Fabrication and Characteristics of Wavelength Insensitive Optical Fiber Coupler (파장 무의존형 광섬유 결합기의 제작 및 특성)

  • Optical fiber coupler is a crucial optical passive component for optical transmission systems. In this paper, we fabricate wavelength insensitive optical coupler(WIC), of two types for which the processing procedures are complicate and difficult. These couplers are fabricated by two optical fibers having either different fiber parameters or different cladding diameters. To clarify the validity, we measure the optical characteritics and compare to the data of theoretical simulation. The experiment results ref#eat that it has uniformity of about 1.0 dB and excess loss of less than 0.1 dB in the range of $1310{\pm}40nm\;and\;1550{\pm}40nm$.

  • We have sent the 1000 hair samples to USA and received the results from USA because the programs for the interpretation of Tissue Mineral Analysis (TMA) result is not opened yet in Korea. Therefore, the study will analyze the relationship between the hair for Korean and minerals and make a classification system. To achieve the goal, first of all, we coded the results of patients and classified the analyzed results which are the interrelationship between the minerals and dietary situation and the heavy metals and diseases through the statistical methods. Finally we classified 8 metabolic type using decision tree classifier.

  • 전치부사이의 비정상적 공간이 생기는 원인은 순측소대, 악궁과 치아의 크기 부조화, 악습관, 과잉치, 치주염으로 인한 병적치아이동 등 다양하다. 이러한 일차적인 원인요소들을 먼저 제거한 후 남게 되는 공간을 해결하기 위해서 교정치료 또는 여러가지 보철수복방법을 고려해 볼 수 있다. 보철적으로 치료할 경우, laminate를 이용하여 심미적인 전치부를 만드는 술식은 보존적인 면에서나 심미적인 면에서 유리한 점이 있어 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 인접면사이에 비교적 큰 공간이 존재하며, 감소된 치주조직으로 인하여 치간유두의 소실이 많고 직경이 작은 치경부가 노출되었을 경우에는 laminate를 이용하여 공간을 수복하기가 쉽지 않기 때문에, 교정적으로 치아를 이동시킴으로서 보다 심미적인 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 증례는 중등도의 치주질환으로 인하여 치주조직이 감소된 상악중절치에서 정중이개의 양이 비교적 크고 치간유두의 소실 및 직경이 작은 치경부가 노출된 환자에서 laminate를 이용하여 심미적인 공간폐쇄를 도모하였다.

  • A series of numerical analyses on soft clay ground improved by plastic board drain(PBD) were carried out, in order to investigate the consolidation behavior considering viscosity of the improved ground. The applicability of numerical analyses, in which an elasto-viscoplastic three-dimensional consolidation finite element method is applied in this study, was confirmed through comparison between experimental and analytical results. As the analytical results, consolidation behavior of both settlement and excess pore pressure and effective stress in clay were elucidated. Then secondary consolidation characteristics of improved ground were estimated through compare with results of typical one-dimensional consolidation analysis.

A Comparative Study on the Effect of Promoting Consolidation between SCP and GCP (SCP와 GCP의 압밀촉진효과에 관한 비교 고찰)

  • In this paper, a series of model tests were performed in laboratory to evaluate promoting consolidation of compaction pile methods for soft ground improvement. For the model tests, composite soil samples that have 10% replacement area ratio were prepared by using sand, gravel, and sandy gravel for the materials of compaction piles. After loading to each composite soil sample, the excess pore pressure dissipation and settlement were investigated. In addition, the behavior of clay mixed with each compaction pile was also monitored at the end of consolidation to evaluate clogging phenomenon. As a test result, the effects for decreasing settlement and promoting consolidation by GCP were prominent, and the mixed clay was not monitored in all of the three compaction piles.

  • When the latency of a flow in a fair packet scheduler, which is determined by its rate, violates its required delay bound, the scheduler should reduce the latency with even raising the rate being reserved for the flow. The excessively reserved rate win enforce some outgoing link bandwidth be lost. This loss can not be, unfortunately, evaluated by the three metrics of latency, fairness and implementation complexity used in previous works. This paper is aimed to first introduce the metric of bandwidth utilization to investigate the bandwidth loss in a scheduler and then evaluate the timestamp based schedulers in terms of the bandwidth and payload utilizations. The results show that the bandwidth utilization increases with loosing the required delay bound and, in particular, schedulers with the latency property of WFQ have much better payload utilization by up to 50% than that in the SCFQ one.

  • C CdTe와 HgCdTe는 광전소자나 태양전지,x 선 및 y 선 감지 소자 그리고 적외선 감지소 자로의 웅용둥으로 인하여 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 광전소자를 제작함에 있어서 깊은 준위나 얄은 준위에 있는 몇들은 운반자 수명에 매우 큰 영향을 미치고 있음에도 불구하고 광전도도 측정에 의한 운반자 수명 연구에 대하여는 보고된 것이 별로 없다. 이에 본 논문에서는 CdTe 시료의 광전도도를 측정하여 운반자 수명 및 깊은 준위의 위치를 알아보았다 M MBE방법을 이용하여 CdTe 기판위에 In을 도핑한 CdTe를 성장하였다. 광전도 붕괴(PCD) 측정은 300 K에서부터 400 K까지 온도를 변화시켜주면서 측정을 하였고 광원으로서 G GaP- LED를 사용하였으며 전압 신호를 읽기 위하여 Tektronix 2430A 오실로스코프를 이용하 였다 .. Fig. 1. 에서 보인바와 같이 광전도 붕괴곡선은 접선으로 나타낸 하나의 지수 함수적 붕 괴(a2exp( -t/ r 2))보다는 설선으로 나타낸 두 개의 지수함수적 붕괴(alexp( νr 1)+a2exp( -νr 2)) 가 더욱 잘 실험결과와 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 것은 과잉 전하에 대한 깊은준위를 가 지고 있는 반도체물질에서 일반적으로 관찰되는 것으로 시료가 n 형이기 때문에 소수 운반자 인 정공의 벚에 의한 것으로 생각된다 .. Fig. 2. 에서는 운반자 수명의 온도에 대한 변화를 나타 낸 것이다. 온도가 증가함에 따라 운반자 수명이 감소하는 경항올 보이고 있으며 이것올 이용 하여 딪익 활성화 에너지를 계산 하여 본 결과 0.35 eV 와 0.43 eV염을 알수 있었다.

Visualization of luminescent radicals in the flame by image processing (영상처리에 의한 화염 발광 라디칼의 가시화)

  • The Measurement of concentration patterns for $C_2$, CH and OH radicals in the premixed propane-air flame could be managed through an image processing technique. This technique was applied to the three kinds of flames on a bunsen burner-mixtures of fuel to be lean, optimum and excessive respectively. The image processing system was complished by treating single wavelength flame images around the eac radical luminescence band, which was obtained by using a set of narrow band pass filters, an image intensifier, CCD and PC. It was possible to observe and predict the reaction zone and the concentration distribution of the radicals, Spatial distribution of each radicals in the raaction zone gave us enough informations to analyze the reaction mechanisms in $C_mH_n$ combustion process. According to this informations, the image of $C_2$ radical exists at front zone, following the images of CH and OH radicals at downstream.

  • 본 연구에서는 메탄을 물질로 산화실험을 수행하였다. 메탄의 발화온도가 탄화수소 중에 가장 높으며, 대부분의 전이금속촉매 활성온도가 가장 높게 나타나는 물질이므로 메탄의 연소가 일어날 경우 대부분의 탄화수소류는 연소가 일어날 수 있으므로 메탄의 산화반응을 연구하였다. 메탄의 산화를 위한 전이금속 촉매중 망간을 산화물형태로 $Al_2O_3$, $TiO_2$에 담지하여 메탄에 대한 활성능을 측정하였으며, 조촉매로 금속산화물을 이용하여 활성능의 변화를 연구하였다. 또한 자연에 존재하는 천연망간광석과 금속산화물을 담지하여 최적의 메탄에 대한 활성능을 지닌 촉매를 선별하였다. 조촉매로는 Ce, Sn, Ni, Co, Mo 등을 이용하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 촉매 제조는 과잉용액함침법을 사용하여 담지체에 촉매물질을 분산하였으며, 온도와 유량에 대한 각 조성 촉매의 활성능을 측정하여 활성화에너지 및 $T_{50}$, $T_{90}$을 도출하였다.

Applying the Space Syntax Technique to the Network of Public Transportation (Space Syntax 기법의 대중교통망 적용 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the traffic congestion of the city and public transportation-oriented policies in large cities, public transportation is receiving attention and being used increasingly. However, relatively less research on the design and distribution of public transportation network and limitations in quantitative approaches have made implementation and operation practically difficult. Over- or under-supply of transportation routes caused unbalanced connectivity among areas and, thus, differences in time, expenses and metal burden of users traveling the same distances. On the other hand, the Space Syntax theory, originally designed to calculate the connectivity of urban or architectural spaces, helps generate quantitative connectivity of whole space simply based on the spacial structure. This study modified the original Space Syntax algorithm to fit the public transportation problem and showed how it is applied to a transportation network by creating an artificial GIS network.
