A Study on the Factors Influencing a Company's Selection of Machine Learning: From the Perspective of Expanded Algorithm Selection Problem (기업의 머신러닝 선정에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구: 확장된 알고리즘 선택 문제의 관점으로)

  • As the social acceptance of artificial intelligence increases, the number of cases of applying machine learning methods to companies is also increasing. Technical factors such as accuracy and interpretability have been the main criteria for selecting machine learning methods. However, the success of implementing machine learning also affects management factors such as IT departments, operation departments, leadership, and organizational culture. Unfortunately, there are few integrated studies that understand the success factors of machine learning selection in which technical and management factors are considered together. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to propose and empirically analyze a technology-management integrated model that combines task-tech fit, IS Success Model theory, and John Rice's algorithm selection process model to understand machine learning selection within the company. As a result of a survey of 240 companies that implemented machine learning, it was found that the higher the algorithm quality and data quality, the higher the algorithm-problem fit was perceived. It was also verified that algorithm-problem fit had a significant impact on the organization's innovation and productivity. In addition, it was confirmed that outsourcing and management support had a positive impact on the quality of the machine learning system and organizational cultural factors such as data-driven management and motivation. Data-driven management and motivation were highly perceived in companies' performance.

The Mediating Effect of Self-Efficicy in the Relationship between Hospital Employee's Job Placement and Individual Performance (병원 재직자들의 직무배치와 개인성과간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과 검증)

  • To improve management performance, medical institutions have great attentions to selecting the good employee. Through job placement, recruited employee performing a given task, previous studies have lack of research, how job environment affects the individual perception of job ability and individual performance. Therefore, targeting at the health care professional employees who work in the hospital, 134 questionnaire data collected, this study performed an empirical study on the relationship between person-job fit, self-efficacy and individual performance. Specifically, mediating effect of self-efficacy between person-job fit and individual performance was verified. The results indicate that first, person-job fit appeared to affect significantly to the sub-factor of self-efficacy (self-adjustment, confidence, goal-difficulty). Second, among the self-efficacy sub-factor, self-adjustment, confidence appeared to influence to the individual performance. Third, self-adjustment was fully mediated between person-job fit and individual performance and confidence was partially mediated between person-job fit and individual performance. These findings have the theoretical implications that self-efficacy studies are expanded to environmental factors and practical implications and study's limitations are discussed in terms of hospital organization's human resource management.

The suggestion of tunneling information and detail requirements for EPB shield machine design (토압식 쉴드TBM 장비설계를 위한 설계항목과 세부 요구사양의 구성에 관한 제안)

  • Recently, tunneling projects using shield TBM are increasing in Korea, but the information of client for machine design and manufacturing considering the characteristics of the tunneling phase is not formal, and it is difficult to optimized machine for suitable tunneling works. This paper suggest as for reference the required terms that can be used in Korea on the design items and detailed requirements for ordering of EPB shield TBM based on overseas case study. It would be hope that the TBM user can request the overall tunneling plan and required machine specification when ordering TBM, and the TBM supplier can design and manufacturing that is clear condition and suitable machine for the successful project, so that there are no residential civil complaints and for safe tunneling as well, shield TBM tunneling method will be activated.

Development and Initial Validation of the Korean Job Crafting Scale (한국판 잡 크래프팅 척도 개발 및 타당화)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the Korean Job Crafting Scale. First, previous studies on the concept and measurement of job crafting were reviewed, and items were developed based on this review. The content validity of the scale was examined using a focus group interview consisting of 10 HRM professionals. Following modification of the items, the measurements were administered to 305 employees from 8 Korean firms, and exploratory factor analysis was conducted in order to examine the factorial validity of the scale. Subsequently, confirmatory factor analysis was implemented concerning data collected from 295 employees who work in 7 Korean firms. Results indicated that the measurement model sufficiently explained the data at an appropriate level, and the subscales featured convergent and discriminant validity. If the scale developed in this study is validated in further studies, it can be employed to conduct research regarding job crafting in Korean organizations.

  • Since mid-1990s, demands for programmer have been decreasing, and the experts of planning IT strategy and solving overall management issues with IT have been increasingly needed. IS experts would have many different types of job as time passes, and they need variety of job competencies to meet their career paths. The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential careers to suit MIS major and the needed skills in that field to develop MIS Curriculum. We asked to the personnel working in the IS organization and user departments to evaluate the current MIS curriculum of 4 year colleges in Korea and to let us know what jobs are the most important for them, what the core job competencies for them are. The results of study show that there are several courses the users and IS experts regard as core courses: Introduction to Management, Project Management, Introduction to MIS, DBMS, ERP, Systems Development Methodology, and IS Strategy Planning. IS experts regard the data and application integration, IT evaluation and strategic planning as the important jobs, and the most important job competency to conduct those jobs is the category of interpersonal skills, and business management knowledge, IT skills are succeeded.

  • 문명 발전에 의해 생활공간이 더욱더 복잡해짐에 따라 현실 세계의 3차원 공간으로서의 이해가 필요해졌고, 3차원 공간을 효율적으로 관리 및 분석하기 위하여 3차원 GIS에 대한 중요성이 대두되기 시작하였다. 현재까지의 3차원 GIS는 1990년대에 들어서 3차원 가상도시의 등장으로 도시 모델의 3차원 가시화에 대해 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 이러한 3차원 가상도시는 도시 관리 차원에서 도시공간의 표현, 분석, 모델링, 시뮬레이션 등을 통하여 도시정보의 체계적이고 효율적인 관리를 가능하게 한다. 3D GIS 기술의 활용 사례로는 3차원 도시 경관 분석 및 도시 계획, 3차원 시뮬레이션, 3차원 위치기반 서비스, 도시 행정 관리 등이 있다. 3차원 도시 경관 분석 및 도시 계획 활용 분야에서는 3차원 GIS를 활용하여 새롭게 건설되는 건물들이나 토지 이용 변경에 따른 경관 분석을 가상공간에서 시뮬레이션 분석함으로써 경관 변화 예측 및 적합한 경관 설계에 대한 분석을 한다. 3차원 시뮬레이션의 경우 환경오염도 분석, 최적의 입지선정, 개발 전후의 경관 차이, 각종 재난에 따른 위험도 분석, 경관과 일조량 분석 등을 미리 가상도시에 시뮬레이션 함으로서 불필요한 업무를 줄일 수 있고 발생할 수 있는 결과 값을 예상할 수 있다. 3차원 위치기반 서비스의 경우 자신의 위치를 비교적 정확히 측정함으로서 생소한 도시를 방문하거나 위치를 찾아갈 경우 최단 경로 및 최적 경로를 탐색할 수 있다. 앞으로의 3차원 GIS 기술 동향으로 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 시공간분석(Temporal GIS)과 3차원 실내공간인지 기술 개발 등으로 볼수있다. 시공간분석은 시공간 질의를 통한 공간정보의 시간에 다른 변화 계산 또는 예측된 결과를 분석할 수 있고, 시공간 분석에 사용되는 공간적, 시간적 정보의 조합은 적어도 3차원 이상의 정보를 나타내기 때문에 필요에 따라 다양한 결과를 산출 할 수 있다. 종합적으로 시공간분석은 GIS의 분석 범위를 넓혀 주며 실시간 GIS 응용시스템 개발을 위한 주요 과업이다. 3차원 실내공간정보 표현기법과 공간분석 및 공간인지 기법을 이용한 통한 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 3차원 실내공간인지 기술 개발을 통해 최근 공간정보를 기반으로 한 위치기반서비스내 u-서비스 즉, 인간 행태의 분석, 관리 및 응용을 지원하도록 한다 이는 위치기반서비스 사용자의 주변상황에 대한 인지능력을 향상시켜주고 최근 사회적 이슈가 되고 있는 U-City의 성공여부에 직접적인 영향을 미칠것이다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 기술개발이 수행되어야 할것이다. 첫째로, 공간인지 기술을 위한 3차원 실내공간표현 방법 개발, 둘째로, 3차원 실내공간정보를 이용한 공간분석 및 공간인지 기법 개발, 마지막으로 유비쿼터스 환경에서 3차원 실내공간인지를 위한 미들웨어 개발을 통해서 공간정보의 활용을 macro-scale 공간에서 micro-scale로 확산될 것이다. 그러므로, 본 세미나를 통해서, 3차원 GIS의 활용의 보편화와 대중화를 위해서는 3차원 데이터 획득 및 처리 방법, 3차원 공간데이타베이스, 공간 분석 및 가시화에 대한 기술적 이슈들을 논하고자 한다.

  • 모바일 폰은 최근 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 사용자 제작 컨텐츠 (User-Created Content: UCC)의 생산과 공유를 위한 중요한 수단이다. 또한 HSDPA나 4G와 같은 차세대 이동통신 기술은Flickr나 YouTube 등의 웹 사이트에서 제공되고 있는 UCC 서비스가 모바일 폰을 통해서도 더욱 활발히 이용될 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 모바일 폰이 가지고 있는 작은 화면 크기와 불편한 입력 장치라는 기본적인 한계는 모바일 UCC 서비스의 성공에 큰 장애 요인으로 작용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 정보 구조 (Information Structure) 및 정보 시각화 (Information Visualization)와 관련된 기존 이론 및 연구들을 기반으로 4가지 다른 모바일 폰 인터페이스들을 개발하고, 사용자들의 모바일 폰을 통한 탐색적 UCC 서비스 사용을 지원하는데 어떠한 인터페이스가 더 적합한지 실험 방법론을 통해 검증하는 것을 기본 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 위하여 개발된 인터페이스들은 컨텐츠 구조의 관점에서 폴더 기반 계층 구조 (Folder-Based Hierarchical Structure)이나 태그 기반 네트워크 구조 (Tag-Based Network Structure)를 가지고 있으며, 컨텐츠 시각화의 관점에서는 고정 버튼 (Fixed Buttons)이나 멀티 디스플레이 버튼 (Multi-Display Buttons)를 가지고 있다. 66명의 실험 참가자들을 대상으로 한 실험 결과, 사용자들은 탐험 지향적 탐색 과업 (Exploratory Browsing)에서 태그 기반 네트워크 구조 또는 멀티 디스플레이 버튼이 제공된 모바일 인터페이스에 대하여 상대적으로 더 높은 유용성, 즐거움, 만족도, 향후 사용의도 등을 나타내었다.

The Development and Application of Integrating Instruction with Evaluation Materials for Strengthening of Independent Living Competence: Focused on Technology and Home Economics Education (기술·가정과 생활자립역량 함양을 위한 교수학습-평가 연계 자료 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze the home economics education experts' and teachers' perception of ways to align instruction with evaluation, based on the 2015 revised technology and home economics curriculum for the purpose of developing the independent living competencies, and to provide examples of alignment in practice. The analysis is based on the data from a Delphi study (10 experts) and a survey of technology and home economics teachers(n=422). The results of survey indicated that experts and teachers perceived the instruction-assessment alignment to be most appropriate for project learning-project assessment, followed by project learning-portfolio assessment, problem solving learning-portfolio assessment, and problem solving learning-project assessment, in order. Based on the survey results, a model of instruction-assessment alignment and a teaching-learing plan were presented, based on 'Development task of life cycle and Life plan' unit. This was considered to be a proper method of instructional alignment for the purpose of developing 'independent living competence' with project-learning/project-assessment. The model focuses on consistency between instruction and evaluation, unity in methods, and the availablility of feedbacks of assessment for the improvement of independent living competencies. In conclusion, this study contributes as foundational information for teaching and learning-assessment alignment. Diverse methods of instruction-evaluation alignment is expected for future research.

An Empirical Study on Classification, Business Type, Organizational Culture on Performance of Korean IT SMEs·Venture (중소·벤처기업의 업종, 영업형태, 조직문화가 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 삼원분산분석(3-way ANOVA)을 중심으로)

  • In Korea, small and medium sized domestic enterprises(SMEs) play an pivotal role in the national economy, accounting for 99.9% of all enterprises, 87.9% of total employment, and 48.3% of production. and SMEs was driving a real force of the development of national economy in many respects such as innovation, job creation, industrial diversity, balanced regional development. Despite their crucial role in the national development, most of SMEs suffer from a lack of R&D capabilities and equipments as well as funding capacity. Public R&D institutes can provide SMEs with valuable supplementary technological knowledge and help them build technological capacity. so, In order to effectively support SMEs, government and public R&D institutes must be a priority to know about the factors influencing the performance related to technology transfer and technological collaborations. In particular, SMEs are not only taking up a large portion of the national economy, but also their influence in politics and economy so strong that raising the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies is a national policy goal that must be achieved in order to achieve sustained economic growth. For this reason, it is necessary to look specifically at the relationship between concepts such as the environment, strategy, and organizational culture surrounding the enterprise to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs. The paper analyzes 665 companies to find out which organizational culture affects their performance by classification and type of business of SMEs. This study demonstrated that when SMEs seek consistency in their external environment, strategies, and organizational structure to maintain their continued competitiveness. According to three-way analysis of variance (3-way ANOVA) indicates that classification of industries in SMEs has statistically significant main effects, but the type of business and organizational culture do not have significant effects. However, the company's organizational performance (operating profit) of SMES were found to differ significantly in comparison between groups according to classification standards of industries, and therefore adopted some parts. In addition, an analysis of the effect of interaction between the three independent variables of small and medium-sized enterprises has shown that there are statistically significant interaction effects among classification, types of business, and organizational cultures. The results shows that there is an organizational culture suitable for each industry classification and type of business of an entity, and is expected to be used as a basis for establishing promotion policies related to the incubation and commerciality of small and medium-sized venture companies in the future.

The Effect of Vision Sharing at Social Enterprise on Organizational Socialization - Focusing on Mediation Effects of Organizational Health - (사회적기업 종사자의 비전공유가 조직사회화에 미치는 영향 -조직건강을 매개로-)

  • Social enterprise in Korea has faced with many problems such as small size, management capability, lack of technology and weak ability to obtain resources despite its quantitative growth, raising concern over sustainability of social enterprises. Despite such tough environment, unique feature of social enterprise, differentiated from commercial enterprise is that it has clear social mission. In addition, social enterprise has the organizational feature in that vulnerable social group of workers coexists with ordinary workers, and plays a role of helping independence of vulnerable social group. Due to this feature, successful organizational socialization of members in social enterprise is a very important feature. Based on assumption that social mission of social enterprise can be utilized as the unique competitiveness of social enterprise through vision-sharing in the organization, and may give positive effects on successful organizational socialization of organization members, this study aims to conduct empirical research on relationship between vision-sharing and organizational socialization and to explore mediation effects of organizational health as organizational environmental element in relationship between vision sharing and organizational socialization. This study was conducted on 156 employees working at social enterprises. As a result of study, first, vision sharing is found to have positive effects on organizational socialization at social enterprises. Second, vision sharing in social enterprise has positive effects on organizational health. Third, vitality and community-oriented in social enterprise are found to have mediation effects among lower elements of organizational health in relationship between vision sharing and organizational socialization. In conclusion, it is confirmed that the more visions of organization are shared, the more members recognize their organization healthy, resulting in successful organizational socialization. This study is meaningful in that it presents the plans for successful organizational socialization of members of social enterprise including vulnerable groups and that it is the empirical study on plans of social enterprise on human resource management.
