Design of Charging Platform for an Electric Vehicle using Electric Pole to support Location-Based Services (LBS 서비스를 제공하는 전주를 이용한 전기차 충전 플랫폼의 설계 제안)

  • As the demand of electric vehicles has been increased recently, their related industries are developing. In particular, the market of electric vehicles charging infrastructure is expanding rapidly and users have much demand in convenience of electric vehicles charging site. Because an charging site using electric pole of KEPCO can make use of that installed nearby public parking lots, there are many commercial construction and convenient facilities near around it. In this situation, users can do shopping or their personal business during charging. In this paper, we proposed the design of charging platform for electric vehicles to support LBS for users to do shopping or personal business conveniently.

A Method of Constructing Robust Descriptors Using Scale Space Derivatives (스케일 공간 도함수를 이용한 강인한 기술자 생성 기법)

  • Requirement of effective image handling methods such as image retrieval has been increasing with the rising production and consumption of multimedia data. In this paper, a method of constructing more effective descriptor is proposed for robust keypoint based image retrieval. The proposed method uses information embedded in the first order and second order derivative images, in addition to the scale space image, for the descriptor construction. The performance of multi-image descriptor is evaluated in terms of the similarities in keypoints with a public domain image database that contains various image transformations. The proposed descriptor shows significant improvement in keypoint matching with minor increase of the length.

  • 기초세굴에 따른 교각에서의 1차 모드 고유진동수 변화를 이용하여 교량 세굴 건전성을 정량적으로 평가하기 위하여 공용중인 광탄1교의 T형 교각 1기에 대하여 충격진동실험을 수행하였으며, 교축직각방향의 1차 모드 고유진동수를 수치해석결과와 비교하였다. 교량 상부구조물의 모델링 방법에 따라 상부구조물을 전체 모델링한 방법과 교각만을 모델링하고 상부구조물의 영향범위를 가정하여 교량받침 위치에 질점질량으로 변환하여 적용한 방법으로 구분하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 상부구조물을 전체 모델링한 경우와 집중하중 형태로 상부구조물을 모델링한 경우 모두 고유진동수는 충격진동실험결과와 큰 차이를 보였다. 충격진동실험을 통해 얻은 고유진동수는 교각의 국부적인 진동수로 사료되는 반면, 수치해석을 통해 구한 결과는 교량 상부와 하부의 Coupling 효과가 반영된 시스템 전체의 고유진동수이기 때문에 결과의 큰 편차가 생기는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 충격진동실험에서 구한 고유치 양상을 올바로 구현하기 위한 모델링을 찾기 위해서는 새로운 접근 방법이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • This paper deals with the method will be able to support a common interface softly for the different with each other operating system users in next generation ubiquitous network. To controls in proxy servers that data portion be able to use commonly such as each different instruction, metaphor, image based on operating system, icons, it will be able to increases the efficiency of bandwidth use and minimizes a duplication transmission data from inside the bandwidth which is limited. Also it will be able to do method of common user interface provision to support seamless connectivity with each different network devices in the next generation.

Selection of Long-Term Pavement Performance Sections for Development of Distress Prediction Model in National Asphalt Pavement (국도 아스팔트 포장 파손예측모델 개발을 위한 장기 관측 구간 선정에 관한 연구)

  • Special pavement test sections were selected to develop a distress prediction model on asphalt pavement of National Highway. Experimental design was conducted for the selection of LTPP sections on in-service pavement(new and overlaid pavement) using several variables affecting pavement performance. Preliminary sections that satisfied the design template were chosen from the national highway database, and final selection was fixed through field inspection. The number of monitoring section is 95 including 47 overlaid pavement. A pavement distress data such as crack and rutting were collected for two years. An interim pavement performance analysis was peformed to show feasibility of performance monitoring program. Data related pavement such as traffic, weather, material characteristic and crack etc. should be collected for next project years and distress prediction model will be developed through the statistical analysis.

  • IaaS is well known as a very cost effective computing service which enables required infrastructures to be rented on demand without ownership of real hardwares. It is very suitable for price sensitive services due to pay-per-use style. Operators of such services would want to adjust utilization policy quickly by estimating costs for cloud infrastructures as soon as possible. However, swift response is not possible due to that cloud service providers provide a dozen or so hours delayed billing information. Our work proposes a realtime IaaS cost estimation model based on usages monitored by virtual machine instance. We operate PC laboratory service on a public cloud during full semester to validate our suggested model. From that experiment, an averaged disparity between estimation and actual cost is less than 5.2%.

  • Drones, which have rapidly grown along with the 4th industrial revolution, spread over industries and also widely used for military purposes. In recent wars in Europe, drones are being evaluated as a game changer on the battlefield, and their importance for military use is being highlighted. The Republic of Korea Army also planned drone-bot systems including various drones suitable for echelons and missions of the military as future defense forces. The keyword of these drone-bot systems is autonomy by artificial intelligence. In addition, common use of operating platforms is required for the rapid development of various types of drones. In this paper, we propose software framework that applies diverse artificial intelligence technologies such as multi-agent system, cognitive architecture and knowledge-based context reasoning for mission autonomy and common use of military drones.

Steel Design of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement based on the Width of Transverse Crack (횡방향 균열 폭에 기초한 연속철근 콘크리트포장의 철근설계)

  • The steel design based on the width of transverse crack which is the major factor to affect a long-term performance of continuously reinforced concrete pavement was developed. For this study, twenty-one cities of Texas were selected and the temperature data was collected at those locations during the past ten years. From the data, zero-stress temperatures were calculated by the PavePro program and the widths of transverse crack were analyzed by the CRCP program. The variables used to this numerical analysis were slab thickness, coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete, steel ratio, and design temperature. The total of 448 factorial runs were made and the regression analysis was performed using the results. Steel ratios from the regression equations were backcalculated and a steel design table was proposed.

  • From the optimal system specifications of optical parts in rear projection TV focused on competitive price and performances, we designed and developed projection lens which is able to be used on current broadcast standard NTSC and HDTV in common. Through the serial processes, which are initial design of all aberrations free, aspherization of the plastic lenses, optimization with tolerances and manufacturability, and athermalization, the lens was designed. The developed CRT-lens ass'y could display the 40-55 inches image and it's resolution is more than 1000 TV-lines.

  • 포장도로는 신설된 후 계속적인 차량의 통행과 기후 조건의 변화등으로 시 간이 경과함에 따라서 그 상태가 저하된다. 따라서 포장도로는 일정기간이 지난 후에는 쾌적한 차량의 통행을 보장하기 위하여 유지보수를 실시하여야 한다. 이러한 유지보수를 효율적이고 과학적으로 수행하는 것은 대단히 중요 하다. 미국과 같은 선진국의 경우 도로 신설의 투자비 보다 유지보수에 사용 되는 예산이 더 많아지고 있는데 효율적인 유지관리 시스템의 개발로 투자 비를 적정화하고자 하는 노력이 크게 증가되고 있다. 도로 포장 구조체가 도 로 이용자에게 어느 정도의 안전성, 쾌적성 및 신속성을 제공하고 있는가를 평가하는 것은 포장관리의 중요한 고려사항이며 그 결과는 포장의 공용성 개념으로 표현된다. 포장상태 조사시 포함되는 항목들은 포장유지관리 시스 템을 운용하는 기관마다 약간씩 차이는 있으나 대체로 노면조도, 노면장애, 구조적 능력, 미끄럼저항등이다. 이중 진동계측장비가 많이 사용되는 항목은 노면조도와 구조적 능력평가 부분으로서 이 두 항목에 포함되는 진동 계측 장비와 그 이용방법에 관해서 논하고자 한다.
