  • This study was carried out to improve management of wasted home appliances and computers. The generation of wasted home appliances and computers in korea was estimated. Disassembling wasted home appliances and computers according to disassembly procedure, investigate fittings weight and disassembly time. To evaluate hazardous contaminants from televisions and computers, measure heavy metals by leaching test.

  • 폐 플라스틱은 석유 물질인 탄화수소로 구성하고 있지만 효과적으로 재활용되지 못하고 대부분 매립, 소각 등의 방법으로 처리하고 있다. 플라스틱은 다양한 용도로 사용되기 때문에 플라스틱의 이용과 소비의 증가는 필연적이다. 예로 미국 가정의 폐 플라스틱은 63% 폴리에틸렌, 11% 폴리프로필렌, 11% 폴리스타이렌, 7% PET 그리고 7% PVC가 발생되는데 이들 화합물 구조가 포화탄화수소형이기 때문에 70% 정도가 방향족 화합물인 석탄에 비해 수소첨가 반응이 요구되지 않는다.(중략)

  • 최근 들어 자동차 보유대 수의 급격한 증가와 함께 폐타이어의 발생량도 급격히 증가하였다. 폐타이어의 발생량이 적었을 때는 매립이나 소각 등의 방법으로 폐타이어를 처리해도 별 문제가 발생하지 않았다. 그러나, 폐타이어 발생량이 급격히 증가한 요즈음은 발생된 폐타이어가 합법적으로 처리되어지지 못하고 야적, 방치, 불법 매립 및 소각 등의 방법으로 처리됨으로써 환경적인 오염뿐만 아니라 시각적 공해, 대기 오염 등의 문제를 심각하게 야기 시키고 있다.(중략)

Geoenvironmental Influence on the Recycled Soil from Demolition Concrete Structures for using in Low Landfilling (건설폐토석의 성토에 따른 지반환경적 영향)

  • The recycled soil that is proceeded from demolition concrete structures was analyzed by the methods of the physical and mechanical tests of soil and TCLP test to use the soil in low landfilling for the construction of an industrial complex. The laboratory test for diffusion of alkali ion in soil mass was analyzed by the methods of XRF and ICP. The fish toxicity test was also conducted to find an environmental influence. The recycled soil through the laboratory test satisfied the engineering property for low landfilling and the criteria of soil contamination. However, the solution which producted by 1:1 ratio of recycled soil and water contained the high pH concentration by alkali ion. The calcium hydroxide solution by CSH cement paste was estimated as the main reason why pH concentration is increased more than 9.0. The high pH concentration in recycled soils causes a toxicity to the livability of fishes. A diffusion area of pH concentration in the ground was analyzed by the Visual Modflow Ver. 2009 program based on geotechnical investigation. The high pH concentration in the recycled soils can be remained as high value due to cement paste in the long term period. Therefore, in the early stage of landfilling work, the mixing with the weathered granite soil is necessary to control the pH concentration.

  • The experimental study of thermal stress in the solid rocket engine nozzle with two different materials, SCM-440 and STS-630, was evaluated. SCM-440 has lager temperature increasing rate and higher temperature at the nozzle expansion region than STS-630. Thermal barrier efficiency and endurance of Zirconia coating were evaluated after making two more nozzles coated by Zirconica. Both coated materials showed about 70 percent higher thermal barrier efficiency than uncoated nozzles. Therefore, Zirconia coating using plasma spray method was useful in thermal safety at supersonic nozzle.

  • Purpose: An increase of empty houses is recognized a serious problem in residential environmental improvement areas and old downtown. The government recognizes the empty houses as a reason for the accelerated formation of local slum, and a negative element threatening the residential environment and urban landscape. Therefore, it has a high interest in the use of empty houses in urban regeneration projects. In this study, we propose a site selecting method for the composition of Art-Village by using empty houses. Method: The main process of this study is to create a dot map and contour map based on a survey of the empty houses on Gwang-ju Metropolitan City. Based on this result, the sites were selected on the basis of the five principles; 1) Density of Empty Houses, 2) Accessibility, 3) Resources of Amenity, 4) Related Plan, and 5) Regional arrangement Result: As a result, this research proposed methods of selecting sites for art village by using empty houses. The eight regions were selected in Gwang-ju Metropolitan City.

Recovery of rare metals from SCR spent catalyst (탈질 폐촉매로부터 유가금속 회수)

  • 본 연구는 탈질용 폐 SCR 촉매로부터 유가금속인 바나듐과 텅스텐을 회수하기 위하여 고온 소다배소, 수침출, 침전 및 용매추출 실험 순으로 진행하였다. 소다배소는 $Na_2CO_3$ 첨가량 5당량, 폐촉매 평균 입자크기 $54{\mu}m$, 배소온도 $850^{\circ}C$, 배소시간 120분의 조건이 적절하였고, 소다배소 산물의 수침출 실험은 배소산물 입자크기 $-45{\mu}m$, 침출온도 $40^{\circ}C$, 침출시간 30분 및 광액밀도 10%의 조건이 적절하였다. 이와 같은 조건하에서 소다배소 및 수침출 실험을 수행한 결과, 바나듐 성분 약 46%와 텅스텐 성분 약 92%가 침출 되었다. 수침출 공정에서 얻어진 바나듐과 텅스텐이 함께 침출된 침출용액으로부터 바나듐 성분을 선택적으로 침전시키기 위하여 MgCl2를 사용하여 침전실험을 수행하였으나, 바나듐 성분이 침전될 때 텅스텐 성분이 함께 침전되어 큰 손실율을 나타내었다. 또한, 침출용액 내의 바나듐과 텅스텐 성분을 분리하기 위하여 용매추출 실험을 수행하였다. 아민계열의 추출제인 Alamine 336 및 Aliquat 336을 사용한 용매추출 실험에서 바나듐과 텅스텐 성분 모두 90% 이상 추출되었다. 이후 수행된 탈거실험에서 대부분의 역추출제에 의해 바나듐과 텅스텐은 동시에 탈거되었다. 그러나 Alamine 336을 추출제로 사용한 유기상의 탈거실험에서 NaCl 및 NH4Cl 용액을 탈거용액으로 사용하였을 경우에 바나듐과 텅스텐이 선택적으로 탈거될 수 있는 가능성을 나타내었다. 반면에 Aliquat 336을 추출제로 사용한 유기상의 탈거실험의 경우, NaOH 용액이 가장 선택적인 탈거용액임을 확인하였다.

Analysis of Heat Transfer considering thickness of Thermal Barrier Coating (열차폐 코팅 두께를 고려한 핀틀의 열전달 해석)

  • In this study, the surface heat transfer coefficient of the 3D model of a thruster regulator in the high temperature and high pressure environment was estimated using the CFD. The thermal barrier coating (TBC) on the surface of the thruster regulator was modeled and the effect of the thickness of the TBC on the temperature of the thruster regulator was investigated. The thickness of the TBC was varied from $100{\mu}m$ to $500{\mu}m$. Results showed that the temperature of the surface and the inside the thruster regulator was lower for the thicker TBS case.
