  • In this study we examined the topic analysis and correlation analysis by text mining to extract meaningful information or rules from the self introduction letter of freshman at Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries in 2020. The analysis items are described in items related to 'academic' and 'in-school activities' during high school. In the text mining results, the keywords of 'academic' items were 'study', 'thought', 'effort', 'problem', 'friend', and the key words of 'in-school activities' were 'activity', 'thought', 'friend', 'club', 'school' in order. As a result of the correlation analysis, the key words of 'thinking', 'studying', 'effort', and 'time' played a central role in the 'academic' item. And the key words of 'in-school activities' were 'thought', 'activity', 'school', 'time', and 'friend'. The results of frequency analysis and association analysis were visualized with word cloud and correlation graphs to make it easier to understand all the results. In the next study, TF-IDF(Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency) analysis using 'frequency of keywords' and 'reverse of document frequency' will be performed as a method of extracting key words from a large amount of documents.

  • This study examines changes and educational differences in parental time spent in childcare. Based on time diary data 1999-2009, it finds as follows. First, compared to 1999, parental time spent in childcare has increased in 2009. Unlike the tendency of convergence of time spent in childcare by sex in US, differences by sex have increased in Korea. Second, those who are highly educated tend to spend more time with children than their counterparts. For preschool aged children, parental time spent in physical care and playing has significantly increased by educational level. For school aged children, those who are highly educated are more likely than those who have lower level of education to help with children's study. Third, compared to 1999, time for leisure and economic activity has decreased in 2009 whereas time for commute, sleep, and care for others has increased.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of environmental factors on 380 children's unaided visual acuity and to determine the visual acuity and objective refraction error of these children. The unaided visual acuity and objective refraction error were measured by the TOPCON chart projector and refractometer on 147 kindergarteners and 233 primary school children ranging from age 5 to 12. The measurement on the unaided visual acuity of children were 3% for below the 0.1 visual acuity 9% for 0.1~0.4. 18% for 0.5~0.7. 16% for 0.8~0.9. and 54% for over 1.0 visual acuity respectively. The refractive errors were 9.35% for mixed astigmatism. 14.5% for hyperopia 75.88% for myopia. and 0.27% for emmetropia. respectively. When analyzing the environmental factors. the relationship between the children's visual acuity and the number of hours the children watched TV. the more hours they watched TV. the more the children lost their visual acuity. The visual acuity of children decreased abruptly in the groups that watched TV more than 4 hour a day. When comparing the relationship between the children's visual acuity and proximity to the TV, the further away from the TV they were the higher visual acuity. There is rna relation between the children's visual acuity and the studying hour or reading hour of children. The relationship between the children's visual acuity and their dwelling environment, the visual acuity of children who lived in an independent house were better than the visual acuity of children who dwelled in an apartment.

  • This study was conducted in order to identify the present condition of caffeinated drinks intake including energy drink. Concretely, It was investigated about stress degree, study attitude, sleeping hours by intake degree of caffeinated drinks. Descriptive survey research was designed. A total of 371 students in M university was participated. Data were collected through a questionnaire (from October 22, 2012. to October 26, 2012). The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, scheffe's test, using the SPSS version 17.0. There were no significant differences between caffeinated drinks intake's degree including energy drink. Most of students thought caffeinated drinks intake have an effect on their health. Intake time of caffeinated drinks was before or after studying or sleepy. Caffeinated drinks intaked mostly alone. Intake causes of canned coffee or energy drink was sleepy and coffee mix, black coffee, coffee flavored milk and green tea was good taste. Stress degree, study attitude, sleeping hours by intake degree of caffeinated drinks were no significant effects between canned coffee, coffee mix, black coffee, green tea and energy drink. But, stress degree by intake degree of coffee flavored milk was significant low when it intakes more than once a day, sleeping hours was significant long when it was nondrinking.

  • The WGS conversion project of cadastral drawing (promoted by the Ministry of Land) is not able to reflect the cadastral registration due to subtle differences such as area and location. When converting the digital cadastral region to the world geodetic system, the boundary point coordinates must be changed to the legal coordinate units. However, there is a phenomenon that occurs in which the minute area changes do not coincide with the area registered in the cadastral registration when the coordinate unit is changed. In this study, we have developed a method to adjust many parcels collectively by applying a passive fine-tuning method used in cadastral resurvey project to solve these problems. Total 1, total 2+1, interval 1, interval 2+1, etc. were classified based on the number of parcels that need to be considered for the range of adjustment and the area condition. The analysis of the experimental area (after developing SW for comparison of each method) showed that the total 2+1 method is suitable for the location accuracy and the interval 2+1 method is suitable for the temporal efficiency.

  • The trend of studying is changing, and it is not a place to study but also a new cultural environment. The study cafe, which is relatively free and comfortable compared to a stuffy library or reading room, is suitable for an unmanned system that can generate greater profits by reducing labor costs. However, the system that can manage this systematically is still insufficient and needs to be supplemented. In this paper, we developed an Android application that integrates the unattended study cafe and provides convenience to users through additional functions. The user and the manager are separated so that the user can use the desired study cafe in the corresponding region through reservation and inquiry of the seat. The manager manages seats and members and allows the outside of the cafeteria to check the current situation. In addition, community and noise measurements and member time visualization capabilities have been added to enhance application utilization.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between science achievement and student-related variables in the 2006 National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA), the subjects of which included 3% of students within the entire population of the grades 6, 9 and 10. The results showed that the more they talk with parents, study by themselves, and read the books, the higher the students achieved in science. The science achievement was also significantly and positively related to self-regulated learning, adaptation to school life and attitude toward science. It is implied that the approach of stimulating internal motive such as interest, attitude toward science and human relations is more effective in resulting in the students' higher science achievement than focusing on external attitudes such as forcing good study habits.
