A Study on the Hair Line detection Using Feature Points Matching in Hair Beauty Fashion Design (헤어 뷰티 패션 디자인 선별을 위한 특징 점 정합을 이용한 헤어 라인 검출)

  • In this paper, hair beauty fashion design feature points detection system is proposed. A hair models and hair face is represented as a graph where the nodes are placed at facial feature points labeled by their Gabor features and the edges are describes their spatial relations. An innovative flexible feature matching is proposed to perform features correspondence between hair models and the input image. This matching hair model works like random diffusion process in the image space by employing the locally competitive and globally corporative mechanism. The system works nicely on the face images under complicated background. pose variations and distorted by accessories. We demonstrate the benefits of our approach by its implementation on the face identification system.

  • Collaborative knowledge is continuously producted and modified by group individuals during collaboration and it is also fostered in a radical trust environment like Wiki. The example is Wikipedia. However I found out a big problem as difficulties of exploring when the knowledge space is extended more and more widely. To solve this problem, collaborative knowledge management systems are implemented based on wiki. The one is navigation map that supports the efficient exploring and the another is knowledge map that supports a convergent thinking in a group. In this study, we examined the effectiveness of navigation map and knowledge map.

  • The management of wastes within the urban landscape has become a critical concern to both local governments and inhabitants. With landfill capacities steadily decreasing, rapid growth of economy, population and urbanization, citizen awareness of the environment and public health problems occured by existing landfill sites make difficulties in selecting the landfill site. Therefore, this study has been performed to select the optimum waste landfill site using GSIS methodology to reduce the time, cost and effort. As the result of this study, we can investigate many factors synthetically which could not be handled by the former method using hands in the site selection for waste landfill, and we can carry out economically the work of selecting suitable site throughout the vast area.

  • The shallow-water environment presents additional challenges arising from the complex interaction patterns of the sound with the sea bed. In order to overcome the difficulties generated by shallow-water propagation, broad-band matched field processing has been employed in an effort to increase robustness by utilizing multiple frequency information. In this paper, a coherent broad-band matched field processor is introduced that incorporates the spatial coherence of the acoustic field not only over one frequency but across frequencies. The incoherent and coherent processors are applied to the experimental data where it is shown that both processors give a high probability of correct localization. Also it is found that a coherent processor has better performance in the sidelobe pattern of ambiguity surfaces.

  • Nonlinear problems for membrane structures are very sensitive in convergence procedure in nonlinear iterations. Therefore many researchers have suggested a lot of ideas in published papers. In this study, authors are trying to get easier solution for taking membrane shape by initial stresses from substitution of the membrane to line elements. To obtain nonlinear stiffness, the nonlinear finite element method is used for both membrane and cable elements, and only geometric nonlinear terms are taken for shape analysis. By some examined models, we can find that the substituted models show better results to get, initial shape in which the concentrating phenomenon is removed at edge parts.

  • Multiple layer displacement mapping methods are able to represent more complex and general geometries which cannot be presented by single layer displacement mapping methods, and provide a realistic scene to digital contents such as 3D games and movies with relatively low costs. However, as we use more layers for details, data space is wasted more because lower layers have less displacement data than higher layers. In this paper, we suggest a lossless compression and rendering method of a multiple layer displacement map. Since we compress the map without data loss, the proposed method provides the same quality as the rendering result that uses an original multiple layer displacement map.

  • Microtunneling techniques play a crucial role in the construction of pipelines. In this paper shows the automatic tunneling algorithm of microtunneling system by using fuzzy logic technology to assist operators assuring the quality of microtunneling construction. To have effective output value of fuzzy controller, we slightly modified the conventional defuzzificaton methods. The proposed automatic tunneling algorithm shows good tunneling results comparable with those of experts.

Investigation of Shoreline Change by Photogrammetric Method (항공사진측량에 의한 해안선 변화 조사)

  • This paper presents a shoreline change analysis on a reclaimed land, using a pair of aerial photographs taken before and after the reclamation. Shorelines that are defined by a tide datum, i.e. Approximately Highest High Water Level, were mapped by both analytical and digital photogrammetric methods. The past shorelines were overlapped with digital cadastral map from which areas of retracted and protruded lands were computed. Magnitude of shoreline changes was estimated by calculating areas between the past and present shorelines. Comparisons in terms of areas showed a fairly good agreement between the two methods. However, particularly in the estuary of complex morphology, shoreline mapping by digital photogrammetric method requires images to be scanned at a resolution higher than 1200 dpi.

  • Detecting races is important for debugging shared-memory parallel programs, because the races result in unintended non-deterministic executions of the programs. Previous on-the-fly techniques to detect races in parallel programs with general inter-thread coordination show serious space overhead which depends on the maximum parallelism of the program. Therefore, this paper presents a loop splitting technique for on-the-fly race detection of parallel programs which is more efficient in space complexity than previous techniques. This loop splitting technique is the debugged program which preserves semantics of the original program. Monitering loop splitting program in on-the-fly can detect first races.

  • Kernel methods have shown to improve the performance of conventional linear classification algorithms for complex distributed data sets, as mapping the data in input space into a higher dimensional feature space(7). In this paper, we propose a fuzzy kernel K-nearest neighbor(fuzzy kernel K-NN) algorithm, which applies the distance measure in feature space based on kernel functions to the fuzzy K-nearest neighbor(fuzzy K-NN) algorithm. In doing so, the proposed algorithm can enhance the Performance of the conventional algorithm, by choosing an appropriate kernel function. Results on several data sets and segmentation results for real images are given to show the validity of our proposed algorithm.
