  • The problem for the air pollution in the office or the indoor except a specific working area is the continuously issue since the human beings have lived in the dwelling facilities. Measures for that problem are urgently needed. It's possible to solve for the freshair of outside with enough ventilation but that is the awkward situation to be managed by person. It's feasible to supervison and control easily if you use to sensor network under the network. It works out to sense, storage, process, deliver every kind of appliances and environmental information from the stucktags and sensors. And it is possible to utilize to measure and monitor about the place of environmental pollution which is difficult for human to install. It's studied constantly since it be able to compose easily more subminiature, low-power, low-cost than previous one. And also it spotlights an important field of study, graft the green IT and IT of which the environment and IT unite stragically onto the Network. This study compose a IAQM(Indoor Air Quality Management) under the network, suggest the application of supervision and control.

  • Methylobacillus sp. SK1, an obligate methylotroph, was cultivated in a fed-batch culture using DO as a methanol feeding indicator with a micro computer-aided control system. While 2.07g/l of cell density was obtained after 13 hr in the batch culture (initial methanol concentration: 1.0%(v/v)),45.3g/l of cell density was obtained after 17 hr by feeding methanol and metal ions in the fed-batch culture with oxygen supply. The high-density biomass was obtained in short cultuivation time by fed-batch culture with feedback control, and consequently the biomass productivity was significantly increased. It was mainly due to extension of logarithmic growth period by methanol feeding without methanol inhibition and intensive aeration without DO limitation with microcomputer-aided control system.

  • In this study, we propose a method for moving a device such as a flexible air sculpture while stably maintaining the user's desired posture. To accomplish this, a robot system with a structure of a mobile robot capable of running according to a given trajectory was studied by applying the PI algorithm and horizontal maintenance posture control using IMU. The air sculptures used in this study often use thin strings in a fixed posture. Another method is to put a load on the center of gravity to maintain the posture, and it is a system with flexibility because it uses air pressure. It is expected that these structures can achieve various results by combining flexible structures and mobile robots through the convergence process of digital sensor technology. In this study, posture control was performed by fusion of the driving technology of AGV(Automatic Guided Vehicle),, a field of robot, and technologies applying various sensors. For verification, the given performance evaluation was performed through an accredited certification test, and its validity was verified through an experiment.

  • A preliminary, study of low temperature condition was performed to simulate high altitude condition. The mixed air temperature were investigated at various condition by experiments using cryogenic air by heat exchanger and normal temperature air. An experimental setup was constructed to simulate low temperature condition with liquid nitrogen. To control mass flow rate, orifice and pressure regulators were used. The experimental results show that the mixed air temperature increases linearly with mass flow rate of normal temperature air. Therefore it can be help to simulate a low temperature condition of high altitude.

  • Experimental studies were conducted to characterize the synthesized nanoscale zero-valent iron (NZVI) which is resistant to oxidation in the atmospheric environment. XRD, XPS, and TEM analyses revealed that the oxidation-resistant NZVI particles formed under various controlled air contact conditions (4, 8 and 12 mL/min) have shells with ${\sim}$5 nm thickness. The shells consist of magnetite (${Fe_3}{O_4}$) and maghemite (${\gamma}-{Fe_2}{O_3}$), predominantly. No substantial differences were found in the shell components and thickness among NZVI particles formed under the various air flow rates. On the other hand, shell was not detected in the TEM image of rapidly oxidized NZVI particles. NZVI particles synthesized under the various air flow rates showed similar TCE degradation performances ($k_{obs}$= 0.111, 0.102, and 0.086 $hr^{-1}$), which are equivalent to approximately 80% of those obtained by the fresh NZVI particles. TCE degradation efficiencies of the NZVI particles(fresh, controlled air contact and rapidly oxidized) were improved after equilibrating with water for one day, indicating that depassivation of the shells occurred. The performances of NZVI particles decreased to 90% and 50% of those of the fresh NZVI particles, when they were equilibrated with the atmosphere for a week and two months, respectively. The NZVI particles synthesized under the controlled air contact would have advantages over traditional NZVI particles in terms of practical application into the site, because of their inertness toward atmospheric oxygen.
