  • In this paper we propose MA-CBRP, mesh adaptive algorithm for wireless mesh networks. MA-CBRP is a hybrid algorithm based on ad-hoc CBRP protocol. In MA-CBRP, the mesh router periodically sends the ANN message as like Hello-message in CBRP. ANN message allows to all clients periodically store a route towards the mesh-router and renewal information in their routing cache. While CBRP periodically reply Hello-message, MA-CBRP does not reply to achieve less overhead. After receiving ANN message, mesh client send JOIN message to mesh router when the route towards mesh router changed. at the same time Register the entry to mesh router, it can achieve to reduce overhead of control the route and shorten the time to find route. consequently, MA-CBRP shows 7% reduced overhead and shortened time to find route than CBRP with regardless of clients number.

  • Network Mobility Basic Support protocol enables mobile network to change their point of attachment to the Internet, but causes some problems such as suboptimal muting and multiple encapsulations. The proposed scheme, combining Prefix Delegation protocol with HMIPv6 concept can provide more effective route optimization and reduce the amount of packet losses and the burden of location registration for handoff. It also uses hierarchical mobile network prefix (HMNP) assignment and provides tree-based routing mechanism to allocate the location address of mobile network nodes (MNNs) and support micro-mobility. In this scheme, Mobility Management Router (MMR) not only maintains the binding informations for all MNNs in nested mobile networks, but also supports binding procedures to reduce the volume of handoff signals oyer the mobile network. The performance is evaluated using NS-2.

  • Address Auto-configuration capability is one of important advantages of IPv6 protocol This function enables the IPv6 hosts to configure IPv6 networks automatically, while IPv6 routers still have to be configured manually. To solve this problem, we propose RACP(Router Auto-Configuration Protocol), a new address auto-configuration protocol which configures all routers of a small network consisting of several routers and sub-networks automatically. The RACP protocol can automatically create and deliver IPv6 prefixes and routing informations of all routers on the network by using the network's prefix assigned by ISP. The proposed RACP can be used to set up network automatically for a small IPv6 site such as a small office network, a home network without the assistance of network administrator.

  • The Election protocol can be used as a building block in many practical problems such as group communication, atomic commit and replicated data management where a protocol coordinator might be useful. The problem has been widely studied in the research community since one reason for this wide interest is that many distributed protocols need an election protocol. However, despite its usefulness, to our knowledge there is no work that has been devoted to this problem in a mobile computing environment. Mobile systems are more prone to failures than conventional distributed system. Solving election in such an environment requires from a set of mobile hosts to choose a mobile host or a fixed host based on the their priority despite failures of both mobile computing and/or fixed hosts. In this paper, we describe a solution to the election problem from mobile computing systems. This solution is based on the Garcia Molina\\`s Bully algorithm.

  • Depending on the smart device user growth and development of communication technology, the area about working environment was extended without constraints of time and places. It is introducing to work using user's devices and this environment is called 'BYOD(Bring Your On Device)'. But it is vulnerable to security threat that happened in existing wireless environment and its security threat issue which is caused by inside information leak by an inside job and lost or stolen terminal which is caused by careless user is getting heated. So we studied about access control protocol by user rights under the BYOD situation make a session key based on the user information. We make a session key based on the user information and user device information, after that we design an access control protocol. The protocol we suggest can protect from attack under the BYOD situation and wireless communication situation and also safety and security requirement from inside information leak because it controls user rights.

  • In this paper, the structural design of optical Internet is analyzed and by using UNI (User Network Interface) signaling protocol an optical transmission experiment was performed. The hierarchical structure of the basic optical Internet consists of the backbone network, the service network and the access network. The necessary functions for each layer were described as follows: Control structure of the optical transport layer, network operation and management structure, internetworking technology of sub networks, routing and signaling technology. By using UNI signaling protocol from OIF (Optical Internetworking Forum), the optical transmission in the proposed structure of the optical Internet network was experimented. By the traffic generation of LSP (Label Switched Path) data packets along the route-configuration was delivered to UNI. Finally, by showing the value of TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) packets the optical transmission was completely and successfully demonstrated.

  • In this paper, we design the r-Sensor protocol for reliable data transmission in the Intelligent Home Service based on the wireless sensor network environment. The r-Sensor protocol improve the reliability of data transmission and node fairness using simple routing algorithm, congestion control, and loss recovery method that minimize the load of relay node. Reposed routing algorithm find out upstream and downstream nodes using the Network Management packet. Meanwhile, loss recovery algorithm uses the Aggregated-Nack. To apply supposed algorithm, the IHS-AMR(Intelligent Home Service - Automatic Meter Reader) and sensor node are designed and implemented in hardware. The IHS-AMR provides remote metering service and also offers home safety service by internetworking with sensor network, mobile phone network and internet.

  • Multicast in mobile host has the problem of hast mobility, multicast decision, triangle routing, tunnel convergence, implosion of retransmission, and bandwidth waste. In particular, the bandwidth waste in radio is a definite factor that decreases transmission rate. To solve the problems, this paper proposes a new multicast transmission protocol called FIM(Forward Error Correction Integrated Multicast), which supports reliable packet recovery mechanism by integrating If Mobility Support for the host mobility, IGMP(Interned Group Management Protocol) for the group management, and DVMRP(Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol) for the multicast routing, and it also uses FEC and the local recovery method based on receiver. The performance measurement is performed by dividing the losses into the homogeneous independent loss, the heterogeneous independent loss, and the shared source link loss model.. The result shows that the performances improves in proportion to the size of local areal group when the size of transmission group exceeds designated size. This indicates FIM is effective in the environment where there are much of data and many receivers in the mobile host.

  • Recently, study on RFID Tag Searching technique which is used to find a specific tag in particular tag group were developed continuously. RFID tag searching technique can be applicate in various fields such as product management, finding children, and electronic anklet. To implement a RFID tag search system, RFID tag searching protocol should be considered various security threats such as reader and tag tracking, privacy, etc. For implementing a safe RFID tag lookup system, it is important to consider the potential security threats such as the tag tracking problem, and the privacy of the owner of the tag reader problem. There exists an RFID tag lookup system that satisfies a few security requirements, but the privacy of the owner of the tag reader problem has still been left unsolved, and even if it were solved, it requires a considerable amount of cryptographic operations to be performed which results in a decrease in performance. This paper proposes a system that does not degrade the performance while solving the privacy of the owner of the tag reader problem.

  • Recent research on energy harvesting wireless sensor networks focuses on the development of techniques to solve the limited energy resource problem and to extend the whole network life efficiently. Energy harvesting technology can increase the lifetime of a network, but data transmission becomes unavailable when it harvests energy from radio frequency, resulting longer network delay with respect to the increased time in energy harvesting. Therefore, building energy harvesting wireless sensor network should consider the possible network delay as well as the network lifetime problem. In this paper, we propose a new MAC protocol that minimizes end-to-end network delay by adjusting the data transmission time for a packet based on estimating the energy for data transmission along with the amount of traffic flowing into the network and harvested energy. For this goal, it engineers an energy management mechanism that adjusts the sleep time of the network by measuring energy harvesting time. In addition, with simulation results it shows that the proposed MAC protocol improves the performance in terms of energy consumption and end-to-end delay, compared to the existing MAC protocols.
