Development of On-Line Measurement System for Adsorption Process (흡착공정용 온라인 측정시스템의 개발)

  • A simple measuring device is proposed, and its performance is examined in an adsorption process separating a gas mixture. The sensor is made of a quartz crystal resonator and solid adsorbent to detect the target component. Micro-particle carbon cryogel(MCC) is utilized as the adsorbent, and the gas mixture of air and i-butane are separated in a column containing bamboo activated carbon. Two devices are placed at the inlet and outlet of the column. The measurements are compared with those of GC outcome to prove the measurements are effective. The experimentally proved system is simple and capable to be implemented in an in-line system with on-line measurement.

  • We propose a new optimization framework for the reactive scheduling. The proposed rescheduling scheme is specially focused on how to generate rescheduling results when equipment failure occurs. The approach is based on a continuous-time problem representation that takes into account the schedule in progress, the updated information on the batches still to be processed, the present plant state, the deviations in plant parameters and the time data. To update the predictive scheduling, we used right shift rescheduling and total regeneration when equipment failure occurs. And, a practical solution to the rescheduling problem requires satisfaction of two often confliction measures: the efficiency measure that evaluates the satisfaction of a desired objective function value and the stability measure that evaluates the amount of change between the schedules before and after the disruption. In this paper, the efficiency is measured by the makespan of all jobs in the system. And, the stability is measured by the percentage change in makespan and the modified sequence deviation in the predictive scheduling and rescheduling.

  • Recently manufacturing companies have used PLC control programs popularly for their automated production systems. Since the life cycle of production process is not so long, the change of the production lines occur frequently. Most of changes happen with modification of the position information and control process of the equipment. PLC control program is also modified based on the fundamental process. Therefore, to verify new PLC program by configuring virtual space according to real environment is needed. In this paper we show a logical modeling method, based on Timed-FSA useful for sequence control and dead-lock prevention. There is a problem wasting user's labor and time when defining a variety of states in a device. To overcome this problem, we propose an extended I-O model based on existing methods by adding a token concept of Petri Nets. Also we will show the usability of the extended I-O modeling through user study.

A Study on the Modified Queue Management Scheme for Congestion Avoidance (폭주회피를 위한 개선된 큐 관리 기법에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a Modified RED algorithm for congestion avoidance in IP networks is presented. The RED detects incipient congestion by computing the average queue size. By notifying only a randomly selected fraction of connection, it causes to the global synchronization or fairness problem, And also, the network characteristics need to be known in order to find th optimum average queue length. When the average queue size exceeds a minimum threshold, a modified RED algorithm drops packets based on the state of each connection. Performance is improved because of keeping the average queue size low while allowing occasional bursts of packets in the queue, we compare performance of modified RED with RED and Drop Tail in terms of goodput, network utilization and fairness.

  • Spinning process to inner wall has been applied for reducing the weight of regenerative cooling chamber of liquid propellent rocket engine. The fractures of the blanks of cylinder part and nozzle throat part have been observed during spinning processes. In order to overcome the problem, the mandrel and the blank shape have been modified, and the inner wall was successfully manufactured through the modifications. The manufactured spinning prototype of nozzle throat part was successfully bulged without cracking and necking, and it was confirmed to secure sufficient formability necessary for fabricating thrust chamber.

  • Since multimedia data such as video and audio data are displayed within a certain time constraint, their computation and manipulation should be handled under limited condition. Traditional real-time scheduling algorithms could net be directly applicable, because they are not suitable for multimedia scheduling applications which support many clients at the same time. Rate Regulating Proportional Share Scheduling Algorithm is a scheduling algorithm considered the time constraint of the multimedia data. This scheduling algorithm uses a rate regulator which prevents tasks from receiving more resource than its share in a given period. But this algorithm loses fairness, and does not show graceful degradation of performance under overloaded situation, This paper proposes a new modified algorithm. namely Modified Proportional Share Scheduling Algorithm considering the characteristics of multimedia data such as its continuity and time dependency, Proposed scheduling algorithm shows graceful degradation of performance in overloaded situation and the reduction in the number of context switching, Furthermore, a new evaluation method is proposed which can evaluate the flexibility of scheduling algorithm.

  • 제품 기능의 고도화에 부응하여 요구되는 부품의 정밀도가 높아지고, 이러한 부품에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 형상 공차에 대한 관심과 활용은 증대되고 있다. 그러나 특히 3차원적 특성을 갖고 있는 원통도와 같은 형상 공차는 그 정의 자체가 내포하고 있는 문제점 및 측정기술의 한 계로 인하여 생상공정과의 직접적인 연결 및 활용에 큰 어려움이 있다. 따라서 원통도의 특성, 가공 형상에 영향을 미치는 인자 및 가공 공정과 가공형상과의 관계를 분석 . 종합한 결과를 기초로 하여 현재의 문제점들에 대처할 수 있는데 기본이 되는 세 가지 가정을 도출하였다. 이 러한 가정들을 이용하여 제안되는 새로운 검사공정은 검사 소요시간, 불량품 검출과 최종제품의 성능 및 신뢰도 확보 측면에서 효과적일 것으로 기대된다. 본문 중에서도 밝힌 바와 같이, 일부 가정은 그 타당성의 근거가 되는 연구 결과가 불충분하여 가능성만을 타진하였다. 따라서 이러한 분야에 대한 연구는 지속적으로 계속되어야 하며, 평면도와 같은 다른 형상공차에 대하여 제시된 방법론의 수정 적용 가능성도 검토되어야 할 것이다.

  • 습식 배연탈황 공정에서는 흡수탑 내에서의 황산화물 흡수율을 높일 목적으로 흡수탑으로 유입되는 배기가스를 약 5$0^{\circ}C$까지 냉각하고, 처리된 배기가스는 연돌에서의 자연 통풍력을 확보하고 연돌 배출 후 수분의 응축으로 인한 백연(white Plume)의 문제를 방지하고자 통상 9$0^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 가온하는 것이 일반적이며 이를 위해 다양한 형식의 열교환기가 설치 운영되고 있다. 탈황공정에서 흔히 GGH(gas to gas heater)라 불리는 Ljungstrom 방식의 열 교환기는 미처리된 고온가스와 처리된 저온 가스가 회전하는 열교환소자로 이루어진 영역을 지나면서 열 교환이 이루어지는 형태로 회전 부위 및 두 가스흐름의 구분 판(sector plate) 등에서 필연적으로 처리가스 흐름 중으로 미처리 가스의 누입이 일어나게 된다.
