Hydrologic Monitoring and Complement for Urban Sub-drainages (도시하천 소배수구역 수문 모니터링 및 운영보완)

  • 최근 다양한 기상 이변과 해수 온도 상승으로 인해 더욱 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 국지성 집중 호우 및 돌발홍수는 각 유역 특성별 수문 기초자료의 축적 및 분석을 더욱 요구하고 있다. 또한, 수문현상은 시간과 공간에 따른 큰 변동성을 가지고 있어 규명하기 복잡한 특성을 가지고 있다. 특히 산악지역이 많은 우리나라의 지형학적 특성과 최근의 집중 호우 특성 등으로 인하여 이러한 변동성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 집중 호우시 인명과 재산의 피해가 더 가중되는 도시 지역은 더욱더 중요하다. 도시지역의 수문 모니터링이 부족한 실정을 고려한다면 도시하천별, 소배수구역별 수문 관측 및 자료 분석이 절실하다. 우리나라 주거지역의 토지이용 형태를 반영하는 과학적이고 체계적인 도시하천 수문 모니터링시스템 운영 및 자료 축적, 제공이 필요하다. "도시홍수재해관리기술연구사업단"에서는 도시하천 유역의 수문현상 규명을 위한 기초 정보 축적을 위해 중랑천 유역에 시험배수구역(신내1 배수구역, 군자 배수구역, 어린이대공원 배수구역)을 운영하여 수문 관측 및 자료 분석을 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도시하천 시험유역의 운영 결과와 미흡한 부분을 개선하기 위해 보완한 내용을 소개하고자 한다. 또한, 도시하천 시험유역 운영시 인식해야할 중요한 사항에 대해 조사하였다. 이러한 결과는 향후 도시하천 시험유역 선정 및 운영, 수문자료 분석에 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

An Empirical Study on Analysis Method of Impervious Surface Using IKONOS Image (IKONOS 위성영상을 이용한 불투수지표면 분석방법에 관한 실증연구)

  • Impervious surface affects urban climate, flood, and water pollution. With a higher paved rate, expanded heat containing capacity of buildings and roads raises atmospheric temperature, and increased quantity of the outflowed water brings flood during a heavy downpour. Moreover, increased non-point source pollutant load is accountable for water pollution. In this regard, it is definitely important to research and keep monitoring the current situation of paved surface, which influences urban ecosystem, disaster and pollution. In fact, collecting information on urban paved surface, which requires the time and expense, is very difficult due to its complicate structure. In order to solve the problem, this study suggested a method to utilize satellite image data for efficient survey on the current condition of paved surface. It analyzed the paved surface condition of Anyang-si by using IKONOS image and discussed the usefulness and limitation of this method.

A Robust Algorithm for Moving Object Segmentation in Illumination Variation (조명변화에 강인한 에지기반의 움직임 객체 추출 기법)

  • Surveillance system with the fixed field of view generally has an identical background and is easy to extract and segment a moving object. However, it is difficult to extract the object when the gray level of the background is varied due to illumination condition in the real circumstance. In this paper we propose the segmentation algorithm to extract effectively the object in spite of the illumination change. In order to minimize the effect of illumination, the proposed algorithm is composed of three modes according to the background generation and the illuminational change. Then the object is finally obtained by using projection and the morphological operator in post-processing. A good segmentation performance is demonstrated by the simulation result.

  • Along with the development of technology, a variety of multimedia programs are presented in the exhibition. Mixed reality-based technology, such as augmented reality, is also being effectively introduced in the form of an interactive exhibition. In this process, the novelty and the splendor of technology and environment, in the display, can be turned into complex forms, which value is often unappreciated by attenders. The current study realizes the target of display-oriented exhibition environments for augmented reality, and explores the structure of display format, which can minimize the intervention of equipment. The study aims to discuss the structures of multimedia exhibition based on augmented reality and its characteristics.

  • It is suggested the circuit network to analyze the time response of control system. And it is analyzed the interrelation for classical control and modern control by the transfer function and the state equation. Without complicated integration of state transition equation, it is suggested to possible time response by combining the state transition matrix and the transfer function. A source program is coded to display the time response according to the unit-step and the sinusoidal input. Transient response is analyzed in the unit-step input and phase difference between current and voltage is analyzed in sinusoidal input. As writing the suggested contents in transient response or state-space analysis, it is improved the understanding for control engineering and ability for system design.

Hardware-based Visibility Preprocessing using a Point Sampling Method (점 샘플링 방법을 이용한 하드웨어 기반 가시성 전처리 알고리즘)

  • In cases of densely occluded urban scenes, it is effective to determine the visibility of scenes, since only small parts of the scene are visible from a given cell. In this paper, we introduce a new visibility preprocessing method that efficiently computes potentially visible objects for volumetric cells. The proposed method deals with general 3D polygonal models and invisible objects jointly blocked by multiple occluders. The proposed approach decomposes volume visibility into a set of point visibilities, and then computes point visibility using hardware visibility queries, in particular HP_occlusion_test and NV_occlusion_query. We carry out experiments on various large-scale scenes, and show the performance of our algorithm.

  • Many studies in detection and classification of the targets in the underwater environments have been conducted for military purposes, as well as for non-military purpose. Due to the complicated characteristics of underwater acoustic signal reflecting multipath environments and spatio-temporal varying characteristics, active sonar target classification technique has been considered as a difficult technique. And it has a difficult in collecting actual underwater data. In this paper, we implemented the simulator to synthesize the active target signal, to extract feature and to classify the target in the underwater environment. In target signal synthesis, highlight and three-dimensional model are used and multi-aspect based hidden markov model is used for target classification.

In this paper, we synthesized active target echoes based on ray tracing algorithm using target model having 3-dimensional highlight distribution. Then, Fractional Fourier transform was applied to synthesized target echoes to extract feature vector. Recognition experiment was performed using neural network classifier.

  • In recent days, mart or department which have large parking lots provide service for finding parked cars using NFC and GPS technology. In case using NFC, users should directly tap NFC tag, and GPS does not work inside the parking garage. In this paper, garage parking indicator system using becoan served push notification is described. By using this system, users can automatically be aware where they parked car when they enter into the huge parking lot. This system overcomes the weakness of the existing parking indicator systems, such as using NFC tag system and using GPS system.

  • 이동통신 단말기의 그래픽 유저 인터페이스 환경은 다양한 요인에 의하여 그 변화를 자극 받고 있다. 한정된 디스플레이 공간 안에서의 다 기능화로 인한 사용성의 문제, 정적이고 지시적인 상황에 익숙한 문자 중심의 세대에서 자율적이고 동적인 영상 중심의 세대로의 사용자 세대의 변화, 합리적 소비 보다는 감성적 만족을 중요하게 여기는 사용자 가치의 변화, 그래픽 디자인 트랜드의 변화, 서비스 컨텐츠의 변화, 기술의 발전 등 이동통신 단말기를 둘러싼 모든 측면에서 변화가 진행되고 있다. 여기에 이동통신 단말기 제조사, 서비스 업체, 컨텐츠 업체, 칩 제조사 등 이동통신 서비스와 관련된 다양한 사업 주체들의 복잡한 이해관계 속에서의 경쟁 또한 이러한 변화를 부추기는 요인의 하나로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 변화요인들을 적절히 수렴하여 제공할 수 있는 보다 효과적인 그래픽 유져 인터페이스 디자인 방법을 모색하고자 하였으며, 보다 효율적이고 적극적인 개선을 위해 현재 이동통신 단말기의 GUI 디자인의 주요 디자인 수단인 Bitmap 또는 Vector 그래픽 대신 보다 다양한 시각적 표현 방법을 내재하고 있는 3D 기반의 Motion 그래픽을 활용한 이동통신 단말기의 GUI 디자인 방법을 제안 하고자 한다. 하지만 아직 여러가지 제약 조건들로 인하여 이동통신 단말기 내에서 3D Motion 그래픽의 적용이 완전히 자유롭지 않은 것이 사실이다. 그러나 기술의 발전 속도로 볼 때 머지 않아 3D Motion GUI 제공을 위한 이동통신 단말기의 기술적 환경은 충분히 발전될 것이며, 이에 따라 본 연구와 같이 3D 그래픽이나 Motion 그래픽을 등을 활용한 이동통신 단말기의 사용자 인터페이스 연구의 선행은 매우 필요하다고 볼 수 있다.
