A Study on the Development of the Rock Blastability Classification and the Methods for Minimizing Overbreak in Tunnel (터널 굴착면 여굴 최소화를 위한 발파암 분류(안) 및 공법 개발 연구)

  • 터널 굴착선 여굴(Overbreak)은 발파공법에 의한 괄착 중에 필연적으로 발생하는 현상으로서 숏크리트, 라이닝 등의 보강비 추가 발생과 버력 처리량의 증대로 공기 및 공사비를 증가시키는 주요한 요인으로 작용한다. 또한 터널 굴착선 암반의 손상으로 균열층이 형성되거나 부석이 발생하여 안전문제를 야기시키기도 한다. 이러한 여굴 발생은 천공오차, 발파패턴의 오류, 잘못된 화약선정, 불규칙한 암반 특성 등에 그 원인이 있으나, 지금까지 터널 여굴은 천공 및 발파기술에 의해 좌우된다라는 인식이 대부분이었다. 그러나 여굴 발생에 중요한 원인으로 터널 굴착선 암반의 특성과 이에 적합한 발파패턴 및 화약류를 들 수 있다. 본 연구는 여굴 발생에 영향을 미치는 암반상태를 파악하기 위해서 터널 굴착선 주변암반의 균열정도, 강도, 불연속면의 간격, 방향, 간극, 충전물 상태 등의 6가지 요소를 이용하여 암반을 분류하는 발파암 분류법(BI)을 새로 제안하였고, 이 분류에 따라 외곽 공의 간격과 장약밀도를 달리 하는 발파패턴을 정립하였다. 또한 화약의 순폭도와 Air Deck 효과를 이용하여 장약밀도를 조절할 수 있는 N.D.C(New Deck Charge) 발파공법을 개발함으로써 여굴을 최소화할 수 있었다.

  • This paper aims at searching the attentiveness and method in planning. design and construction procedure of the container house system where container is used as core framework. For this. we try to produce researching fundamental materials for the construction performance and design standards of steel house, and finish the sample exterior wall system of the container house. By applying this sample system to the two case study of container housing construction we find out that there are considerable efnciency of the cost saving and catch up schedule compared with existing brick housing construction system. This study is significant in that it shows future direction of technical development and investment on the prefabricate housing market through development of the prefabricated container housing system.

  • In Korea, it has recently occurred that problems of productivity and construction duration in the construction industry. If five days per week system come into effect, they'll become more urgent. The productivity of construction industry and competitive construction duration in Korea are too low. If post sale system becomes effective, construction companies will strive to improve productivity. Therefore, the objective of this study is to draw up Architectural PC as the alternative for productivity improving and analyze possibility of productivity improving by comparing with established method of construction.

  • Currently, reconstruction and remodeling are conducted to improve the performance of aged housing. Recently reconstruction has caused many problems such as wastes generation, wasting resources and real estate speculation, remodeling is drawing attention. Accordingly, remodeling business for aged housings gradually increasing, but the use of scheduling method not considering characteristics of remodeling deters construction in some construction types. Especially, in case of dismantling construction, the dismantling is delayed since the scheduling method not considering characteristics of remodeling is used. In case of remodeling, dismantling construction is ahead of other processes, if the dismantling construction is delayed, whole construction will be delayed and if speedy construction is conducted, the costs for remodeling will increase. Furthermore, existing remodeling for aged housing has been for rahmen(crossbeam and pillar) structure apartments, but since most apartments to be remodeled are wall-slab structure where dismantling takes a lot of weight, it is highly possible the dismantling construction is delayed. Thus, this paper is to establish scheduling method for the dismantling construction reflecting characteristic of remodeling to prevent delay of dismantling construction for remodeling of aged housing with wall-slab structure.

A Study on the Selection Model of Retaining Wall Methods Using Support Vector Machines (Support Vector Machine을 이용한 흙막이공법 선정모델에 관한 연구)

  • There is a greater importance for underground work designed and built in the urban areas when it comes to considering the cost-effectiveness and the period of construction commensurate with an increasing trend of skyscrapers. At this stage of underground work, it's extremely necessary to choose a proper earth retaining method. Therefore, the study has suggested the rational retaining wall method by developing the support vector machine(SVM) model as a tool to choose a proper retaining wall method applied at the stage of selecting the earth retaining method. In order to develop the SVM model, the binary SVM classifier is expanded into a multi-class classifier. and to present the feasibility of our SVM model, we considered 129 projects. Applying the 'SVM Model' developed in the study to the designing and developing stages of the earth retaining work will contribute to the successful outcomes by decreasing any changes of design from implementing the earth retaining.

  • Our nation's housing construction is given much weight over 32% in 2007 and especially apartment is taking over 67%. If we put into construction environment consideration, we are having a trouble with price cap policy and the realestate recession due to the global economic crisis. So in order to get competitive power and supply of cheap apartment, the necessity of cost saving is increasing. This research collected the past constructed apartment project's cost saving examples which were influencing on the construction cost, quality and time. We analyzed collected cost saving datum and assorted these in compliance with classification system. By analysis of correlation among datum with exclusion and integration, we make a propose cost saving Checklist that will be a base data to give a chance to use in working level and other research.

However, a frequent change order during construction happens in Korea where different performers design and construct separately, so there is a great possibility for the change order to affect the aspects of construction cost and period which normally define the outcome of construction work. Therefore, the study has suggested the rational retaining wall method by developing the case-based reasoning model as stool to choose a proper retaining wall method applied at the stage of selecting the earth retaining method. Applying the 'CBR Model' developed in the study to the designing and developing stages of the earth retaining work will contribute to the successful outcomes by decreasing any changes of design from implementing the earth retaining work.

  • As plant market grows up, client demands to increase quality, technology and to reduce construction period. Due to the vast scale of the construction site and complexity of process, plant project can have some problems of communication among the project participants, the duplication of work, errors and rework. As a result those cause more costs, delay the construction schedule and reduce productivity and quality. Therefore, real-time communication between participants and real-time sharing of information such as material, equipment and construction are required in plant project site. This research aims to propose process and develop system using NFC(Near Field Communication) technology and augmented reality technology with mobile device for plant construction site. Administrators and operators are able to work efficiently using proposed process and system which create an environment designed to share and deliver information such as material, construction information.

  • This paper is to develop curtain wall process life-cycle system in high-rise buildings in order to establish effective cooperation communication channels among the diverse constituents. This paper is to provide a base toward a curtain wall life-cycle management system to support decision making and the effective flow in light of information and materials. The four objectives of the research are 1) the analysis of the current curtain wall life-cycle process, 2) the analysis and development of the curtain wall design process As-Is model, and 3) the Muda analysis of the design process As-Is model and the suggestion of the improvements, 4) the development of curtain wall design To-Be model and comparative analysis of the improvement in terms of value streams. This research indicates the wastes decrease (or the values increase) from 6.7% up to 100% in different decision criteria through the improvement by the comparative analysis between the As-ls and To-Be curtain wall design process. This research suggests the potential improvement by VSM and a curtain wall life-cycle management system in curtain wall construction for diverse constituents be significant.

  • There are many problems in management of high-rise building construction performed in downtown area due to limited spaces and equipments for increasing kinds and quantities of material. By these restrictions, problems such as increase of construction cost. delay of construction period, decrease of productivity, occurrence of accident are caused. Recently, studies on JIT concept have focused on construction materials as a solution for the problems. But, studies about finishing material are insufficient yet. Accordingly, this study suggests flowing of current material management, JIT management effect, and development direction of lifting-up and procurement system with Low-emissivity double Glazing, among of main finishing materials.
