Measurement of flood discharge verification from drones (드론을 활용한 홍수량 검증 측정)

  • 수문조사를 통한 유량자료는 물의 이수, 치수, 환경 등 홍수피해 방지, 수자원의 관리 및 계획을 위한 기초자료로 이용되고 있다. 하지만 예산, 인력, 안전 및 하천공사 등의 문제로 매년 모든 지점에서 유량 측정을 실시하지 못하는 어려움이 있다. 특히 홍수기의 태풍 등 큰 호우사상 발생 시 수위-유량관계 변화 검토가 필요하지만 홍수기 계획지점 이외 지점에서 측정은 위와 같은 문제로 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이런 문제점을 개선하기 위해 최소 인력이 단시간 간편하게 드론을 활용하여 유량을 측정할 수 있는 방법을 도입하였다. 드론을 활용한 유량측정방법은 드론 사진측량 개념에서 접근하였으며 드론 사진측량의 정확도는 다양한 분야에서 많은 연구를 통해 입증된 바가 있다. 본 연구의 대상지점은 중랑천 상류에 위치한 의정부시(신곡교) 지점에서 보급형 회전익 드론 (DJI, 팬텀4 pro)을 활용하여 검증 목적을 위해 측정하였다. 유량측정은 드론으로 촬영된 항공사진 상에서 지상에 위치확인 가능한 지상기준점(GCP, Ground Control Point) 4개점을 선점하고 RTK-VRS 장비를 이용하여 측량을 수행하였다. 항공사진 촬영은 드론을 일정높이의 공중에 정지되어 있는 호버링(Hovering) 상태에서 카메라 타임랩스 기능으로 3초 간격 하도 내 수표면을 촬영하였다. 항공사진 수표면에 유하하는 부유물의 3초 간격 이동위치와 GCP 자료를 활용하여 X, Y 좌표 분석을 통해 3초간 이동거리를 표면유속으로 산정하고 통수단면적을 적용하여 유량을 산정하였다. 이와 같이 드론 사진측량으로 산정된 유량과 일반적인 유량측정 방법을 통해 개발된 수위-유량관계곡선식과의 비교를 통해 드론을 활용한 유량측정 방법의 적용성을 확인하였다. 다만, 드론이라는 기계적인 장비의 한계로 야간, 바람 및 강우 등 환경적인 요인에 의해 측정의 제한이 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study examined how four domains of corporate social responsibility (CSR) affect the trust and distrust of corporations and contribute to their reputation. In particular, this study examined the mediation role of trust and distrust between CSR domains and reputation. The results showed that ethical responsibility and philanthropic responsibility had influence on trust. Legal responsibility had a significant effect on the distrust. Companies that did not fulfill legal responsibilities were more likely to be distrusted. The influence of trust on corporate reputation was significant. The results of this study indicated that trust was a mediator between ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility, and reputation. Economic responsibility had a direct influence on reputation. Theoretical and practical implications for strategic approach in each CSR domain are discussed.

  • The block-co-polymer type thermosetting polysiloxane coordinated with metal oxide was synthesized to investigate the effect of metal oxide on the dispersity of metal powder in the polysiloxane/metal composite material. The metal powder in the polysiloxane/metal composite materials is better dispersed with metal oxide complex polysiloxane than the case without metal oxide. To understand the effect of quantities of metal oxide on the polysiloxane chain, the various polysiloxanes with different ratios of block unit were synthesized. Electrical conductivity was interpreted by percolation threshold theory to understand the dispersity of dense composite. The behavior of conductivity was in good agreement with theoretical value. The critical value was decreased as the quantities of metal oxide are increased. As a result, as the metal oxide increased on the polymer chain, the dispersity of metal filler was increased.

  • With the turn of the 21st century, corporate legitimacy is at risk. The society is demanding even greater responsibility to the corporations in return of exercising its enlarged influencing power. As the legitimacy is threatened, entrepreneurial activities have become even more important than ever in order to obtain trust from the public and to be accepted as an ethical enterprise. This study assumes corporate legitimacy as the necessary element in overcoming the crisis. With this respect, it further states what kind of effect the exercise of corporate reputation and social responsibility have on ensuring corporate legitimacy in crisis. To verify the purpose of this study, two research hypotheses and one research question were set. The major research results and the implications are as follows. First, the corporate reputation of Samsung Heavy Industries affects the corporate actional legitimacy in case of crisis. Second, recognition on corporate legitimacy varied in accordance with the public’s perception of the corporate social responsibility. Third, the interaction between corporate reputation and social responsibility plays a role in determining corporate legitimacy. This result denotes that it is necessary to exercise social responsibility and build up corporate reputation in order to obtain corporate legitimacy in crisis.

A Study on Electrostatic Potentials and Chemical Reactivities of Energetic Oxetanes (고에너지 함유 옥세탄류의 정전기 전위 및 화학 반응성 연구)

  • Energetic oxetane derivatives which undergo cationic polymerizations have been investigated theoretically by using ab initio HF/3-21G calculations. We have examined structures, charges, and molecular electrostatic potentials. The ring structure of oxetane has changed significantly due to (1) the introduction of large substituents in the ring or (2) the addition of either proton or BF3. This structural change is attributed to electrostatic interactions and/or steric repulsions. The nucleophilicity and basicity of oxetane derivatives can be explained by the negative charge and the minimum electrostatic potential value of O atom. The reactivity in the polymerization can be rationalized by (1) the basicity of O atom and (2) the difference between HOMO energy of oxetanes and LUMO energy of activated oxetane polymeric chains. Our calculations predict that 3-azidomethyl-3-methyl oxetane (AMMO) is more basic than 3-nitratomethyl-3-methyl oxetane (NMMO), and AMMO is more reactive toward both AMMO and NMMO polymeric chains. Our results are in good agreement with previous experimental data.

Analysis on the Images of Child and Adult Models in TV Commercial Advertisements (TV 상업 광고에 등장하는 어린이와 성인 모델의 이미지 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the images of children and adults that is reflected in TV commercial advertisements. For this purpose, 241 public TV advertisements were collected from the domestic ads information sites. The analysis criteria used for this study was the one modified from the ads analysis tool developed by Young-hee Ha(2011). The results showed that the number of ads employing the child model was varied according to the product item. The child model appeared the most in the ads for food/beverage and secondly, the ones for computer/electric home appliances. Furthermore, the child model behaved very similarly to the adults in the ads, especially in the aspect of positive communication. And both adult and a child models tended to have the main role in ads. Regarding the relationships among model characters, cooperative relationship between an adult and a child appeared the most and there were lots of family relationships. The results imply that a child in our society is becoming a considerable family member referred for making decision in purchasing commercial products. In addition, it is discussed that the child's image reflected in the ads would have influence on a child viewer's self image.

Molecular epidemiologic trends of norovirus and rotavirus infection and relation with climate factors: Cheonan, Korea, 2010-2019 (노로바이러스 및 로타바이러스 감염의 역학 및 기후요인과의 관계: 천안시, 2010-2019)

  • Background: Viral infection outbreaks are emerging public health concerns. They often exhibit seasonal patterns that could be predicted by the application of big data and bioinformatic analyses. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify trends in diarrhea-causing viruses such as rotavirus (Gr.A), norovirus G-I, and norovirus G-II in Cheonan, Korea. The identified related factors of diarrhea-causing viruses may be used to predict their trend and prevent their infections. Method: A retrospective analysis of 4,009 fecal samples from June 2010 to December 2019 was carried out at Dankook University Hospital in Cheonan. Reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) was employed to identify virus strains. Information about seasonal patterns of infection was extracted and compared with local weather data. Results: Out of the 4,009 fecal samples tested using multiplex RT-PCR (mRT-PCR), 985 were positive for infection with Gr.A, G-I, and G-II. Out of these 985 cases, 95.3% (n = 939) were under 10 years of age. Gr.A, G-I, and G-II showed high infection rates in patients under 10 years of age. Student's t-test showed a significant correlation between the detection rate of Gr.A and the relative humidity. The detection rate of G-II significantly correlated with wind-chill temperature. Conclusion: Climate factors differentially modulate rotavirus and norovirus infection patterns. These observations provide novel insights into the seasonal impact on the pathogenesis of Gr.A, G-I, and G-II.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm of address analysis for the next-generation networks. That is, we present integrated address analysis of the Numbering Plans of public telecommunication networks such as those of the ATM network. The purpose of implementing software for integrated address analysis is to actively and flexibly cope with a large change of information while operating the system and the network. By designing and implementing a database structure and an address analysis algorithm, interworking is possible among part (local) networks that each have a different Addressing Plan within an integrated network. Proposed relational model database structure has effect that do to manage address information of complicated network efficiently. Also, apply in real environment and proved excellency through interworking test to verify mechanism that propose.

  • Nowaday, the rapid progress toward an information- oriented society results in the regional disparity in information services. Especially, the subscribe lines in islands are not advanced due to the geographical factors and a small number of subscribe. The problem in the subscribe line deepens inequalities in the development between regions. The presents of network structure and operation of the island communication in Korea are analysed, and the methods to advance subscribe lines for islands are considered in this paper.

  • As appearing on the stage of social media which expands the private relations to the public relations, the Social Intelligence(SI) is made again prominent in our society. The Public Relations(PR) is in particular related to the SI which means the ability to get along well with other people and to encourage others to cooperate with oneself. It points out the necessity of the study with respect to the impact of SI on the choice of educational major and the adaptation of social media in PR, because the SI is one of the important aptitudes which students who major in Communication and PR would need for actual field. But the result of the research indicates that the SI does not influence the choice of educational major of the students who major in Communication and PR. To make those students go into high level of the SI, the students need the specific education which would enhance and reinforce their SI such as the SPACE Program developed by Albrecht and reorganization of curriculum in the education of Communication and PR. Besides, this study shows that the high level people actively use the social media, for example, Smartphone in order to keep their best relationships.
