An analysis on the pilot test of web-based training for teachers' competency development (교원능력개발 원격연수 시범운영 분석)

  • Since MEST accredited web-based training institutes for teacher training in December 2000, although there have been growth quantitatively, due to the issues such as difficulty in securing time for training, in communications infrastructure, in interactions between instructors and learners, in fair online evaluation, in contents renewal, in management of learners, web-based training could not reach the potential we expected. This study was conducted to provide the directions for development of teachers' web-based training along with teacher evaluation for professional development. A survey and interview research was conducted to investigate and anaylze the satisfaction research and suggestions, levels of training system use of trainees who had participated in the pilot test of web-based training.

The Secondary Gifted Education Teachers' Perceptions of the STEAM and the Convergence Gifted Education (중등 영재 지도교사들의 융합인재교육(STEAM)과 융합영재교육에 대한 인식)

  • This research studies the perception to gifted education teachers between the middle school gifted education for STEAM and Convergence Gifted Education for revitalizing Convergence Gifted Education. The conclusions according to the analysis, it shows that the awareness of gifted education teachers for Convergence Gifted Education is lower than the level of the awareness for STEAM, and it appears that the Gifted education teachers especially has the experience adapting Convergence Gifted Education who awareness for Convergence Gifted Education is the highest. On the other hand, not only teachers has the experience adapting Convergence Gifted Education and the very poorly recognition for the task of Comprehensive Plan for Gifted Education promotion including the development of an creative and convergence content, a they has the very low experience for the development. And it analyzes that although there is no meaningful differences, teachers who are in science gifted teachers and the mature experienced man realizes very optimistically the necessity need of Convergence Gifted Education. Therefore, it analyzes that recognition to the necessity need of Convergence Gifted Education is reinforced through the training for the gifted teachers in the mathematics gifted education and in less teaching experience. But it points out that answers over the majority cognized to resemble the Convergence Gifted Education and STEAM, though the object is only different. Furthermore, it suggests that the differentiated Convergence Gifted Education curriculum providing the suitableness for the characteristic and level is needed for the desirable fixedness.

  • 인터넷 제반기반 및 관련 서비스의 발전은 물리적인 시간과 공간의 한계를 뛰어 넘어 언제, 어디서나 학습할 수 있는 e-learning의 기초가 되었다. [1]에서는 e-learning을 ‘장소나 시간의 제약 없이 높은 수준의 양방향 교육을 제공하기 위한 서비스와 기술’이라 정의하였다. 우리는 e-learning을 학습자와 시스템간의 양방향 커뮤니케이션(communication)을 이용한 새로운 학습 활동으로 정의하고, e-learning 시스템을 멀티미디어 (multimedia)로 이루어진 학습 콘텐츠(contents)를 통신망을 이용하여 학습자에게 전달하고, 학습자 정보를 전달받아 학습효과를 높을 수 있는 정보로서 재가공하는 역할을 담당하는 소프트웨어(software) 및 하드웨어(hardware)로 정의한다. e-learning은 책상과 칠판으로 연상 될 수 있는 현재의 강의 방식을 단순하게 디지털화(digitize)하는 수준을 넘어 효과적이고 새로운 교육방식을 지칭하고 있다.

  • 2015 개정 교육과정에 의해 2018년부터 중학교에서 정보 교과가 필수로 수업이 진행되고 있다. 핵심역량으로 정보문화소양, 컴퓨팅 사고력, 협력적 문제해결력이 제시되었고, 특히 컴퓨팅 사고력이 주목받고 있다. ISTE와 미국 컴퓨터과학교사협회(CSTA)에서 정의한 컴퓨팅 사고력의 하위 9가지 영역을 제시하였다. 본 논문은 9가지 영역 중에서 자료 표현 요소에 초점을 두고 학습자들의 자료 표현력 신장을 위해 필요한 개인적 특성으로 사고 패턴에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 향후 교육적 방법으로 적용이 가능하도록 제언하였다.

Analysis of Educational Effects in Augmented Reality Combined Marker System (증강현실 조합형 마커시스템의 교육효과분석)

  • Of computing skills in the field of multi-media, particularly augmented reality technology contents may provide realistic learning experiences with 3D pictures through the learners' manipulation activities. However, the marker systems in the existing studies were not well developed as to maintain the students' interest and concentration. In this study, we have designed the first lesson ("Earth and Moon") of 5th graders' science with augmented reality combined system so that we could deal with manipulation activities of the relationship between augmented objects, From the experimental study, using combined augmented reality contents made a significant difference in their learning achievement and motivation. Thus augmented reality combined system can be utilized for a variety of topics to maintain students' learning motivation.

  • As society has changed to being more knowledge-based, it is indispensable that Internet usage is incorporated into education. Therefore, the e-learning system is being developed in order to provide a proper environment. However, many LCMS that were developed, currently are not based on SCORM, the world e-learning standard, nor KEM, the Korea Educational Metadata of Korea Education & Research Information Service(KERIS), and hence, it is difficult to share learning contents developed from such varied environments. National Science Museum, a non-educational institution, also provides the educational science exhibits in reality or in cyber space, which cannot be produced by elementary schools, and secondary schools. Consequently, new systems are necessary, whose modules should be divided into four, for example, 'teachers', 'learners', 'managers', and 'instructors', and be associated with each other so that they are able to integrate and manage such systems, and be used in school education as well. Therefore, in this study, more advanced LMS and LCMS, which are the web-portal sites used for a cyber science class at the National Science Museum, were designed and established. These sites were surely based on the KEM, and the SCORM.

Comparative Analysis of Disaster Safety Education Contents of National Curriculum in Korea : Focusing on the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum and the 2015 Revised Curriculum (우리나라 국가수준 교육과정의 재난안전 교육내용 비교 분석 : 2019 개정 누리과정과 2015 개정 교육과정을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum and the 2015 Revised Curriculum for the comparative analysis of disaster safety education contents in the national level curriculum. The main results of this study are as follows: First, the content of disaster safety education for preschoolers in the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum was clarified as 'Knowing how to react in case of accident, fire, disaster, abuse, kidnap etc.' in 'Living safety' category of physical exercise and health sections. Second, in the 2015 Revised Curriculum, disaster safety education contents for elementary school students were found to have the difference between school year in same elementary school curriculum. For first and second graders, 'Disaster safety' was cleary presented in one of major categories of 'Living safety', which was newly created at the creative activity in the Revised 2015 Curriculum. On the other hand, for third to sixth graders, safety education is dispersed in the related subjects such as physical education, science, practical courses or in the creativity activity. Third, the safety contents in the Revised 2015 Curriculum for middle school and high school were also found to be dispersed in social studies, physical education, science, technology-home economics and creativity activity. The results of this study showed that the contents of disaster safety education in the national curriculum did not have continuity and systemicity from kindergarten to high school. Therefore, efforts should be made to ensure continuity and systemicity of disaster safety education contents when the national curriculum is revised in the future.

A Study of the Educational Effects of Aesthetic Experience through Culture and Arts Based Learning Development Case (문화예술활동 기반 교육 개발사례에서 미적경험이 주는 교육적 효과 분석)

  • This study tried to analyze the effects of culture and arts activities as educational method in the classroom. Compared with other activities, the culture and arts activity enables learners to have unique aesthetic experience differentiated from scientific and logical experience. This study analyzed the effects largely into three aspects (intellectual, emotional, and practical aspects) in case learners have such aesthetic experience in the field of education. Through this, the study will become an opportunity to propose practical data concerning the educational effects of the culture and arts activity, and further to confirm the possibility and necessity of utilizing such activity as an education method.

A Literature Review on Media-Based Learning in Science (과학과 미디어 기반 학습 관련 문헌 연구)

  • Media is the medium that impart information beyond time and space. They refer to characters or images that serve as means to convey information. From old media such as newspapers and television to new media such as the internet and smart phones, media has developed cumulatively with the development of technology. The goal of media education is to develop the understanding of the properties of media, the ability of critical interpretation of media and selective acceptance. Furthermore it is to cultivate the ability to express meaning creatively and communicate through media. I carried out 'the research of Korean classroom instruction models based on media' with Korean language and social studies education researchers from July 2016 to December 2016. This study is a fundamental study of the project. Based on 58 research papers published between 2006 and 2016, research trends and factors were extracted through literature studies related to media-based science learning. The Result has shown that the studies related to media-based science learning is on the rise, and more than half of all researchers studied about elementary school students. The studies were divided into research on students, research on teachers and pre-service teachers, research on smart devices or media contents, and research on the development of digital textbooks. Among the four variables, there were many researches related to students' cognitive and affective development, and the development and application of media contents.

Work-Competencies and Competency-based Curriculum Development (중소기업에서 요구되는 직업역량과 역량기반 교육과정 개발)

  • This study was aimed to propose a framework for the design and implementation of a competency-based curriculum for higher education institutions. For achieving the purpose, surveys were conducted with 300 companies at the southern regional area to find out core work-competencies that are needed in the work places. In addition, general education curriculum from 4 universities from the same area were analyzed and compared with the survey results to examine if the university curriculum satisfy the need of work places by providing courses that nurturing work competencies. The study found that abilities to work as a team and self-regulation are the core competencies. However, the participating universities did not provide enough courses for students to achieve the core work competencies that are mostly needed in the work places. Based on the study results, the competency based-curriculum were suggested, and the process for implementing the curriculum was discussed.
