A Novel Distributed Secret Key Extraction Technique for Wireless Network (무선 네트워크를 위한 분산형 비밀 키 추출 방식)

  • In this paper, we present a secret key distribution protocol without resorting to a key management infrastructure targeting at providing a low-complexity distributed solution to wireless network. The proposed scheme extracts a secret key from the random fluctuation of wireless channels. By exploiting time division duplexing transmission, two legitimate users, Alice and Bob can have highly correlated channel gains due to channel reciprocity, and a pair of random bit sequences can be generated by quantizing the channel gains. We propose a novel adaptive quantization scheme that adjusts quantization thresholds according to channel variations and reduces the mismatch probability between generated bit sequences by Alice and Bob. BCH codes, as a low-complexity and pratical approach, are also employed to correct the mismatches between the pair of bit sequences and produce a secret key shared by Alice and Bob. To maximize the secret key extraction rate, the parameters, quantization levels and code rates of BCH codes are jointly optimized.

  • In order to manage a large number of devices connected to the Internet of Things (IoT), the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) proposed the IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks (RPL). The route of the RPL network is generated through the use of an Objective Function (OF) that is suitable for the service that is required for the IoT network. Since the route of the RPL network is conventionally simply chosen only by considering the link quality between the nodes, it is sensible to seek an OF that can also provide better Quality of Service (QoS). In previous studies, the end-to-end delay might possibly be sub-optimal because they only deal with problems related to the reduction of energy consumption and not to the link quality on the path to the sink node. In this study, we propose a scheme that reduces the end-to-end delay but also gives full consideration to both the quality on the entire route to the destination and to the expected lifetime of nodes with bottlenecks from heaped traffic. Weighting factors for the proposed scheme are chosen by experiments and the proposed scheme can reduce the end-to-end delay and the energy consumption of previous studies by 20.8% and 10.5%, respectively.

  • Increase in the wireless mobile network users brings the issue of mobility management into the Virtual Private Network (VPN) services. We propose a provider edge (PE)-based provider provisioned mobile VPN mechanism, which enables efficient communication between a mobile VPN user and one or more correspondents located in different VPN sites. The proposed mechanism not only reduces the IPSec tunnel overhead at the mobile user node to the minimum, but also enables the traffic to be delivered through optimized paths among the (mobile) VPN users without incurring significant extra IPSec tunnel overhead regardless of the user's locations. The proposed architecture and protocols are based on the BGP/MPLS VPN technology that is defined in RFC24547. A service provider platform entity named PPVPN Network Server (PNS) is defined in order to extend the BGP/MPLS VPN service to the mobile users. Compared to the user- and CE-based mobile VPN mechanisms, the proposed mechanism requires less overhead with respect to the IPSec tunnel management. The simulation results also show that it outperforms the existing mobile VPN mechanisms with respect to the handoff latency and/or the end-to-end packet delay.

3-Dimensional Dosimetry of Small Field Photon Beam (광자선의 소조사면에서의 3차원적 선량 측정)

  • A polymer gel dosimeter was fabricated. A 3-dimensional dosimetry experiment was performed in the small field of the photon of the cyberknife. The dosimeter was installed in a head and neck phantom. It was manufactured from the acrylic and it was used in dosimetry. By using the head and neck CT protocol of the CyberKnife system, CT images of the head and neck phantom were obtained and delivered to the treatment planning system. The irradiation to the dosimeter in the treatment planning was performed, and then, the image was obtained by using 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) after 24 hours. The dose distribution of the phantom was analyzed by using MATLAB. The results of this measurement were compared to the results of calculation in the treatment planning. In the isodose curve on the axial direction, the dose distribution coincided with the high dose area, 0.76mm difference on 80%, rather than the low dose area, 1.29 mm difference on 40%. In this research, the fact that the polymer gel dosimeter and MRI can be applied for analyzing a small field in a 3 dimensional dosimetry was confirmed. Moreover, the feasibility of using these for the therapeutic radiation quality control was also confirmed.

Design and Implementation of u-Healthcare SensorGrid Gateway for connecting Sensor Network and Grid Network (센서 네트워크와 그리드 네트워크와의 연동을 위한 u-Healthcare 센서그리드 게이트웨이 설계 및 구현)

  • Researchers nowadays are trying to implement u-Healthcare (ubiquitous Healthcare) systems for real-time monitoring and analysis of patients' status through a low-cost and low-power wireless sensor network. u-Healthcare system has an aim to provide reliable and fast medical services for patients regardless of time and space by transmitting to doctors a large quantity of vital signs collected from sensor networks. Existing u-Healthcare systems can merely monitor patients' health status. However, it is not easy to derive physiologically meaningful results by analyzing rapidly vital signs through the existing u-Healthcare systems. We introduce a Grid computing technology for deriving the results by analyzing rapidly the vital signs collected from the sensor network. Since both sensor network and Grid computing use different protocols, a gateway is needed. In addition, we also need to construct a gateway which includes the functions such as an efficient management and control of the sensor network, real-time monitoring of the vital signs and communication services related to the Grid network for providing u-Healthcare services effectively. In this paper, to build an advanced u-Healthcare system by using these two technologies most efficiently, we design and present the results to implement a SensorGrid gateway which connects transparently the sensor network and the grid network.

Also the active packets should be transmitted effectively to minimize the transmission delay and securely from threatens. In this thesis, the discovery scheme of active nodes is adapted for active nodes in IP networks to compose and manage the topology information. The scheme for the efficient, reliable and secure transmission of active packets is also proposed. The sequence number is assigned to every active packet. If a receiver detects the loss of active packet checking the sequence number, the receiver requests the retransmission of the lost packet to the previous active node. kiter receiving an active packet and adapting security and reliability schemes, intermediate active nodes not only copy and send the Packet Instantly but also apply some suity mechanisms to it. And the active packet transmission engine is proposed to provide these transmission schemes The simulation of the adapted active node discovery scheme and the proposed active packet transmission engine is performed. The simulation results show that the adapted active node discovery scheme is efficient and the proposed active engine has the low latency and the high performance.

Design and Implementation of DNS Name Autoconfiguration for Internet of Things Devices (사물인터넷 디바이스를 위한 DNS 네임 자동설정의 설계 및 구현)

  • As one of the most spotlighted research areas, these days, the Internet of Things (IoT) aims to provide users with various services through many devices. Since there exist so many devices in IoT environments, it is inefficient to manually configure the domain name system (DNS) names of such devices. Thus, for IPv6-based IoT environments, this paper proposes a scheme called the DNS Name Autoconfiguration (DNSNA) that autoconfigures an IoT device's DNS name and manages it. In the procedure for generating and registering an IoT device's DNS name, the standard protocols of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) are used. Since the proposed scheme resolves an IoT device's DNS name into an IPv6 address in unicast through a DNS server, it generates less traffic than multicast-based mDNS (Multicast DNS) which is a legacy DNS application for the DNS name service in the smart home. Thus, the proposed scheme is more appropriate in multi-hop IoT networks than mDNS. This paper explains the design of the proposed scheme and its service scenarios, such as smart home and smart road. It also explains the implementation and testing of the proposed scheme in the smart grid.

Variation of Dose due to the Wound Electrode of Ionization Chamber (굴곡이 있는 전리함 집전극에 기인한 선량 변화)

  • Nowadays the risk of radiation is getting more serious, so we must know the exact dose that was irradiated, Because very high radiation dose is used in radiation therapy field. We used the ionization chamber which measure the radiation dose in this study. We tried to know the incorrect result from the distortion of geometric structure of ionization chamber and we studied how to find the distortion of geometric structure of ionization chamber. We used a radio fluoroscopy to find the wound degree of electrode of ionization chamber and a reconstructed 3D CT image to analyze the wound degree of electrode quantitatively. we measured degree of distortion by comparing with absorbed dose of normal electrode and wound electrode. The comparative result is not absolute dosimetry at specific point but relative dosimetry between thats. We measured 4 MV, 10MV photon with same absorbed dose and dose rate. The degree of distortion of wound electrode was totally $5.5{\sim}7.2%$, and there was no difference between two energies. The variation induced from radiation dose to be irradiated and dose rate, and the degree of distortion from wound direction also was almost similar value. We could find that the geometric structure of ionization chamber that can influence a basic measurement of radiation dose can be changed by old usage and inattention of management in this study, especially winding of electrode can be happened, in radiation therapy field, It is very important to keep precise radiation dose quantitatively.

  • 선진 전력시장의 경우, 전력산업의 환경변화에 따라 소비자의 역할이 증대되고 있으며 이와 더불어 IT 기반의 다양한 소비자 중심의 전력부가서비스의 개발이 시도되고 있거나 일부 제공되고 있다. 이러한 서비스의 발전은 시간이 흐르면서 단방향이 아닌 양방향 통신 기반의 소비자 중심 서비스에 대한 연구로 확대되고 있다. 특히, 미국 EPRI의 IntelliGrid 컨소시엄에서 제시한 수용가 포탈 시스템은 소비자 영역내의 장비와 에너지 서비스 기관 간의 양방향 통신을 전제함으로써 이루어지는 통합적인 개념의 서비스 기반으로써, 공급자를 포함한 ESP(Energy Service Provider)와 소비자는 수용가 포탈을 기반으로 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 수행하고 그 결과를 이용한 부가적 이익을 누릴 수 있게 된다. 이에 비해 국내의 전력부가서비스 제공 수준은 이제 겨우 시작 단계에 불과하지만, 서비스에 대한 인식 정도와 IT기술의 발전 속도를 생각해 본다면 머지않아 국내 전력산업에서도 현재의 서비스 제공 수준을 한 단계 넘어선 양방향 통신 기반의 수준 높은 전력부가서비스를 요구하게 될 것이다. 따라서, 국내 환경에 적합한 수용가 포탈 시스템 기반의 전력부가서비스 창출은 수용가에게는 비용 절감이 가능한 합리적인 소비를 제시하고, ESP(Energy Service Provider)에게는 부하·수요관리 및 투자비를 절감할 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 전력부가서비스 기반인 수용가 포탈시스템을 분석하고, 현행 전력부가서비스의 현황과 동향 분석, 적용가능 기술 분석, 타 산업 벤치마킹을 통해 국내환경에 적합한 수용가 포탈 시스템 기반의 전력부가서비스 선정 및 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다.원 사용이 가능하도록 설계하였다.서버로 분산처리하게 함으로써 성능에 대한 신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 Load Balancing System을 제안한다.할 때 가장 효과적인 라우팅 프로토콜이라고 할 수 있다.iRNA 상의 의존관계를 분석할 수 있었다.수안보 등 지역에서 나타난다 이러한 이상대 주변에는 대개 온천이 발달되어 있었거나 새로 개발되어 있는 곳이다. 온천에 이용하고 있는 시추공의 자료는 배제하였으나 온천이응으로 직접적으로 영향을 받지 않은 시추공의 자료는 사용하였다 이러한 온천 주변 지역이라 하더라도 실제는 온천의 pumping 으로 인한 대류현상으로 주변 일대의 온도를 올려놓았기 때문에 비교적 높은 지열류량 값을 보인다. 한편 한반도 남동부 일대는 이번 추가된 자료에 의해 새로운 지열류량 분포 변화가 나타났다 강원 북부 오색온천지역 부근에서 높은 지열류량 분포를 보이며 또한 우리나라 대단층 중의 하나인 양산단층과 같은 방향으로 발달한 밀양단층, 모량단층, 동래단층 등 주변부로 NNE-SSW 방향의 지열류량 이상대가 발달한다. 이것으로 볼 때 지열류량은 지질구조와 무관하지 않음을 파악할 수 있다. 특히 이러한 단층대 주변은 지열수의 순환이 깊은 심도까지 가능하므로 이러한 대류현상으로 지표부근까지 높은 지온 전달이 되어 나타나는 것으로 판단된다.의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{99m}Tc$-transierrin이 감염 병소의 영상진단

Acupuncture, an Adjunct Therapy for Asthma: a Pilot Study Protocol of Randomized Controlled Trial (본 임상시험을 대비한 천식 침치료 무작위 대조군 예비 임상시험 프로토콜)

  • 배경 : 최근까지 이루어진 천식의 침치료 무작위 대조군 연구들에 의한 결과는 뚜렷한 효과를 보여주지 못하고 있다. 이러한 요인의 하나로 적절한 피험자 수를 정하기 위한 예비 임상시험의 부재가 거론되고 있다. 따라서 천식에 대한 침치료의 본 임상시험에 앞서 이의 실행 가능성 및 규모를 예측하는 예비임상시험이 필요한 상황이다. 목적 : 예비임상시험을 통해 서양의학적 치료를 받고 있는 천식환자들에 대한 침치료의 부가적 효과를 검증하기 위한 본 임상시험의 실현 가능성을 예측하기 위함. 방법 : 본 시험은 무작위 단일 맹검 대조군 평행 설계 예비 임상시험이다. 1차 평가변수는 최대 호기량 검사기로 집에서 아침, 저녁으로 매일 측정한 수치로 구해진 최대 호기 유속 일중 변동률의 1주간 평균치 변화이며 2차 평가변수는 의료기관에서 시행하는 폐기능 검사, 기준시점 호흡곤란 지수, 호흡곤란 변화에 대한 지수, 천식환자들의 삶의 질 평가를 위한 설문 등이다. 피험자 수는 총 45명으로 선정 및 제외기준을 통해서 참여하게 되며 1주간의 최대 호기 유속 기저치 평가 기간을 거친 후 진짜침 처치 군, 가짜침 처치 군, 대기군 세 군에 각각 무작위로 15명씩 할당된다. 모든 피험자에게 기존의 천식관련 약물의 사용을 허용하며, 진짜침 처치군 및 가짜침 처치군은 주 3회 4주간 해당 처치를 받고 2주 후에 각 평가 항목에 대하여 추적, 관찰하게 된다. 대기군은 기존의 천식관리를 유지하면서 2주마다 방문하여 총 6주간 평가를 받고 진짜침 처치를 4주간 받게 된다. 고찰 : 본 연구는 국내에서 최초로 이루어지는 천식에 대한 침 무작위 대조군 예비 임상시험으로 향후 적절한 피험자 수와 실행가능성을 예측할 수 있으리라 기대된다.
