Evaluation of Vibration Characteristics of Caisson-Type Breakwater Using Impact Vibration Tests and Validation of Numerical Analysis Model (진동시험에 의한 방파제 케이슨의 동특성 평가 및 수치해석 모델의 검증)

  • In this study, impact vibration tests are applied to analyze the vibration characteristics of caisson-type breakwater, and the results obtained from vibration tests are compared with numerical simulation results considering fluid-soil-structure interaction effects to verify the feasibility of a numerical analysis model. It is found that natural frequencies are reduced as amount of 1.7-4.3% after additional parapet structure is added to increase the height of breakwater, and the same results was observed from the numerical simulation study. Through the comparison, it was verified that the vibration tests and numerical simulation study can be applied to evaluate the vibration characteristics of caisson-type breakwater.

  • 엔진의 상태진단을 위하여 사용되는 진동 및 초음파 신호는 진동 가속도계와 초음파변환기를 대상 엔진의 취약 부위에 부착하여 측정한다. 이들 센서는 연소와 관련된 고주파진동을 측정하는 능력이 있어서 사용되고 있다. 진동가속도계와 초음파변환기의 선정 및 설치는 진동해석에서 가장 중요한 결정 요소이다. 가속도계의 설치도 주파수응답에 영향을 준다. 초음파변환기는 전자기계적 변환기로서, 진동면에서 발생하여 공기 중으로 전파되는 음파를 감지한다. 초음파변환기는 사용할 수 있는 주파수대역이 아주 협소한 대신 가속도계보다 명확한 신호를 산출한다. 초음파변환기는 사용할 수 있는 아주 협소한 주파수역을 갖는 비용으로 가속도계보다 명확한 신호를 얻을 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 원전 비상디젤발전기 엔진 상태진단을 위한 초음파 및 진동센서의 설치방법에 따른 가속도계 및 초음파 센서의 응답 특성을 분석하고 주파수응답에 대한 영향에 따라 여러 가지 설치방법의 검토를 통하여 최적방법론을 도출한 결과를 소개하고자 한다.

An Experimental Study on the Material Characteristics of Mechanical Filters for Eliminating High-Frequency Noise in Accelerometer Measurements (가속도 측정에 있어 고주파 잡음 제거를 위한 기계적 필터의 재료 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Accelerometers are widely used to measure the lateral vibrations of pipe-like structures such as a gun tube under impulse loads. Stress waves that precede the lateral vibrations due to the explosion within a gun contribute little to the vibrations, but saturate the accelerometer input. A mechanical filter eliminates this high-frequency stress wave and only transmits the signal corresponding to the lateral vibrations. The mechanical filter consists of a mechanical structure for mounting the accelerometers and a damping material. The low-pass filter characteristics are determined from the equivalent damping and stiffness property of this damping material. In this paper, we tested nine commercially available damping materials for their vibration characteristics by using a test rig. We also observed the change in the vibration characteristics while compressing the material. We designed and manufactured a mechanical filter and verified its filtering performance.

  • One of important roles of concrete track is to reduce vibration transmitting to subgrade. In this paper, a numerical method for evaluating the effects of vibration reduction of concrete track is presented. Using the method, high frequency dynamic analyses and track-tunnel-soil interaction analyses are carried out for three types of concrete track in order to investigate the vibration reduction effects compared with normal ballast track.

  • 본 논문에서는 외부방사 문제에 널리 사용되는 음향경계 요소 법(Acoustic Boundary Element Method)을 확장하여 저주파수 대역은 기존의 방법을 이용하고 고주파수 대역에서는 경계요소의 특성길이에 의한 고주파수 상한을 극복할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 밴드를 대표하는 음압 레벨을 직접 계산하도록 상호상관도 가정을 통하여 간략화 하였다. 간단한 음향방사 모델인 배플이 있는 빔과 평판에 대하여 Rayleigh 적분식의 계산결과와 제안된 방법을 비교하여 적용효능성을 검토하였다. 적용을 위한 조건으로는 방사면 진동의 상호상관도가 작아야 하므로, 이를 만족시키기 위한 일반적인 조건식을 제시하여 이로부터 경계요소의 특성길이를 정하는 기준을 제시하였다.

  • 계류라인은 해양관측부이 혹은 해양구조물을 일정일치에 계류시키기 위해서 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 본 연구에서는 상부구조물의 거동에 의한 계류라인의 거동특성을 파악하기 위하여, 상부 윗단에서 일정주기와 진폭으르 가진되는 경우에 장력과 변위의 응답을 살펴보았다. 수평으로 가진되는 경우에 규칙적으로 가진됨에도 불구하고 맨윗단에서 장력은 가진 주파수 성분 이외에 고주파수 성분이 함께 응답하였다. 이 때 고주파수 성분은 계류라인의 길이와 장력에 따라서 다른 성분으로 나타났는데, 이 성분은 상부단에서 발생한 에너지가 전달되어 해저고정단에서 다시 반사되어 발생하는 것으로 판단되어 진다. 향후 이 성분에 대한 정량적인 연구가 필요하다. 수직으로 가진되는 경우에는 장력이 충격력 효과로 나타났는데, 이것은 지반과의 상호작용에 의한 것으로 판단된다.

An analysis of the Sound Radiation Characteristics of the King Song-Dok Bell Using Cylindrical Acoustic Holography (원통형 음향 홀로그라피를 이용한 성덕대왕 신종의 방사음장 특성 분석)

  • In order to investigate the radiation of sound from the King Song-Duk bell, we measured the sound pressure around the bell at every 30$^{\circ}$ using a microphone line array which was composed of 30 microphones separated by 15cm;total number of measurement point was 360. The sound field was estimated by using cylindrical acoustic holography. The spectrum of measured sound pressure demonstrates that it is almost like white noise in the very beginning, but in 10 seconds two close frequency components(64.06Hz, 64.38Hz) remain and make a famous beating. This beating sound is often believed to make unique sound of the King Song-Duk bell. The mode shapes of that frequency components are the same except that one is rotated by 45$^{\circ}$ from the other. This phenomenon occurs at the other pairs of components are the same except ones in very high frequency range where the mode shapes are rather complex.

  • A major problem of frequency analysis in the field of low-frequencies such as building or construction vibration is the way of signal processing which is appropriate to obtain included frequency content from the finite process to be measured. Therefore, it is the aim of the investigation reported herein to develop the signal processing algorithm which is analyzed without losing the reliability of the measurements in low-frequency domain. To accomplish the research objective, it was analyzed the problems on the way of signal processing in low-frequency domain, and compared the response characteristics of FFT with those of MEM (Maximum Entropy Method) about the low-frequency of vibration. This evaluation of the response characteristics is used in determining appropriate signal processing algorithm into the low-frequency domain.

  • It was analyzed that the vibration and frequency characteristics for quartz crystal using a finite element method, ANSYS. It was investigated that the resonant frequency of quartz crystal by fixing the diameter of quartz crystal for the various its thickness. There were also studied that the resonant frequency value with different electrode thin films of Au, Ag and Al. As the result of this study, the best condition for quartz crystal unit was determined by the finite element method. If the thickness of quartz crystal is smaller than 0.2 mm, the high frequency over 8.102 MHz was obtained. In addition, as to the change of resonant frequency on electrode thin film, Al turned out to be superior to Au or Ag in frequency response.
