A Study on the Preservation Programs in Libraries and Archives (도서관 및 기록관 자료보존프로그램에 관한 고찰)

  • Deterioration and brittleness of resources on the shelves of institutions such as libraries and archives have been increased and accelerated as time passes in accordance with the preservation environment and the nature of their own material. It can be a loss of current information with little importance in prolong the life of valuable materials and to preserve them in security, integrated preservation programs should be developed and implemented according to missions, sizes, the nature of collections, users, and budgets of individual institutions. In reality, most institutions, however, are not able to implement perfect preservation programs due to lack of budget, human resources, and expertise. To solve this problem, some institutions in similar circumstances have planned cooperative preservation programs in various levels. Through cooperative systems individual institutions can not only pursue common interests but gain real benefits for themselves. Consequently institutions are recommended to collaborate with in development and implementation of various preservation programs at local, national, and international levels in addition to individual institutional programs.

  • The aim of this research is to examine patterns of design governance used by Northern European countries to respond to social crises and understand design governance as a tool for sophistication of social services and social integration. Design governance as applied in Sitra of Finland, MindLab of Denmark and the Gulliver project of Germany encourages using design methodology for analyzing and solving problems related to social phenomena based on involvement of the private, public, industrial, and academic groups. Especially, the citizens are actively involved in developing problem-solving ideas and designing new policy with other governance members, rather than simply providing information or one-time participation. In the cases discussed in this study, design governance reduce unnecessary administrative and financial consumption and inconvenience caused by complicated rules, based on field-oriented approach, regional characteristics, pluralism, and respect for diversity. Therefore, future design policy paradigm will need to evolve into concept of policy design and pluralistic monitoring centered on design governance based on participation of private sector to lead policy development, from the current system in which only few officials decide policy.

Monitoring System For The Subway Structures Using Prestrained FBG Sensors Fixed With Partially Stripped Fibers (부분탈피 고정방식 프리스트레인 가변형 광섬유격자센서를 이용한 지하철 구조물 변위 모니터링시스템)

  • A monitoring system for the subway structures using prestrained FBG sensors fixed with partially stripped fibers was developed. The sensor packages had pre-strain controllable fixtures. Tensile and compressive strain of the structure could be measured without slip. The FBG sensor system was applied to the concrete lining structure in Taegu subway. Near the structure, the narrow tunnel construction, for the electric power cables and telecommunication cables, started. We wanted to measure the deformations of the subway structures due to the construction by the FBG sensor. The applied sensors had the gauge length of 1 meter to overcome the inhomogeneity of the concrete material with enough length. In order to fix tightly to the structure, the partially stripped parts of the sensor glued to the package and slip phenomenon between fiber and acrylate jacket was prevented. Prestrain of the sensor was imposed by controlling the two fixed points with bolts and nuts in order to measure compressive strain as well as tensile strain. The behavior of subway lining structure could be monitored very well.

  • As Internet usages proliferate, the interests on cyber space and virtual community increase. The purpose of this study is to find the role of cognitive absorption as an intermediate variable. It is a variable that links factors that affect on members' usage of virtual community and cognitive absorption. The result of this study shows that challenges, skills, perceived reality, and needs affect the usage of virtual community through cognitive absorption, while only interactivity affects the usage of virtual community directly. This shows that cognitive absorption plays an important role in the usage of virtual community. The major contribution in this study is that cognitive absorption influences on the usage of virtual community greatly. If there is a way to increase the intensity of cognitive absorption, it will strongly help increase the performance of virtual community.

Waterjet Propulsion Model Experiment for Catamaran Ship (쌍동선의 워터제트 추진 모형시험)

  • A screw propeller is usually accepted as a propulsor of many kinds of ships. However, for high speed vessels, screw propeller has large cavitation area on the blades so propeller efficiency is decreased and erosion can be happened. To avoid this problem, supercavitating propeller and waterjet are generally used for high speed vessels. In this paper, we introduced the self-propulsion test procedure which has been developed for high speed vessels in Hyundai Maritime Research Institute. The model ship used in experiment represents catamaran about 5.3 m in length. To minimize the experimental errors, two impellers were driven by a single motor. Thrust was calculated by converting the measured pressure to flow rates at the nozzle exit. The test procedure is composed of resistance test, self propulsion test and analysis. In order to measure the pressure, pressure tabs were installed around the nozzle exit and connected to the pressure sensor by vinyl tube.

Fundamental Structure of Knowledge in Nursing (간호학의 기본 지식 구조)

  • 오늘날은 과학문명의 발달로 인하여 기존지식의 수명이 점차 짧아져 가고있는 것이 특징이다. 지식의 증가는 단순히 지식의 양을 증가시키는 역할뿐 아니라 많은 기존지식을 불충분하고 쓸모 없는 것으로 바꿔버리게 한다. 그러므로 학교에서는 학생들에게 어떤 특정지식의 축척보다는 그 학문에 내재해 있는 기본적인 지식의 구조를 학습하게 하여 여러 가지 개념을 관련시키는 논리적 방법을 학습하게 하고 합리적인 탐구방법을 구사할 수 있도록 하여 변화하는 미지의 세계에 대처해 나갈 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 간호학의 기본 지식구조를 확인하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 하게 된 동기는 간호업무의 근거로 활용도리 지식체계는 교육과정의 조직원리로 작용될 유형이나 구조를 지니고 있으며 이런 유형이나 구조를 중심으로 간호교육과정을 구성하는 것이 간호교육에 필수적이라는 문제에서 비롯되었다. 연구방법은 1982년 9월부터 1983년 5월에 걸쳐 간호학 문헌을 체계적으로 분석하여 간호학의 개념적 지식구조와 구문적 지식구조를 확인하였다. 그 결과 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 간호학의 개념적 구조: 모든 학문에는 탐구의 대상인 특수현상을 설명하고 서술하는데 활용되는 일련의 실질적, 개념적 구조를 가지고 있다. 그러나 그 학문의 중요한 부분 또는 중심을 포함하고 있는 개념들이 그 분야 또는 학문의 개략이라고 할 수 있는데 연구결과 간호학에서 가장 높은 순위의 대표적 특질을 지닌 개념은 인간, 건강, 환자/대상자, 간호, 행동으로 분석되었다. 2. 간호학의 구문적 지식구조 : 지식구조의 두 번째 요소인 학문의 구문(syntax)은 간호학에서의 특징적인 탐구방법과 관련되나 개념적 구조와 마찬가지로 탐구방법은 학문에 따라 다르며 그 분야의 주요양상을 나타낸다. 연구결과 간호학에서의 특징적인 탐구방법은 공동적으로 간호과정(nursing process)임이 나타났으며 그 요인으로는 사정, 진단, 계획, 수행, 평가의 다섯 단계로 분석되었다.

  • 현재 우리나라는 인구의 도시집중과 주거용 건물의 부족으로 인하여 발생하는 주택부족문제는 현대산업사회에서 피할 수 없는 현상이 되고 있고, 1970년대 들어 대도시로의 인구집중과 함께 극심한 주택난을 겪게 되었다. 전국의 주택보급률은 국토교통부가 발간한 '2014년 국토교통통계연보'에 따르면103%(서울 97.5%, 경기 98.7%)에 이르러 주택의 공급측면에서 큰 문제가 없어 보이지만, 2014년 전국 자가 주택 거주율은 53.6%로 절반 정도의 가구가 타인 소유의 주택에서 임차인으로 거주하고 있다. 이와 관련하여 가장 큰 법률문제 중의 하나는 임차주택에서 임차인이 그 가족들과 모두 함께 안정된 생활을 하는 것이라고 볼 수 있는데 만약 임차인이 사망한 경우에 그동안 임차인과 함께 생활 해온 가족들이 종전과 마찬가지로 당해주택에서 주거를 계속할 수 있는가 하는 문제이다. 이에 대해 주택임대차보호법은 임차주택에서 가정공동생활을 하고 있는 자에게 임차인의 권리 및 의무를 승계하도록 인정하고 있다. 그러나 사망임차인과 동거해온 상속인이 아닌 사실상 혼인관계에 있는 자에 대해 상속인이 아니라는 이유로 선순위상속인이 당해주택의 명도를 청구할 수 있다면 이것은 사망임차인과 동거해온 가족으로서 심각한 사회적인 문제가 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 주택임대차보호법상 임차권승계와 관련하여 제기되고 있는 문제점을 검토하고 그에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Numerical Study on Air Egress Velocity in Vestibule Pressurization System : Characteristics of Air Flow in the Vestibule with Multiple Fire Doors in an Apartment Building (부속실 가압 시스템의 방연풍속에 관한 수치해석적 연구: 공동주택 부속실내에 다수 출입문의 존재시 기류특성)

  • The pressurized smoke control system in the vestibule is important for fire safety in buildings because it is concerned with egress time of people and the safety of fire fighters. The vestibule pressurization system can prevent smoke from entering the vestibule using differential pressure when fire doors are closed and using the egress velocity when fire doors are open. Air supplying units in the vestibule need to be arranged by taking account of the location of doors and the volume of the vestibule in order to assure the uniform air egress velocity through a fire door when it is open. In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations were conducted for the vestibule where multiple doors are installed and it was found that the reverse flow occurs when the damper position in vestibule is not appropriate.

Experiences of Volunteer Group Activity among Nursing Students (간호대학생의 동아리참여 자원봉사 경험)

  • This study is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach to investigate the meaning of the volunteer experience through group activities in nursing college students. From May 1 to June 12 2015, we collected data from 19 university students who participated nursing group activities at 3 universities and 30-40 minuties 1-3 times depth-interviews were conducted. Research question was, "Did you have any experience as a volunteer through club activities as nursing college students?" Results were obtained for seven central theme; 'Hard to put in unfamiliar situations', 'Crash to limit', 'Pride encroaching in rest of college life', 'To become mature human relationships', 'Found changed myself', 'Access to the majors', 'Pride for the future'. Based on the these results, in order to continous volunteer activities it is necessary to maintain introduce the program that establish commom goals and can solve out of the university and community.

Analysis on the Characteristics of Urban Decline Using GIS and Spatial Statistical Method : The Case of Gwangju Metropolitan City (GIS와 공간통계기법을 활용한 도시쇠퇴 특성 분석 - 광주광역시를 중심으로 -)

  • In an effort to prevent urban decline and hollowing-out phenomenon and to vitalize stagnant local economy, a new urban regeneration paradigm is on the rise. This study aims to analyze urban decline characteristics using the spatial statistical method and GIS on the basis of decline standards in the Urban Regeneration Special Act, and spatial autocorrelation technique. The Gwangju Metropolitan City was set as a research target, and the decline standards in the Urban Regeneration Special Act - population reduction, business declines, and outworn buildings - were applied as the indicator to secure the objectivity. In particular, this study has a distinctive feature from the other existing ones, as applying GIS and the spatial statistical technique, in a sense to make urban decline characteristics analysis by the spatial autocorrelation technique. The overall analysis procedure was carried out by applying the standards of designating urban regeneration regions, and following the spatial exploratory procedure step by step. Therefore, the spatial statistical method procedure and the urban decline characteristics analysis data being presented in this study, as the results, are expected to contribute to the urban decline diagnosis at the level of metropolitan city, as well as to provide useful information for spatial decision making in accordance with urban regeneration.
