The engineering technical culture needs to be fostered since it has been an important factor that decides the results of engineering and affects the establishment of social culture to a great extent. However, it is considered that awareness about invisible environments required for the distribution, education, promotion, and development of the engineering culture are not sufficient enough even though physical environments such as investments in engineering and research facilities have reached a substantial level through a recent series of efforts. Thus, distributing cultural activities by improving social awareness is desperately required to solve these problems, To take realistic measures and establish social atmosphere are particularly important. In order to design strategies for the diffusion of the engineering technical culture in the position of users, this research suggests short-term and mid-term plans and operating strategies that could produce substantial results.

Women engineering education programs in the United States, Europe and Australia were analyzed. From 1970s, these countries focused on the low representation of women in engineering, and carried out extensive research and programs. Numerous studies identified the causes of low representation as low interests in mathematics and science during K-12 years, classroom environments which treat women differently (often referred as chilly climate), and the masculine culture in engineering. Comprehensive approaches were taken in the development of the programs: the programs utilized the schools and universities as well as various local institutes, and the programs were designed not only for female students from elementary to graduate levels, but also for parents, teachers, professors, and school administrators. In order to adopt these programs in Korea, the problems that Korean female engineering students are facing in the education environment must be investigated first. Then, unified efforts to change the educational system, environments and culture are needed by all in engineering fields, along with nation-wide policies and funding.

KMPlayer는 2015년부터 국내 기업으로 개발된 세계적으로 넓게 확산된 국산 미디어 플레이어 프로그램이다. 현재는 IOS, Android 버전이 모바일 버전으로 출시되어있다. KMPlayer 안드로이드 어플리케이션은 천만 명 이상의 다운로드 수를 보유하고 있고, 많은 사용자 수를 기반으로 발생하는 방대한 데이터들은 분석 기준에 따라 다양한 형태의 그래프 보고서로 만들어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 KMPlayer 사용 국가들의 활성 사용자 수 그래프를 분석해, 각 국가에서 발생하는 문화적, 사회적 사건이 KMPlayer 안드로이드 버전의 활성 상용자 수 그래프에 어떤 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 역으로 활성 사용자 수 그래프의 변화가 현실의 어떤 사건을 반영하고 있는지에 대해 연구하고자 한다.
