bronze. 2) As the circuit resistance increase under the cathodic protection employing Zn-base alloys galvanic anode, Ni-al bronze connected with Ti tube is cathodically unpolarized. 3) The corrosion of Ni-Al bronze connected with Ti tube by nylon insert controls approximately 73% than not nylon insert.

  • There has been extensive experience associated with the operation of SGs wherein it was believed, based on NDE, that throughwall tube indications were present within the tubesheet. The installation of the SG tubes usually involves the development of a short interference fit, referred to as the tack expansion, at the bottom of the tubesheet. The tack expansion was usually effected by a hard rolling process and thereafter, in most instance, by the expansion of a urethane plug inserted into the tube end and compressed in the axial direction. The rolling process by its very nature is considered to be intensive with regard to metalworking at the inside surface of the tube and would be expected to lead to higher residual surface stresses. Alternate repair criteria(ARC) in the tack expansion area have been developed and applied to nuclear power plants in USA, however domestic nuclear power plants have not applied ARC for tubes in tubeheet area yet. In consideration of the degradation characteristics of tubes in the Steam Generator tubesheet, this paper suggests ARC application for tubes in the steam generator tubesheet of the domestic nuclear power plants in order to assure life time of the steam generator as well as nuclear power plants.

Analysis of Chemical Cleaning for the Top-of-Tubesheet of NPP's Steam Generator (원전 증기발생기 관판 상단 화학세정 결과 분석)

  • OPR-1000 CE Steam Generator, of which tube material is composed of Alloy-600 HTMA in nuclear power plant, secondary side is generated ODSCC(Outside Diameter Stress Corrosion Cracking) due to the accumulated sludge. ODSCC is centered around the tube sheet and is being affected depending on the height of the sludge. Chemical cleaning was carried out for a top-of-the-tube sheet(TTS) of Steam Generator in order to decrease corrosive condition of the secondary side of Steam Generator tubes and suppress the occurrence of stress corrosion cracking. The amount of sludge removal was 259.2kg. The height of the accumulated sludge was reduced from 0.71 to 0.34 inches. Corrosion rate as the maximum 2.34 mils was satisfied to within EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) recommendation(10 mils).

교서관의 서적인쇄에 대한 소고 - 정조조를 중심으로

  • 우리나라의 인쇄문화를 꽃피웠던 조선조에 있어서 교서관은 전기 및 후기 즉 전대를 통하여 서적의 인출을 관장하던 기관으로 조선조 문화창달의 산실이었다고 볼 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 이어서 인출된 서적에 관한 연구는 즉 조선조의 관판에 대한 분석의 일환으로서 이를 통해 당시의 시대 사상 및 문화의 특징을 알수 있는 바, 본 연구에서는 우선 교서관 자체의 변천 과정 및 그 기능과 함께 조선왕조 후기에 있어서 가장 문운이 진작되었던 정조조을 중심으로 당시 교서관을 통해 간행되었던 서적들의 성격을 규명해 보고자 한다.

고리 1호기 증기발생기 전열관의 2차측 응력부식균열 Part I: 손상원인 분석

  • 1994년 11월에 나타난 고리 1호기 증기발생기의 전열관 누설에 대한 원인을 조사하기 위하여 인출 전열관의 파손 분석과 슬러지 분석 및 pH 분석 등을 수행하였다. 손상원인은 국부적인 염기도 상승과 부식전위 상승에 따른 2차측 응력부식균열(ODSCC)로 밝혀졌다. 전열관 표면과 접한 관판 상부의 퇴적슬러지 끝단에 형성된 틈새에서 나타나는 비등현상으로 $Na^{+}$ 등의 양이온이 농축하게 되며, Cl$^{-}$ 등의 음이온 증발로 인하여 국부적으로 염기도의 상승현상이 야기되었다. 또한 재 가동시 전열관 표면에 침착된 잔류 구리와 용존산소의 결합으로 부식전위가 상승되었다. 이와 같은 ODSCC 발생환경은 1990년이래 지속적으로 형성된 것으로 판단된다.

몰비지수에 의한 증기발생기 틈새수화학 특성평가

  • 증기발생기에서 부식에 의한 전열관 손상은 전열관과 관판사이의 틈새에서 대부분 발생되고 이 틈새에서의 수질환경에 좌우된다. 틈새에서는 과열도가 높아 미량의 불순물이 농축되면서 틈새수화학 (crevice chemistry)은 증기발생기 내부수 수화학과는 달라진다. 전열관 손상을 억제하기 위해서는 틈새수질을 적절히 제어하여야 하는데 이는 틈새수화학을 정확히 분석평가할 수 있는 기술을 기반으로 하여야 한다. .기존의 틈새수질을 계산하는 방법으로는 증기발생기 내부수에 비해 틈새에서 화학종들이 얼마나 농축되는지를 가정하는 농축도 (concentration factor) 방법이 있으나 가정에 의한 불확실성으로 인해 틈새수질을 정확히 해석할 수 없었다. 그러나 원전 증기발생기의 잠복불순물 방출시험 자료로부터 틈새수질을 보다 정확히 평가할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 몰비지수(molar ratio index) 방법이 최근 EPRI에서 제시되었고 EPRI 산하의 많은 발전소에서 적용중이다. 본 연구에서는 PWR 원전 증기발생기의 틈새수화학을 평가할 수 있는 기술을 개발하기 위해 잠복불순물 방출시험 자료로부터 틈새에서의 몰비지수를 계산할 수 있는 CRAP (CRevice-chemistry Analysis Program) 전산프로그램을 작성하였다 CRAP를 국내원전에 적용하여 증기발생기 및 그 틈새에서의 수화학을 평가하였다.
