Because the role of the teacher is important for the education to actualize the goals of the curriculum, the interest about the teacher's knowledges has been addressed as an important research topic. Among them, the pedagogical content knowledge is the knowledge that can emphasize the professionalism of the teacher. In this study, I analyzed the elementary pre-service teachers' the problem solving strategies that they imagined the methods that elementary school students can think about fraction division. Pre-service teachers who participated in this study were completed all of the mathematics education courses in the pre-service teachers' education courses. The research was conducted using the four type-problems of fraction division. The results showed that elementary pre-service teachers responded in the order of equal sharing problem-measurement division-partitive division-context of determination of a unit rate problem. They presented significant responses not only with typical algorithms but also with pictures or expressions. On the basis of this research, we have to take an interest in the necessity of sharing and recognizing various methods of fraction division in pre-service teachers education.

The purpose of this research is to arouse attention to the importance of eliminating the 'Shadow Encroaching Phenomena on the Essence' in advertising expression by interdisciplinarily applying ethicality. This research shows that when advertising expression is planned and executed without enough consideration of ethicality, short-term effectiveness to reach goals can be increased, but it is easy to induce an unintended 'Shadows' Boomerang Phenomena'. This research also proposes that such processes arouse consumers' ethical defense mechanisms, possibly causing the 'Shadow Encroaching Phenomena' in the end. In conclusion, this research proposes the following. First, the pursuit of commercial profit in a capitalistic society must be done under the premise of securing a consensus of ethicality in a common society. Second, under the premise of an integrated process of education, sharing, execution, and confirmation of ethicality, companies can achieve both the micro-practical goal of profit pursuit and the macro-environmental goal of ecological sympathy.

To construct seamless collaborative environments, what all participants intent should be delivered, and visual elements such gesture, facial expression, and ambiance should be shared with all participants. In this paper, we propose high-quality video service to support DV(digital video) and HDV(high-definition DV) based on Access Grid(AG) which is a prevalent collaborative system. The proposed service is designed for employing versatile media tools and codecs with SDP(session description protocol) and SAP(session announcement protocol). We also design network-adaptive video transmission module to mitigate the impact of network fluctuation. This periodically monitors multicast performance and controls frame rate on sender side considering network condition. The experimental results over the test bed show that proposed service enhances quality of AG video service and provides seamless high-quality video transport by mitigating the impact of network fluctuation.

This study reports pre-service teachers' problem solving process on the problem-based learning(PBL) employed in an elementary mathematics method course. The subjects were 6 pre-service teachers(students). The data were collected from classroom observation. The research results were described by problem solving stages. In understanding the problem stage, students identified what problem stand for and made a problem solving planned sheet. In curriculum investigation stage, students went through investigation and re-investigation process for solving the task. In problem solving stage, students selected the best strategy for solving the task and presented and shared about problem solving results.

Social network services such as Facebook and Flickr is a very useful service that was the foundation of the Internet. If a state in which the Internet is connected, music, photos, and us to be able to share it freely post such as documents. However, even when the digital information posted in such social network services the user has died, and have been published, it is also used for people who do not intend the bad purposes some problems can occur. Facebook is trying to apply the findings Jed R. Brubaker of UC Irvine University in order to solve this problem. However, in Korea, such efforts, not much appears for now. Therefore, we proposed a method that can be managed by delegated Facebook, safely a Delegator digital information posted on social networking services such as Flickr. Our proposed system, as compared with Jed R. Brubaker and Jeong-Kyung Moon is executed previous studies, we studied a method proposed by the appropriate compensates points shortage is passed through the future research. And I consider to have been proposed a method to safely use posted digital assets in a social network service.

Recently multimedia has been formed, provided, and shared enough not to compare with the past, due to the proliferation of Internet and the development of hardware relating to multimedia. Accordingly to internationally give a proper expression to metadata of multimedia, the standard of MPEG-7 has been established, and researches for image search among various data of multimedia using MPEG-7 are going on. Thus there are meaning-based search. In the former there is a merit that search speed is fast, but technology and accuracy by technical knowledge on the image. In the latter the accuracy of search is decreasing because of not understanding the meaning about image and the internet of users. In this study to solve these problems a search system has been designed by combining the two methods. Also the search and manage image data by handheld devices such as portable PDA or smart phone, a system. Once this is used, multimedia data can be efficiently searched and utilized by handheld devices.

With an exponential growth of blogs, lots of important data have appeared on blogs. However, since main topics mentioned in blog pages are quite different from general web pages, there are problems which can't be solved by general search engines. Therefore, many researchers have studied searching methods only for blogs to help users who want to have useful information on blog. We also present a blog classifying method based on similarity of titles. First, we analyze blogs and blog search engines to find problems and solution of current blog search. Second, applying our similarity algorithm on blog titles, we discuss a way to develop clustering method only for blog. Finally, by making a prototype system of our algorithm, we evaluate our algorithm's effectiveness and show conclusion and future work. We expect this algorithm could add its power to current search engine.

Recently, users can get countless images and videos by network. So, the compression technology of image and video is researched more and more. However, the situation which is the interested range of the image is occurred. For instance, since the region of face is more important than background, the image compression technology bases on the region of interest (ROI) is necessary, in the ATM environment. In this research, given the human visual system, which are not sensitive to illumination variations at very dark and light regions of image, we calculate the standard deviation of block and use this value to define the ROI. In encoding process, the relatively high quality can be obtained at the ROI and the relatively low quality can be obtained at the non ROI. In proposed scheme, the feature which is the encoding process according to subjectively image quality can be demonstrated. Finally, this proposed scheme is applied to JPEG standard. The experimental results demonstrate that proposed scheme can achieve better image quality at the high compression ratio.

Information in UbiComp Environment are transformed to knowledge by relationship in a spatio-temporal location, and then became intelligent contents with task procedures or application models. The entities in U-City has lots of relationships. It is important in U-City contents to provide intelligent and personalized response to meet the intention of users. We extend the spatial ontology model of SPIRIT to other domain. Domain ontologies are consist of type, relation, and instance ontologies. When the relationship model by shared concepts are not defined, we used the spatio-temporal events to find relationships. So we proposed the methods to recommend semantically related terms, not syntactically.

Our society has been dominated by the Dilemma Theory that rational individuals cannot get out of the 'Tragedy of the Commons' without helps from state or market. However, many empirical researches have discovered cases that common pool resources could be managed by cooperative methods of community. Based on the possibility of managing common pool resources by residents' cooperation/solidarity revealed by the recent case researches, this study aims to seek for the theoretical basis to prove it. Generally, public policies are carried forward based on the theoretical basis of the relevant social issues. The objective of this study is to suggest the new direction of policies related to domestic common resources through the researches on community's role in managing local common pool resources represented as "scenic spot". For this, it aims to reveal the influence of community activity on behavioral intention of local common pool resources, by drawing/quantitatively measuring measurement items of local residents' community activity on top of attitude, norms, and behavioral control suggested by the existing Theory of Planned Behavior. The results of this study are as follows; 4 factors such as attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, perceived behavior control, and community activity were all factors that influenced intention to manage.
