Random Sign Reversal Technique in Space Frequency Block Code for Single Carrier Modulation (단일 반송파 변조를 위한 공간 주파수 블록 코드의 난수 부호 반전 기법)

  • This paper proposes a random sign reversal technique in space frequency block code for single carrier modulation. The traditional space time and frequency block coding technique may be confronted with radio environments openly, severe radio hijacking problems are to be overcome. In order to avoid such an open radio issue, random coded data protection technique for space-time block code was proposed, but this algorithm can change channel combination per an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing block. This kind of slow switching increases the probability that nearby receivers will detect the transmitted data. This paper proposes a fast switching algorithm per data symbols' basis which is a random sign reversal technique in space frequency block code for Single Carrier Modulation. It is shown in simulation that the proposed one has a superior performance in comparison with the performance of the receiver which do not know the random timing sequence of sign reversal.

Performance Analysis of OFDM using Space-Frequency Block Code (공간-주파수 블록코드를 이용한 OFDM의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, unuse frequency resources additionally in radio communication system and proposed fan shape receiver and interference exclusion flag that can overcome interference by frequency selective special quality. Analyzed results in actualer situation with channel conclusion error. Because frequency selective special quality is strong, there was excellent performance elevation than Conventional space - frequency block code receiver when use together MMSE fan shape receiver and interference exclusion radical in situation that the interference amount is big. Iin case channel conclusion error is small, there were Performance gains of 7dB in (MSE = 0.001) $BER=2{\times}10^{-3}$.

  • This paper proposes a sign reversal channel switching method in space-frequency block code for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system. In case of sending source data on other antenna, it is necessary for the receiver to change combining method according to the channel variation. If one does not know the predefined channel switching sequence, it is not possible to decode the received data precisely. In transmit data symbols' exchanges for a channel switching, data symbols are exchanged according to a format of space-frequency block code. In this paper, we proposes a simple sign reversal method except exchanging data symbols between transmit antennas. It is shown that this method occurs another combining method for a simple encryption in the receiver.

Performance Evaluation for Linear Space-time Coded MIMO-OFDM System considering Diversity-Spatial Multiplexing (다이버시티와 공간 다중화를 고려하여 선형 STBC를 사용한 OFDM 시스템 성능 분석)

  • In order to transmit data at high speed in the wireless environment, OFDM is selected as the transmission method of various high-speed wireless communication system since it has the advantage to deal easily the serious selective frequency fading channel by the multiple path. We evaluate STBC-OFDM and linear STBC-OFDM combining with a class of recently proposed linear scalable space-time block codes and OFDM in MIMO channel environments, and demonstrate the performance for spatial multiplexing and diversity gain. The codes are able to use jointly transmit diversity in combination with spatial multiplexing, and achieve spatial and temporal diversity. Frequency diversity of frequency selective channels can be utilized by combining the linear STBC and OFDM. Simulation results are shown to demonstrate the better performance of proposed approach in comparison with STBC-OFDM.

  • In this paper, an efficient pre-processing in space tine block coded-spatial multiplexing systems is presented. The pre-processing scheme is designed empirically with extending the diagonally weighted orthogonal space time-block coded diversity system to spatial multiplexing system. Simulation results show the proposed scheme outperforms both the precoder using the predefued codebooks and typical antenna selection scheme over moderate doppler frequency in limited feedback channel.

  • 새로운 변환 방식으로 최근 많이 사용하고 있는 웨이블릿 변환은 영상을 시간(위치정보)와 주파수 공간(주파수 정보)에서 동시에 표현함으로서 다른 변환 방식과는 큰 차이를 보여준다. 이런 웨이블릿 변환의 통계적 특성을 이용한 제로트리 분호화 기법은 영상 전체에서 의미 있는 영상 계수를 선별하여 약속된 우선 순위대로 부호화함으로서 매입 파일(embedded file)을 생성한다. 본 논문에서는 압축율이 큰 경우 제로 트리 부호화 과정 중 불확실 구간에서 발생하는 오차를 측정하여 최적의 오차 코드북을 생성한 후 복원시 참조함으로서 결과의 향상을 보이고자 하였다. 오차 교정은 제로트리 부호화 과정에서 손실되기 쉬운 고주파수 밴드에 적용하여 복원시 영상의 자세한 성분을 살리는데 효과적이었다. JPEG과 DCT기반 영상압축 결과에 비하여 화질에서 더 좋은 성분을 보일 뿐 아니라 고압축 복원시 발생하는 DCT 특유의 블록화 현상도 제거되었다.

  • 무선채널환경에서의 하향 방향 링크 상에서 페이딩 효과에 효과적으로 대처하고 고품질의 수신신호를 위하여 시간, 주파수 및 공간 영역 상에서의 여러 형태의 독립적인 다이버시티를 임의로 발생하기 위한 방안이 연구 되어왔다. 특히 3GPP 지상시스템에서 사용되는 개방형 전송 다이버시티 기법중 하나인 STTD( Space-Time Transmit Diversity)는 시공간 블록코드를 기반으로 하고 있으며, 본 논문에서는 이를 IMT-2000용 위성시스템의 순방향링크에 적용하여 이에 대한 결과를 고찰한다. 위성시스템의 순방향채널은 위성의 앙각에 의하여 라이시안 팩터 성분이 결정되며, 다수의 가시 위성군을 통하여 다이버시티효과를 발생시킴으로써 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재까지 상세한 규격작업이 이루어지고 있지 않은 IMT-2000용 위성시스템 상에서 두개의 가시위성을 통한 STTD 적용시 우수한 수신성능을 확인하였다.
