Pyroshock and Vibration Characteristics of PEEK Washer Shock Absorbers (PEEK 와셔를 적용한 충격저감장치의 파이로 충격 및 진동 특성)

  • Pyrotechnic shock or pyroshock is characterized as a transient vibration phenomena which shows large acceleration and high frequency range up to 10kHz during the operation of separation devices where explosives are used. During the flight of a launch vehicle, pyro-shock is mainly generated at several events such as satellite separation, fairing separation and stage separation. In this paper, characteristics of pyroshock are introduced briefly, and PEEK washer shock absorber is applied for the reduction of pyroshock in the high frequency range. With some electronic devices, reduction characteristic of pyroshock using washer type shock absorber are studied. Random vibration tests are also performed for the verification of vibrational characteristics.

Accurate Signal Integrity Verification of Transmission Lines Based on High-Frequency Measurement (고주파 전송선 회로의 실험적 고찰을 통한 정확한 시그널 인테그러티 검증)

  • An accurate signal integrity verification method based on high-frequency measurements is proposed. For practical transmission lines that require a package process, process variations metal roughness and skin effects and boundary conditions may have deteriorative effects on circuit performance. These effects are represented in terms of parameters that can be readily utilized for field-solver. Thereby a more accurate signal integrity verification using field-solver can be achieved. It is shown that in both single and coupled lines the signal transients using the proposed method have excellent agreement with the measurement data.

  • An accurate and simple method to extract equivalent circuit parameters of fully-depleted silicon-on-insulator MOSFETs small-signal modeling operating at RF frequencies including the non-quasi static effects is presented in this article. The advantage of this method is that a unique and physically meaningful set of intrinsic equivalent circuit parameters is extracted by de-embedding procedure of extrinsic elements such as parasitic capacitances and resistances of MOSFETs from measured S-parameters using simple Z- and Y- matrices calculations. The calculated small-signal parameters using the presented extraction method give modeled Y-parameters which are in good agreement with the measured Y-parameters from 0.5 to 20GHz.

An Experimental Study on the Development of a Cabin Noise Reduction System for Improving Ship Habitability (선박 거주성 향상을 위한 선실 소음 저감 시스템 개발에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Ship noise is one of the important factors for the living and health of seafarers, and ef orts to reduce ship noise are actively underway. There are two methods of noise reduction: passive noise Control (PNC) and active noise control (ANC). Unlike cars and airplanes, ANC is not widely used for noise reduction on ships. This study aimed to reduce the noise generated in the engine room by using soundproof panels and high-frequency vibration generators, as well as active noise control (ANC). For this purpose, an experimental model was made using an acrylic box, and the noise reduction effect was measured under four conditions. The experimental results are as follows: First, the soundproof panel had a noise reduction effect in all ranges from 55 dB to 85 dB. In the case of using a high-frequency vibration generator, there was no ef ect in the low noise range such as 55 dB(A), but there was a noise reduction effect in the high noise range such as 70.8 dB(A) and 85 dB(A).Second, when the soundproof panel and the high-frequency vibration generator were used simultaneously, the noise reduction ef ect was up to -2.2 dB(A). The results of this experiment were obtained from an experimental model made of acrylic, and they may be different from actual ships made of steel plate. In future studies, we plan to experiment using iron plate (considering the material, thickness, and structure) used in actual ships. We hope that this study will help to improve the living environment and health of seafarers on ships.

Percutaneous Radiofrequency Therapy of Benign Bone Tumors in the Femoral Head (대퇴골두 부위에 발생한 양성 골 종양에 대한 경피적 고주파치료 (증례보고))

  • Purpose: To report two cases of bone tumors other than osteoid osteoma in the proximal femur and treated with percutaneous high frequency radioablation method. Cases: We reviewed two cases with intracortical chondroma and enchondroma in the femoral head retrospectively. The patient with intracortical chondroma was a thirty one year old woman and had suffered right hip pain of 1 year duration. The lesion was located in the head of right femur and treated with CT guided percutaneous high frequency radioablation after needle biopsy under general anesthesia. The symptom was gone immediately after the procedure and was discharged postop. 1 day. 15 months has passed without symptom recurrence. Second case having enchondroma, was 56 year old woman complaining of gluteal area pain for 3 months. Radiologic evaluation showed osteolytic lesion with sclerotic rim on the inferior portion of the left femoral head. She received a same therapy with CT guided radiofrequency ablation following needle biopsy. She reported dramatic pain relief after the procedure and was discharged postop. 1 day. No symptom has occurred for 3 months until now. Conclusion: We present 2 cases of bone tumor occurred in the hip joint area other than osteoid osteoma which were treated with CT guided radiofrequency ablation.

Radiofrequency Ablation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (≤ 5 cm) with Saline-Perfused Electrodes: Factors Affecting Local Tumor Progression (5 cm 이하의 간암에서 식염수 주입방식 전극을 이용한 고주파 소작술: 국소 재발에 영향을 미치는 인자)

  • Purpose We aimed to assess local tumor progression (LTP) rate and associated prognostic factors in 92 patients who underwent radiofrequency ablation (RFA) using saline-perfused electrodes to treat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (≤ 5 cm). Materials and Methods Total 92 patients with 148 HCCs were treated with RFA using saline-perfused electrodes, from 2009 to 2015. We retrospectively evaluated technical success, technique efficacy, and LTP rates. Potential prognostic factors for LTP were perivascular tumor, subphrenic tumor, artificial ascites, tumor size (≥ 2 cm), and previous treatment of transarterial chemoembolization. Analysis was performed by lesion, rather than by person. Results During follow-up period from 1 to 97.4 months, total cumulative LTP rates were 7.9%, 11.4%, and 14.6% at 1, 3, and 5 years, respectively. These values were significantly higher in the perivascular (35.1%; p = 0.009) and subphrenic group (38.9%; p = 0.002) at 5-year. We did not observe any significant difference in LTP according to other prognostic factors (p > 0.05). Conclusion RFA with saline-perfused electrode is a safe and effective treatment modality for HCC (≤ 5 cm), with lower LTP rates. Nevertheless, perivascular and subphrenic HCCs demonstrated higher LTP rate than other sites. It is imperative to note that perivascular and subphrenic location of HCC are associated with a high risk of local recurrence, despite the use of saline-perfused electrodes.

  • 본 논문에서는 해프톤 패턴의 간섭현상으로 발생하는 모아레 패턴을 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 새로운 모아레 패턴 평활화 방법을 제시한다. 제안한 방법에서는 모아레 패턴이 존재하는 영역에 대해서만 그 세기에 따라 평활화 정도를 적극적으로 조정해 주기 때문에, 모아레 패턴을 효과적으로 제거하면서 경계나 텍스쳐 같은 의미있는 고주파 성분도 잘 보존할 수 있다. 또한 기존의 방법과 달리 퓨리에 변환과 같은 추가 연산을 필요로 하지 않고 미리 만들어진 테이블을 참조하는 과정만으로 모아레 피크의 세기를 결정하기 때문에 연산 시간 측면에 서로 효율적이다. 제안한 방법은 칼라 인쇄물을 다루는 다양한 멀티미디어 분야에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있다.

  • 화자 인식의 방법에서 사용되고 있는 특징 파라미터들은 음성 인식에서 사용되고 있는 특징 파라미터를 그대로 사용하고 있다. 따라서, 이를 화자 인식에 적용할 때 화자의 특성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있어야 한다. 일반적인 화자의 특징이 고주파수 위주로 분포되어 있기 때문에 전체 스펙트럼의 고주파 영역을 강조시킬 수 있고, 또한 인간의 청각특성이 공진 주파수에 기반하여 이루어진다는 사실에 기반을 두어서 공진 주파수 위주로 강조시키는 인지 가중 필터를 인식단의 전처리로 사용하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 논문을 실험한 결과 전체 인식율에서는 기존의 방법보다 3.89%까지 인식율의 향상을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 사칭자 수리율은 2.5%의 저하를 얻을 수 있었다.
