본 연구에서는 우리나라 266개 상장기업을 대상으로 기업다각화의 동기를 밝히고, 대리권문제와 기업다각화가 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 기업다각화수준의 결정에 있어 대리권문제의 영향을 분석한 실증결과에 의하면, 첫째, 내부 지분율이 낮을수록 다각화가 많이 이루어지고, 내부지분율이 높을수록 다각화수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타나, 우리나라 기업의 다각화 동기를 대리권문제 관점에서 찾을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 외부대주주지분율과 다각화수준간에는 유의적인 관계를 발견하지 못하여, 외부대주주들이 경영자를 감시 통제함으로써 대리권문제를 축소시키고, 기업의 다각화를 억제할 것이라는 가설은 기각되는 것으로 나타났다. 다각화가 기업가치에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석결과에서는, 첫째, 다각화가 기업가치의 감소를 유발시켜 다각화수준이 높을수록 기업가치가 낮을 것이라는 가설은 기각되는 것으로 나타났다. 오히려 우리나라 기업에 없어 다각화는 기업가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 관련다각화 기업과 비관련다각화 기업의 가치를 비교해본 결과 비관련다각화 기업의 가치가 관련다각화 기업의 가치보다 높은 것으로 나타났다.

This study purposes to analyze how the level of diversification affects cost stickiness behavior. Specifically, we document that cost stickiness behavior is bigger in case of firm with a high level of related diversification. The purpose mentioned above are empirically tested using 1,508 firm-year data listed on Korea Stock Exchange from 2000 to 2009 and regression analysis methods were used for the analysis of the research hypotheses. The following are the results of this study : First, the increase in SG&A(selling, general and administrative costs) as sales increases is greater than the decrease in SG&A in respect to the equivalent decrease in sales. Second, cost stickiness behavior is bigger in case of firm with a high level of diversification. Also, cost stickiness behavior is bigger as the level of related diversification increase. These results imply that the level of diversification effects on the cost stickiness behavior.

여성해사인의 직업 관련 인식 조사 및 다각화를 위해 M해양대학교 해사대학에 재학 중인 여학생의 승선 및 진로에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문 결과를 분석하여 여성해사인의 진로 및 취업에 대한 인식을 파악하고 이를 토대로 학부 교육과정, 학교 취업 프로그램, 학교 생활 규정 분야에서 진로 다각화를 위한 방안 및 시사점을 제언하였다.

본 연구는 산업조직이론과 자원기반관점을 통합하여 사업 다각화에 대한 산업환경요인과 기술역량의 결정요인들로 구성한 통합모형을 설계하고, 제안한 모형을 스마트공장 ICT융합기술(애플리케이션 및 플랫폼 분야) 특허 출원기업 272개사의 6개년(2010년~2015년) 특허 및 재무데이터를 이용하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 고정효과 패널모형을 분석한 결과, 기업의 사업다각화 의사결정에 영향을 미치는 요인들 가운데 기술경쟁력은 사업다각화 수준을 높이는 긍정적 효과가 검증되었다. 추가적으로 2단계 최소자승 고정모형을 분석한 결과, 출원특허수 보다 특허의 기술융합수준이 기술경쟁력을 증대시키는 유의미한 긍정적 효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 본 연구 결과에 근거하여 기업의 ICT융합기술자원 및 역량을 바탕으로 한 사업 다각화 전략기획방향과 정부 R&D 정책과 관련하여 융합기술자원의 사업화 지원방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

불과 몇 년전에 다가왔던 데이터 웨어하우스의 개념이 이젠 정보산업의 핵심으로 부상하고 있으며 IT업계 전체를 변화시킬 태세를 취하고 있다. 기존의 DBMS업체와 데이터 웨어하우스 업체, 그리고 신생 소프트웨어 업체들이 데이터 웨어하우스 시장에 뛰어 들고 있으며 고객관리시스템의 핵심인 CTI관련 업체들도 데이터 웨어하우스 업체와의 전략적 제휴를 통해 사업을 확장시키고 있다. 또한 데이터 웨어하우스가 속속 구축되면서 DW관리를 위한 도구 시장도 대두되고 있으며, 인터넷 쇼핑몰 업체는 매출을 높이기 위해 전자상거래와 데이터 웨어하우스를 연동시키고 있다. 다각화되는 데이터 웨어하우스의 시장 동향과 관련업계 전략을 살펴봤다.

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of unrelated diversification on earnings management, and then to analyze the moderating effect of Audit Committee on the relationship. The sample of this paper consists of 206 firms and 1,924 firm-year data listed on Korea Exchange from 2000 to 2009. The results are as follows. First, unrelated diversification is positively associated with earnings management. Second, there are the moderating effects of Audit Committee establishment and independence on the relevance between Unrelated-diversification and earnings management. These findings imply that it is important to strengthen the effectiveness of Audit Committee in unrelated diversification firm.

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between the degree of business diversification of a construction company and two of the indicators that represent financial stability, namely, a current ratio and a debt ratio, in order to draw policy implications. The current ratio and the debt ratio were used as variables that represent financial stability of a construction company. Berry-Herfindahl Index was used to measure the degree of business portfolio diversification of a construction company. For the analysis, quarterly time series data were retrieved from the financial information disclosure system of Korea's Financial Supervisory Service for the period between the first quarter of 2001 and the third quarter of 2013. The analysis results showed that a higher current ratio and a debt ratio led to a greater extent of business diversification. A higher level of business diversification led to a higher current ratio and a lower debt ratio. It was also shown that the impact of business diversification on the current ratio and the debt ratio outweighed the impact of changes in the current ratio and the debt ratio on business diversification. Meanwhile, an increase in the level of business diversification showed a quite positive effect as it raised the current ratio and lowered the debt ratio of a construction company. These findings suggest that diversification of business portfolio is essential for construction companies to strengthen their financial stability.

자판기 관련사업의 경기가 말이 아니다. 대외적인 경기침체의 악재와 더불어 "정말 힘드네..."하는 신음소리가 곳곳에서 들린다. 더욱 심각한 문제는 자판기 사업 메리트가 과거보다 점점 떨어진다는 점이다. 돈 될만한 아이템도 드물고, 기존 아이템의 사업성도 점점 떨어지는 현실. 정말 답답하기 그지없는 상황에서 '어떻게 하면 돌파구를 찾을 수 있을까?'에 골몰하지 않을 수 없다. 기존 아이템의 시장이 막히면 어떻게든지 다른 사업모델을 찾는 일이 불황 타파의 좋은 해법이 될 수 있다. 예주테크코리아의 손민호 사장은 이 부분에 주목하고 있는 사람이다. 그는 기존 자사의 주력 사업영역인 껌볼 캔디 자판기 사업이 부진해지는 양상을 보이자 발빠르게 다른 사업 모델을 찾아 나섰다. 도대체 최근 사업에 무슨 일이 있기에 "사업 다각화를 해야 살아남는다"고 주창하고 있는 것일까?

해양수산 연구개발사업으로 추진하고 있는 "초고속해상무선통신망 무선설비 다각화 및 통신연계 기술개발"은 LTE-M. 무선설비 다각화 개발, 선내 극한환경 대응 무선 M-IoT 기술개발, 선박 M-S2X 기술개발 및 통신망 품질검증 객관화 고도화 연구로 구분되어 추진되고 있다. 해당 논문을 통하여 관련 주요 추진성과를 공유하고 향후 계획을 제시하고자 한다.
