본 논문은 연층형 생물체의 형태를 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. 고정된 카메라에 제약된 공간상에서 움직이는 생물체를 인식하기 위하여 다음과 같은 과정을 거친다. 먼저 배경 영상을 추출한 후 배경 영상과 현재 영상의 차영상을 통하여 물체의 이진화 영상을 생성하여 세선화 작업을 거친 후 마지막으로 변환된 이미지에서 대표점을 추출하여 패턴 생성기의 입력 데이터로 사용한다. 생물체의 형태 인식 방법은 문자 인식 방법과 몇 가지 차이점을 가지는데 문자의 경우 'q'와 'b'가 다르게 인식되지만 생물체의 경우 이 두 형태는 단지 하나의 형태가 회전한 결과이므로 두 형태를 동일하게 인식해야 한다. 그러므로 패턴 생성을 위한 입력 데이터도 다른 형태를 띄게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 지렁이, 뱀 등과 같은 물체의 행동 분석을 하기 위한 기초 데이터를 생성하는 좋은 방법이 될 수 있다.

현재 한빛 플라즈마에서 운영되고 있는 전자기 진단장치는 정전탐침, 자장탐침 및 반자성루프 둥이 있다. 정전탐침은 고정식, 이동식, 고속주사방식 세 종류의 진단장치가 개발되어 실험에 이용되어 왔는데 비교적 쉽게 많은 종류의 probe와 다양한 probe tip을 구성할 수 있기 때문에 한빛 장치에서 axial 및 azimuthal 방향으로 전자 온도/밀도 및 그들의 분포를 측정하고 있다. 단일탐침에서 사용되던 RF 보상기술을 삼중탐침에서도 적용시켜 RF 보상 삼중탐침을 개발하였다. 기존의 삼중탐침의 경우에는 DC에 대해서는 높은 임피던스로 외부에 부유되어 있지만 RF의 경우에는 외부와 부유되지 않고 낮음 임피던스로 연결되어있는 경우가 많았다. 하지만 RF보상 삼중탐침의 경우에는 RF의 경우에도 충분히 큰 임피던스로 부유되어 있다. 따라서 보다 왜곡되지 않은 측정을 할 수 있다. RF보상 삼중탐침을 이용하여 한빛 Mirror 플라즈마에서 axial 방향으로 Plasma 변수들의 변화를 관찰하면서 기존의 탐침에서 볼 수 얼던 여러 특성을 관찰할 수 있었다.

전기모터는 과학의 발달을 통한 전기제품의 다양성과 동시에 종류도 다양해졌다. 이렇듯 전기모터는 내부의 구조변경에 따라 크게 세 가지로 유도모터, 직류모터, BLDC모터로 나눠진다. 이 중 유도모터는 제작 및 사용성이 좋지만 구조가 간다하여 정밀성을 요구하는 용도에는 부적합하여 선풍기와 제분기에 쓰이고 있다. 이에 직류모터는 정밀제어가 용이하여 서보제어 등 고급응용기술에 사용되고 있으나, 직류모터의 치명적인 단점인 모터 안에 있는 브러시와 정류자의 기계적인 접촉전환을 이용하여 회전력을 유지하기 때문에, 브러시나 정류자가 쉽게 손상되는 문제가 발생하였다. 이런 문제점을 해결한 고성능 제품인 BLDC모터는 RC제품 또는 첨단 의료기기에 장착되는 모터로 고수명, 고정밀도, 저소음을 자랑하고 있으며 산업용 로봇 등에 장착되어 현재 전 세계에 수용시장이 형성되어 있다.

두 카메라로 받아들인 영상을 매트랩(MATLAB)을 이용하여 각각의 카메라에서 시간차를 두고 찍은 첫 번째 사진과 두 번째 사진의 GRAY변환 후 두 사진의 차로 임의로 나눈 3영역에서 움직임을 확인하고 이동방향을 알 수 있었다. 카메라에서 연속적으로 찍은 세 번째 사진과 네 번째 사진도 차를 내어 자율 이동 로봇은 물체를 쫓아가게 된다. 카메라에서 사진을 계속 캡처한 후 차를 내어 자율 이동 로봇이 물체를 쫓아가도록 설계 및 제작 하였다. 자율 이동 로봇은 사람의 눈과 같은 고정된 두 대의 카메라를 사용했다. 영상 처리와 모터제어의 빠른 연산을 위해 컴퓨터를 사용하였고, 영상 처리된 신호는 프린터포트를 이용하여 모터제어를 하였다.

Idiopathic cricopharyngeal achalasia is a rare condition that produces oropharyngeal dysphagia. It is caused by spasm of the cricopharyngeus and inability to relax with swallowing. A prominent muscle bar at the upper esophageal sphincter is a typical finding of the esophagogram. Cricopharyngeal myotomy is the treatment of choice. We report a case of cricopharyngeal myotomy for 61-year-old female patient.

Huge chondrosarcoma is a rare form of primary malignant tumor of the chest wall. We operated on a 60 year old female patient who had a huge anterior chest wall mass with local invasion into the pericardium and satellite tumors on the visceral pericardium of the heart. En-bloc resection of the huge tumor including both upper 3 ribs, both clavicles, manubrium of the sternum, pleura, and pericarium, was followed by complex chest wall reconstruction using a Gore-tex soft tissue patch and latissimus dorsi musculocutaneous free flap.

Tooth impaction is defined as a failure of tooth eruption resulting from the physical obstacles in the eruption path or the abnormal position of the tooth germ. Impaction of mandibular second molar is relatively rare, and it may incite pathologic conditions such as dental caries, periodontitis, or root resorption of adjacent first molar. Thus, early diagnosis and treatment is recommended. In the first case, a 10-year-old male patient, was treated by brass wire to separate the bilaterally impacted mandibular second molars. In the second case, a 12-year-old female patient, was treated with Humphrey appliance for impacted mandibular left second molar, which was detected during a periodical dental examination. In the third case, a 17-year-old female patient with impacted mandibular right second molar, was treated by uprighting spring with mini-implant anchorage around premolar area. In the last case, an 18-year-old male patient, was treated with mini-implant placed on the ramus of mandible connected to the orthodontic buttons bonded on impacted mandibular left second molar by elastic thread.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficiency of Acutrak screw fixation for radial head fracture (Mason type 2) without considering the safe Bone of radial head. Materials and Methods: Consecutive seven radial head fracture of Mason type II underwent internal fixation with Acutrak screws from May 2001 to February 2003. The mean follow-up period was 1.2years (ranged, $6 months{\sim}2.5 years$). The mean age of patients was 47 years old (ranged, $36{\sim}60years$ old). The cause of injury were fall down -4 cases and traffic accident -3 cases. The results were evaluated by Mayo Clinic results scoring system. Results: Functional Rating Index of Mayo Clinic was excellent- 2 cases and good- 5 cases. There were no nonunion, loosening, heterotopic ossification, infection or degenerative changes. The postoperative range of motion in elbow joint is nearly full for flexion, extension, pronation and supination in this study Conclusion: Consideration of safe zone is not necessary when Acutrak screws are used for radial head fracture. It seems to be a useful method that Acutrak screw fixation for radial head fracture (Mason type II) could achieve good radiologic and clinical results without influencing proximal radio-ulnar joint and has powerful fixation.

Manure recycle is an emerging issue in agriculture in Korea these days. Farmers are keeping eye on legume mixture with grasses for nitrogen fixation and transfer to companion crops by legumes. We had a trial to investigate the effect of different legume mixtures on nitrogen fixation and transfer in spring soil. The treatment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Three different mixtures were used(rye+hairy vetch, Italian ryegrass+crimson clover, oat+pea) and sowed in pots with paddy soil from western part of Korea(Seo Chon County). Pots with rye+vetch were transplanted from field of RDA(rural development administration) in Suwon on 2 February 2007 and other mixture treatments were sowed on early March with different sowing rate(7:3=Italian:crimson, 6:4=oat:pea). $(^{15}NH_4)_2SO_4$ solution at. $99.8\;atom%^{15}N$ was applied to the each pot at the rate of $2kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$. Application was done on 6 April at rye+vetch pots and remainder were applied on April 16. Forage were harvested from each pot at ground level in heading stage and separated into legume and grass. Total N content and $^{15}N$ value were determined using a continuous flow stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry. DM yield of rye+vetch, Italian+crimson and oat+pea were 6,607, 3,213 and 4,312 kg/ha, respectively. Proportion of N from fixation was 0.73(rye+vetch), 0.42(Italian+crimson) and 0.93(oat+pea). The percentages of N transfer from legume to grass were from 61% to 24% in different method by treatment and -35% to 21% in isotope dilution method.

Purpose: To evaluate the outcomes of three different surgical approaches in treating a distal radius fracture with dorsal communition. Materials and Methods: From April, 2006 to May, 2009, 49 patients over age of 60years old with unstable dorsal communition distal radius fracture were analyzed. We compared maintainability of reduction by radiological follow-up observations and clinical outcomes using Mayo wrist scores. One-Way ANOVA test was performed to examine the statistical correlation between the methods. Results: All three approaches provided satisfactory post-op reduction results. However, follow-up observations showed significant loss of reduction in the external fixation only group compared to the added bone graft group and the volar anatomical locking plate group (P<0.05). Mayo wrist score was indifferent between the three groups. Conclusion: Treatment of a distal radius fracture with severe dorsal communition using an external fixation only appears to be insufficient in maintaining reduction of a cancellous bone defect.
