Fast Simulated Annealing with Greedy Selection (Greedy 선택방법을 적용한 빠른 모의 담금질 방법)

  • Due to the mathematical convergence property, Simulated Annealing (SA) has been one of the most popular optimization algorithms. However, because of its problem of slow convergence in the practical use, many variations of SA like Fast SA (FSA) have been developed for faster convergence. In this paper, we propose and prove that Greedy SA (GSA) also finds the global optimum in probability in the continuous space optimization problems. Because the greedy selection does not allow the cost to become worse, GSA is expected to have faster convergence than the conventional FSA that uses Metropolis selection. In the computer simulation, the proposed method is shown to have as good performance as FSA with Metropolis selection in the viewpoints of the convergence speed and the quality of the found solution. Furthermore, the greedy selection does not concern the cost value itself but uses only dominance of the costs of solutions, which makes GSA invariant to the problem scaling.

SIA-LVC : Scalable Interworking Architecture for Military L-V-C Training Systems Based on Data Centric Middleware (SIA-LVC: 데이터 중심 미들웨어 기반 확장성 있는 국방 L-V-C 훈련체계 연동 아키텍쳐)

  • A Military L-V-C system consists of distributed complex systems integrating Live systems working on physical wall-clock time, Virtual systems ruled by virtually pseudo realtime events on a computer, and Constructive systems only depending on the causal relationship between the continuous events. Recently many needs for L-V-C training systems are increasing in order to achieve the maximum training effects with low costs. While theoretical/logical researches or only partially interworking technologies have been proposed, there are few perfect interworking architectures for totally interoperating L-V-C systems in world-wide. In this paper, we design and develop a novel interworking architecture based on data centric middleware for the consistent global time with the same states on the entire L-V-C data and events by means of integrating the heterogeneous distributed middleware standards of each L-V-C system. In addition, simulated L-V-C systems based on real systems will be used for the efficiency and performance of the developed interworking architecture.

Elasto-plastic Analysis and In-situ Measurement on Rock Behaviors with Stepwise Excavation of the Steep Soft Seam at a Great Depth (심부 급경사 연약층의 채굴 진행에 따른 주변 암반 거동의 탄소성 해석 및 현장계측)

  • For the deep underground excavation site with the geological complexity of soft seam and hard rock, the numerical analysis and in-situ measurement on the behaviors of roadway and surrounding rock according to stepwise excavation of the steep soft seam are carried out. The strata behavior is modeled using elasto-plastic FEM considering the empirical failure criteria of Hoek & Brown and the strain-softening model. Hydraulic pressure capsule, MPBX and tape extensometer are installed around the roadway for the in-situ measurement of rock stress and deformation. Despite the complexity of geology and excavation procedure, the elasto-plastic analysis considering the empirical failure criteria of Hoek & Brown and the strain-softening model shows good agreement with the in-situ measurement. Comparison of numerical modeling with in-situ measurement enables to predict the behaviors of the roadway and to obtain design parameters for the excavation and support at depth.

Development and Application of the Assessment System of TBM Tunnelling Procedure (TBM 터널 공정 분석시스템의 개발 및 적용)

  • Four assessment systems for planning and evaluation of TBM tunnelling are discussed, and their characteristics and input data are analyzed. Two of the systems are determined to be adequate for post-evaluation of TBM performance because the time, such as repair time, downtime, installation time and transport time, must be included for calculations. The others are adequate for pre-planning because the basic data of the systems consist of only the basic properties of rocks and rock masses, and the specification of TBM. In order to apply these assessment systems, a number of equations, graphs and charts are generally required, which seems to be very inconvenient and complicated. In this study, therefore, a user-friendly program operated on Windows system is developed, and each system can be selected by the corresponding input data. It will be possible fer tunnel engineers to select a system according to their objectives and available input data, and to apply the system to TBM tunnel project.

Numerical Approach for Determination of Shut-in Pressure in Hydrofracturing Test (수압파쇄 균열폐쇄압력 산정을 위한 수치해석 연구)

  • The shut-in pressure calculated in common hydrofracturing test for vertical borehole equals generally to the minimum horizontal principal stress, so it should be considered as an essential parameter for determining the in-situ stress regime around the rock mass. It shows usually an ambiguous value in pressure-time history curves, however, because of the relationship between the behavior of hydraulic fractures and the condition of remote stress regime. In this study, a series of numerical analyses have been carried out to compare several methods for determining the shut-in pressure during hydrofracturing. The hydraulic-mechanical coupling has been applied to numerical analysis for simulating the fracture propagation by hydraulic pressure, and the different discontinuity geometry has been considered in numerical models to examine the effect of numerical element shape on fracture propagation pattern. From the numerical simulations with the four different discontinuity geometries, it was revealed that the shut-in pressure obtained from graphical methods rather than statistical method was relatively small. Consequently a care should be taken in selecting a method for determining the shut-in pressure when a stress anomaly around borehole and a fracture propagation with complicate mechanism are considered.

  • With the distribution modernization policy advanced by the government and consumers preference toward it, the so called "modern market" has undergone rapid growth. Conversely, traditional market is losing popularity with consumers as a result of inadequate modern structures, small market size, convoluted relationships, inefficient operation and disordered transactions, among others. Therefore, this study seeks to utilize ubiquitous computing, that is, the upgrade of context aware information to 6W1H and promote the market through the interface with Smartphone and provide advanced information through the augmented reality technology. For the construction of context-aware system using user context, the results may significantly differ according to how reference rules are applied to and implemented on knowledge base. In light of above, through the use of RFID technology and 6W1H context awareness, we seek to promote traditional markets.

  • 가뭄관리에서 가장 중요한 요소는 1) 강수량, 지표수, 지하수, 댐수, 토양수분 등 물 공급량의 시 공간적 모니터링과 2) 이용가능한 물 공급량 약화 정도에 따라 적시적소에 물 이용자가 취해야할 행동요령을 제시하는 것이다. 가뭄지수는 가뭄관리에서 종합적인 물 공급량 정보를 하나의 수치로 정량화하여 가용 수자원의 악화정도를 나타내어 가뭄경보의 기준으로 활용된다. 현재까지 개발된 대표적인 가뭄지수들은 PDSI(Palmer Drought Severity Index), SPI(Standardized Precipitation Index), SWSI(Surface Water Supply Index) 등이 있다. PDSI는 여러 가지 제한점을 가지고 있지만 가뭄지수 개발의 시발점이 되었다는 점에서 전세계적으로 이용하고 있고 국내에서도 기상청의 공식적인 가뭄지수로 발표되고 있다. PDSI는 복잡한 물수지 모형에 의해 산정되며, 이용되는 매개변수는 지역의 기후상황, 보정자료기간 등에 민감하게 작용하고 있으나 이들에 대한 국내기후 환경에서의 평가가 선행되어 있지 않고 있다. PDSI는 가뭄과 습윤 기간의 시작과 종료 시점을 확률적으로 산정하여 이를 기반으로 가뭄경보에 활용하고 있다. 또한, 이들 확률은 기상학적 가뭄상황을 나타내는 PDSI에 후행하는 하천유출, 저수지 수위, 지하수 등의 수문학적 가뭄을 표현하는 PHDI(Palmer Hydrological Drought Index)를 산정하는 데 이용된다. Z-지수 역시 PDSI에서 얻을 수 있는 가뭄지수로 단기간의 가뭄특성에 의한 농업가뭄을 표현하는 데 적합한 지수로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 PDSI의 제한점들을 살펴보고 우리나라의 기후상황, 자료보정기간 등에 따른 PDSI의 제매개변수들을 재산정하여 계산된 PDSI의 변동성을 검토한 후 이를 Palmer(1965)가 제시한 PDSI 산정식과 비교 평가하였다. 또한 가뭄의 시작과 종료 확률 개념에 의하여 산정된 PDSI를 기상청에서 제공하고 있는 PDSI와 비교 분석하여 개선점을 도출하였다.

Analysis of Characteristics and Land Use Regulation of Urban Growth Potential Area in Busan Metropolitan City (부산권 도시성장 잠재지역의 특성 및 토지이용규제 실태 분석)

  • Land use regulations introduced for rationalization of land use due to the diversification of socio-economic development, resulting in inconvenience to the people's economic life, have recently changed the paradigm due to deregulation. In this study, the potential areas for urban growth in the Busan area were derived by simulating using the CA model and spatial characteristics were analyzed along with land use regulated areas. The analysis examined whether the land use regulations were actually intended to curb urban growth and promote the efficiency of land use, or if there were other factors that could cause inconvenience to the people's lives. The analysis showed that the greenbelt zones in areas with high development pressure outside urban areas were acting as land use regulations, but there were multiple regulations on land use in many areas. Therefore, it is deemed that various approaches and reviews will be needed, including reconsideration of multiple regulations in areas with high urban growth potential, while maintaining the net function of land use regulations.

A Study on Correcting Virtual Camera Tracking Data for Digital Compositing (디지털영상 합성을 위한 가상카메라의 트래킹 데이터 보정에 관한 연구)

  • The development of the computer widens the expressive ways for the nature objects and the scenes. The cutting edge computer graphics technologies effectively create any images we can imagine. Although the computer graphics plays an important role in filming and video production, the status of the domestic contents production industry is not favorable for producing and research all at the same time. In digital composition, the match moving stage, which composites the captured real sequence with computer graphics image, goes through many complicating processes. The camera tracking process is the most important issue in this stage. This comprises the estimation of the 3D trajectory and the optical parameter of the real camera. Because the estimating process is based only on the captured sequence, there are many errors which make the process more difficult. In this paper we propose the method for correcting the tracking data. The proposed method can alleviate the unwanted camera shaking and object bouncing effect in the composited scene.

  • The proposed method inserts a watermark information not mto a whole Image region but only into regions of interest(ROIs) To extract the ROIs, we divide an original Image into sub-blocks and use modified Shi-Kuo Chang's PIM(picture information measure) as the criteria to select the ROIs Considering the directional information and frequency bands, we insert the watermark information into sub-blocks m the DCT domain. The proposed method can reduce the distortion in comparison With the other methods which utilize the whole Image as an nor The proposed method makes much less damaged Images m comparison to the other methods And those Images processed by the proposed algorithm are more robust to the changes caused by signal processing operations such as resampling, clipping. noise, and so on Also due to the block-based watermark insertion, the proposed method has the robustness to the Image compression processes such as JPEG and MPEG.
