The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of tourism councils on the activation of rural tourism by comparing the rural tourism sites with the tourism councils and the rural tourism sites without tourism councils. The comparative indicators were divided into statistical quantitative indicators such as number of tourists, sales volume, and income level, and qualitative indicators of satisfaction, return visit, and word of mouth intentions. As a result of the study, it was found that all the items of the quantitative and qualitative indicators were active in the rural tourism area where the tourism council was composed. This can be attributed to the fact that the members of the tourism council consist of administrative agencies, experts, tourism operators, experts, etc., and constantly develop strategic programs such as diverse opinions and unique constellations. Therefore, in order to revitalize rural tourism in the future, it can be said that the tourism council should be constructed, and institutional devices should be prepared so that experts and residents in each field can participate equally.

This study compared and analyzed the trends of wellness-related tourism polices in Japan, which have policy similarities with Korea, through related literature research and online interview surveys amid growing demand for wellness tourism in Korea's wellness tourism policy implications. According to the survey, wellness tourism-related concepts do not differ particularly between Korea and Japan, and the use of health tourism or wellness tourism concepts is more common in Japan than healing tourism. Wellness tourism policy is analyzed to be more systematic in Japan in the areas of policy principal agent's flexibility, policy efficiency, related certification, and human resource development, and Korea in the driving force and institutional maintenance of policy. It was judged that Korea needs to establish a wellness tourism consultative body, such as the case of Japan, and improve efficiency through systematic certification of wellness tourism and qualitative management of related manpower. In order to industrialize wellness tourism, it is necessary to increase the healing effectiveness and product value of wellness tourism by organically linking wellness resources specialized by region, and to conduct in-depth analysis of the direction and strategies of wellness tourism policies in preparation for the post-Corona(COVID-19) Era and an empirical study of tourism sites.

With the introduction of smart devices as a new channel of information distribution, the mass tourism that has been dominating the travel scene is being transformed into individual tourism. Therefore, it is more than important to establish an advanced smart tourism environment using cutting-edge ICT technologies in order to go into one of tourism developed countries. In line with that, this study draws both local and international cases to show where smart tourism stands now by mapping out problems and solutions by category. Firstly, in terms of infrastructure, establishing distribution platform and big data analyzing systems were suggested. Secondly, to fit the needs of consumers, converged tourism content and user experience based content development are in need. Lastly, in terms of governance forming public-private consultative body and incubating creative tourism companies are suggested. The study results will serve as a fruitful reference to those who want to establish business strategy related to smart tourism.

Cruise industry in the world has been one of the most prosperous industries for the past 30 years and thus its effect is classified by both economic side incurred from its own tourism industry directly and indirectly, and another economic one from development of related-industries such as shipbuilding, heavy industries, and so on. Under these circumstances, it is evaluated that Korea will have good circumstances of activating the highly value-added cruise industries. In order to do it, this country will have to meet as follows: the significant investment in cruise infrastructure, the organization of North-East Asia cruise council, the building-up of cooperation between government and private, the improvement of cruise-related law and institution, the simplification of entry procedure for cruise tourists, the active development and public relation of cruise tourism industry, and so on.

Pour cela, Yeosu, elle a besoin de programmes touristiques divers et de la $caract{\acute{e}}ristique$ $diff{\acute{e}}renci{\acute{e}}e$ de la $r{\acute{e}}gion$. On peut visiter des vestiages de la $r{\acute{e}}volte$ $arm{\acute{e}}e$ des villes de Yeosu et de Suncheon comme tourisme histoirique qui contient l'invasion japonaise en 1592, la $r{\acute{e}}volution$ paysan en 1894, $l^{\prime}activit{\acute{e}}$ de $r{\acute{e}}sistance$ contre Empire du Japon et la $r{\acute{e}}volte$ $arm{\acute{e}}e$ des villes de Yeosu et de Suncheon. Cette ${\acute{e}}tude$ a pour but de $d{\acute{e}}velopper$ le dark tourisme de Yeosu $apr{\grave{e}}s$ examiner son $applicabilit{\acute{e}}$ sur les vestiges. Pour cela, nous avons ${\acute{e}}valu{\acute{e}}s$ la $caract{\acute{e}}ristique$ de lieu des vestiges $fond{\acute{e}}s$ sur les conditions de vestiges et de tourisme de Yeosu. Mountain destination plays a vital role in satisfying the demand of natural tourism products, provides exclusive leisure, adventure and unique cultural experience. The Himalayan region includes some of the most biologically diverse habitats on Earth as well as homes to a bewildering variety of culture. The purpose of this study is to figure out the mountain tourism as a tool of sustainable development and explore the tourism destination development strategies with case study of Himalayan area. In this study, we recognized the importance of tourism for the isolated developing communities, for which, tourism provide the way of developing its economic and society. It also generates new opportunities of employment and change the soclo-economic environment of region. The hilly terrain of the state lacks reliable transportation infrastructure, therefore tourism is the only industries to support the economy and to uplift the standard of living for the people of Himalayan region. The region has large potential in the natural and cultural based tourism. The tourism development of the state may have cultural and ecological impact in future. Therefore, the planning and successfully promoting long-term policy and developing more sustainable tourism is important.

This paper presents the main business models in ubiquitous city (u-City), the future city strategically integrated with the ubiquitous computing technology. Based on the concept of u-City, the chief services related to the u-City that has been actively developed are analysed, and then the best main four business models (u-Tour, u-ITS, u-SCM and B2B) for SongTan city are presented. The four business models are selected from making an analysis for the present situation of the tour industries, industrial complex, traditional market in SongTan. With the business models, the strategies to realize the active business transactions, high revenues, high value-adding industries, self-sufficient business through the construction of u-City are also presented. Finally, the promoting plans for local autonomy party, citizen party and consortium of industries/universities/researches to give an comfortable u-Life to citizen in SongTan are described.

The purpose of this study is to establish an effective protection and management system for World Heritage (WH) nomination of Southwestern Coast Tidal Flat (SCTF) by proposing a model of protection and management. SCTF has a potential to become a representative best practice to achieve a sustainable development for human society. SCTF has a potential Outstanding Universal Values (OUVs) for WH nomination, thus a harmony between human and nature for wise use of natural resources needs to be pursued. It is required to present the system of SCTF's protection and management and to analyze present status of the regions in the Tentative List by comparing the case which were already inscribed as WH. For better protection of nominated areas, SCTF should expand an area for protection with additional designation. For the management system, two separate management systems such as the Department of Culture & Tourism and the Department of Oceans & Fisheries need to be reconciled. Because of this overlapping management structure, the management of the nominated sites has been inefficient and long-term management plan is lacking. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate conflicting management system of each local government and make a long-term, integrated management plan. To make an efficient and sustainable protection and management, it is essential to set up a collaboration system by integrating various stakeholders such as central and local governments, academic organizations, local residents, and NGOs. As in the case of Wadden Sea, the combined community system of the stakeholders mentioned above should be established. Because it is essential for local residents to understand a basic concepts for protection and management, it is necessary to establish capacity-building of local people. The protection and management structure should be set up by bottom-up processes, that is the proper structure shoud be based on thorough research on local society as well as thorough communication with local residents to make relevant laws and policies. This study also propose the proper plan for better conservation and management of SCTF.
