A Study on the Design of a charnel house for an Effective Use of the National Land (효율적인 국토이용을 위한 묘지조형물 디자인에 관한 연구)

  • It is already a well-known fact, that Korean attend the funeral ceremonies with their courteous etiquette being derived from their customs succeeded from the old ancient times to the contemporary one, regarding it as of great importance. Especially in the age of Lee Dynasty, the etiquette has been a way of Confucian ideas, which has exerted a harmful influences to Korean society due to the reflection of the dutiful conciousness to the tomb customs, and that the change of the burial site and its construction works became more and more serious and excessive. In the meantime, the population has been increased according to the development of the modern industrialization and the number of the dead has also been increased, which caused the issue on the effective use of the limited national land relating to the tomb culture, as the passing of the time. Consequently, in this study on the design of the charnel house, three aspects, humane aspect pursuing the human value, like naturalism or equalitarianism, circumstancial aspect presenting minimum space and convenient space, and formative aspect expressing convenient space, and formative aspect expressing convenient charnel function, unique form and symbolism, have been considered, in order that the tomb space could be transferred to the place for the meditation looking back the meaning of the life, or the place for the comfort. Above all, the special emphasis has been put on the creation of the tomb culture, harmonizing relaxation, exercise and refinement in everyone's life. And in order to realize it, the special interest and investment should be directed not only to the materialistic culture caused from the whole hearted devotion to the development for advancing society, but to the related parts to the value of the life or spiritual culture, such a sideology, culture or environment etc., which would be led to the entrance to the real advaced country members.

Field Application of RFID for the Cavity Maintenance of Under Pavement (도로하부 공동의 유지관리를 위한 RFID의 현장 적용성 평가)

  • Purpose: The cavity exploration of the lower part of the road is carried out to prevent ground-sinking. However, the detected communities cannot be identified by the cavity location and history information, such as repackaging the pavement. Therefore, the field applicability of RFID systems was evaluated in this study to enable anyone to accurately identify information. Method: During temporary recovery, tag recognition distance and recognition rate were measured according to underground burial materials and telecommunication tubes using RFID systems with electronic tag chips attached to the bottom of the rubber cap. Result: The perceived distance and perceived rate of depth for each position of the electron tag did not significantly affect the depth up to 15cm, but it did have some effect if the depth was 20cm. In addition, water effects from nearby underground facilities and rainfall are relatively small, and the effects of wind will need to be considered during the weather conditions of the road. Conclusion: The RFID tags for field application of the pavement management system store various information such as location and size of cavity, identification date, cause of occurrence, and surrounding underground facilities to maximize cavity management effect with a system that can be computerized and mobile utilization.

  • 영산강 하구언 방조제의 건설로 인한 항만 및 이의 인접해역 해면의 변화는 예상한 바 있으며 실제 여러개소에서 월 2회정도의 주기로 목포 구항부근 상업지역에서 해면상승에 따라 주기적으로 침수되는 현상이 나타나고 있다 목포항의 영산강 하구언 방조제 조성으로 인한 조류성분중 최고기록을 가진 수로에서는 6kts 정도로 감소된 것으로 보고되고 있으나 주위자연환경 변화에 따른 수면 상승 및 해수면의 주기적인 변화 등에 대한 상세한 언급 및 깊이 있는 분석은 회피되어왔다. 수자원의 효율적관리를 위해 하구언 방조제는 이미 건설되었고 앞으로 대규모의 항만개발과 대불산업단지조성을 위해 추가 3개의 만입해안해역에 댐으로 해역을 막아 매립공사를 추진하고 있다 그러나 이 지역에 대한 분석은 타당성의 여부만을 강조한 상업적 용역이 이루어지고 있고 장래 개발에 대해 학술적이고 실질적인 문제점 추출과 해결방아네 대해서는 무시하거나 경시한 바가 많다 더구나 태풍 저기압 등과 같은 자연재해를 고려한 분석은 시도되지 못하고 있다 따라서 개발전후의 현상에 대한 상세한 자료 및 현장 조사와 극한 상태를 고려하여 개발에 따른 수위상승 부진동, 조류 수질등 이해역의 변화요소를 수집하고 분석하며 과학적 접근방법에 기초를 둔 수치모델의 실험을 포함하여 현장관측 및 측정자료를 검증하는 것이 필수적이라고 사료되어 종합분석의 한단계로 여기서는 하구언 및 하구간척(Land Reclamatic of Estuary barren)으로 해역축소에 따른 해면변화의 실제현상을 조사하여 정리하고 이를 수치모델을 통해 시뮬레이션하여 보았다 이는 종합개발의 좋은 기초자료로 이용됨은 물론이로 이지역의 개발에 기여할 것으로본다.적절하게 가정된 지반의 응력-변형률 관계와 간극수압특성에 의하여 고려되었다. 그 결과 응력 및 변위가 심하게 발생하는 지역은 황색 점토층이었으며 이로부터 황색 점토층에서 부터 파괴면이 생성되어 다른 지역으로 전파되었음을 유추할 수 있었다.form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions.   • This paper is intended to solve the technical problem that fails in large-capacity induction motor starting due to serious voltage drop during starting period. One induction motor that is established already can reach in steady-state using reactor starting method but the voltage magnitude of PCC (point of common coupling) has dropped down a little. When the same capacity induction motor is installed additionally in the PCC, where the existing induction motor is operating, voltage drop becomes more serious by starting of additional induction motor. As a result, the additional induction motor fails in starting. Therefore, voltage compensation method is proposed so that all of two induction motors can be started completely. First, modeling technique is described in order to implement starting characteristics of large induction motor. And then, this paper proposes strategic starting scheme by proper voltage compensation that use no-load transformer tap control (NLTC) and step voltage regulator (SVR) for starting of two large induction motors successfully and improving the feeding network voltage profile during the starting period. The induction motor discussed in this paper is the pumped induction motor of 2500kVA capacity that is operating by KOWACO (Korea Water Resources Corporation). Modeling and simulation is conducted using PSCAD/EMTDC software.

Perception Analysis between Consumers and Experts to solutions about unsold housing in the Metropolitan area of South Korea (수도권 미분양 주택 감소방안에 대한 수요자와 전문가 의식분석)

  • Currently the number of unsold housing is rapid increasing over again in the Seoul Metropolitan area. So this research analyzed effective and possible solutions focus on the potential customers and professionals. There was a research method setting up alternative solutions from the existing researches and the other suggestions though FGI (Focus Group Interview) by professionals. And then it investigated the efficient ways to resolve those problems through Conjoint Analysis. According to the result of this paper, firstly the customers considered 'financial supports', 'self-rescue efforts for construction companies' and 'taxation support' than the other. On the other hand, professionals evaluated 'publicly purchased housing' and 'new housing policies' were more essential solutions besides, both of them recognized the importance of ;financial support'. Secondly there were some ideas that it was necessary to more less control LTV (Loan to Value ratio) and DIT ( Debt to Income) and the LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) buy unsold housing. Finally the government and housing association had to manage and intervene the supply of housing within metropolitan area and restrict to building new properties and the construction companies actively provide less strict standard terms and conditions in contract for purchasing housing for instance, the decline of housing sale price or interest-free and so on.

Infill-system Development for Long-Life Housing with Durability & Flexibility: Focused on the Constructing and Evaluating Application of Mock-up House (내구성 및 가변성을 갖는 장수명 공동주택의 가변요소 시스템 개발 : 실험주택 건립 및 적용성 평가를 중심으로)

  • This research aims to develop various infill-systems for practically applying to long-life housing with 100-year durability and flexibility as a strategy for realizing sustainable residential environment. Especially, the developed infill-systems & technologies were concentrated to the mock-up house applied with the standard model of long-life housing, and their in-situ applicability by a phase, experts' consultation, and questionnaire survey were also evaluated. This research was executed to divide by 3 phases. In the First phase infill-systems for a housing unit of $84m^2$ exclusive use area as well as a support of whole structure and infill-systems including dry wall, and windows were constructed, and their in-situ applicability were evaluated. In the Second phase vertical integration of upper and lower housing units of $50m^2$ and $40m^2$ exclusive use area was investigated the first in domestic for 3 housing units of $50m^2$ exclusive use area. In addition, various infill-systems including the horizontal expansion of $50m^2$ and $10m^2$ exclusive use areas were also constructed and evaluated on their in-situ applicability. In the third phase diverse performance tests and field investigation for in-situ verifying of dry Ondol, developed this research, were executed to improve their practicability. Inner dry walls were taken apart, moved and re-constructed for verifying their practicability to investigate 3R-Reduce, Reuse and Recycle-realization too.

Analyzing the Productivity of Korean Rail Transit Authorities: A Nonparametric Malmquist Approach (한국 도시철도 운영기관의 생산성 : 비모수적 Malmquist 접근법에 의한 분석)

  • Using data envelopment analysis, this paper annually estimates Malmquist total factor productivity indices and decomposes them into productive efficiency change, technical change, and scale change components for three publicly-owned rail transit properties: the Seoul Subway Corporation(SSC), the Seoul Metropolitan Electrified Railways Sector of Korea National Railroad (SMESRS) and the Busan Urban Transit Authority (BUTA). The paper then conceptualizes that the property produces a single output(car-kilometers) using four inputs(labor, electricity, car and maintenance, and track) and uses unbalanced panel data consisted of annual observations on SSC, SMESRS and BUTA. The results show that the average annual growth rate of productivity of the three properties is 6.6 percent, which is 0.5 percent less than the average annual increasing rate of their labor price. They also show that the greatest part of the growth in productivity is explained by technical change and to a lesser degree by scale change and changes in productive efficiency though each of the three components contributes more than 20 percent to the growth in productivity, These results suggest that the three properties should base the increasing rate of their wages on the growth rate of their productivity and utilize existing technologies more efficiently prior to introducing new ones to raise their productivity, and that all the three components should be considered to evaluate their productivity more correctly.

Herbal Flora and Succession of Stream Under Management Conditions After its Restoration - Case Study of Yangjaecheon in Seoul - (자연형 하천 복원공사 이후 식생관리에 의한 초본 식물상과 천이 - 서울시 양재천 사례 연구 -)

  • This study was conducted to examine the change of flora and plant species diversity between 2005 and 2010 in Yangjaecheon (stream) which was divided among three different types of vegetation management method; ecological vegetation management (weeding vines and invasive plants; EVM), plant cultivation (PC) and uncared for vegetation (UC). There were total 478 taxa, composed by 429 spontaneous taxa and 49 cultivated taxa in 2005 and total 424 taxa composed by 318 spontaneous taxa and 106 cultivated taxa in 2010. In spontaneous plants, 201 taxa were distributed over total area, 197 taxa were distributed in only EVM area, 10 taxa in only PC area and 59 taxa in only UC area. Also, the most dominant family (Asteraceae${\rightarrow}$Poaceae) and number of rare taxa (reduced) and wide distributed taxa (increased) was changed from 2005 to 2010. The rate of perennial taxa was found to be increased in only EVM area. In conclusion, EVM is thought to be a more efficient method for plant species diversity of restored stream.

Efficient Construction Method of Topographic Data for Flood Mapping Using Digital Map (수치지형도를 활용한 홍수지도 제작용 지형자료의 효과적인 구축방법 연구)

  • Korea Water Resources Corporation carried out LiDAR survey to construct detailed terrain data for flood mapping and it is expected that much money is required in flood mapping of all over the country. Therefore, it is desirable to use NGIS digital map to construct preliminary modelling data for selection of flood mapping area. And the analysis of DEM error with respect to scale of digital map is necessary for the sake of applying digital map as the input data of flood mapping. We compared DEM from digital map with DEM from LiDAR survey. Especially we analyzed DEM error characteristics that is occurred with respect to the interpolation method that is used to construct DEM from TIN of digital map. As a result of analysis, digital map(1:1,000) showed smaller error than digital map(1:5,000) and DEM applying linear interpolation showed smaller error than DEM applying quintic interpolation. Especially, variation of DEM error by cell resolution was evaluated as very slight because urban district was composed of gentle slope.

  • Currently the IoT (Internet of Things) environments and related technologies are being developed rapidly through the networks for connecting many intelligent objects. The IoT is providing artificial intelligent services combined with context recognition based knowledge and communication methods between human and objects and objects to objects. With the help of IoT technology, many research works are being developed using the C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport System) which uses road infrastructure and traveling vehicles as traffic control infrastructures and resources for improving and increasing driver's convenience and safety through two way communication such as bus-only lane and license plate recognition and road accidents, works ahead reports, which are eventually for advancing traffic effectiveness. In this paper, a system for deciding whether the traveling vehicle is possible or not to drive on bus-only lane in highway is researched using the lane and number plate recognition on the road in C-ITS traffic infrastructure environments. The number plates of vehicles on the straight ahead and sides are identified after the location of bus-only lane is discovered through the lane recognition method. Research results and experimental outcomes are presented which are supposed to be used by traffic management infrastructure and controlling system in future.
