Development Approach of Fault Detection Algorithm for RNSS Monitoring Station (차세대 RNSS 감시국을 위한 고장 검출 알고리즘 개발 방안)

  • Global navigation satellite system (GNSS) providing position, navigation and timing (PNT) services consist of satellite, ground, and user systems. Monitoring stations, a key element of the ground segment, play a crucial role in continuously collecting satellite navigation signals for service provision and fault detection. These stations detect anomalies such as threats to the signal-in-space (SIS) of satellites, receiver issues, and local threats. They deliver received data and detection results to the master station. This paper introduces the main monitoring algorithms and measurement pre-processing processes for quality assessment and fault detection of received satellite signals in current satellite navigation system monitoring stations. Furthermore, it proposes a strategy for the development of components, architecture, and algorithms for the new regional navigation satellite system (RNSS) monitoring stations.

A Study on SCOTT Transformer Protection Relay Malfunction Case and Improvement Methodology (스코트 변압기 보호계전기 오동작 사례분석 및 개선방안 고찰)

  • In Korean AC power railway substations, SCOTT winding transformers are under operation to have a single phase power supply together with a phase angle of $90^{\circ}$ on the secondary side of the main transformer. In the case of an internal fault of the transformer, the transformer protection relay should be cut off on the primary side, the transformer should be inoperative to the external fault of the transformer or to the normal train operation. Reducing the malfunction of the relay through an exact fault determination is very important for securing a stable power system and improving its reliability. The main transformers are protected using Buchholtz's relay and a differential relay as the internal fault detection devices, but there are some cases of the main transformer operation under the deactivation of this protection function due to a malfunction of the differential relay. In this paper, the characteristics of the SCOTT transformer and differential relay as well as the malfunctioning of the protection relays are presented. The modeling of the SCOTT transformer protection relay was accomplished by the power system analysis program and the Comtrade file from 'A substation', which was used as the input data for the fault wave, and the harmonics were analyzed to determine if the relay operates or not. In addition, an improvement plan for malfunctioning cases through wave form analysis is suggested.

Characteristics of loci on Line-to-Earth Voltage according to Earth Fault in Earthing System for Ships (선박의 접지 시스템에서 지락 고장에 따른 대지 전압 변동 특성)

  • The voltages mainly used in ships are 450 [V], 6.6 [kV], and 11 [kV], and an earthed system is applied to ensure the stability of the power distribution system. In general, low-voltage ships using 450 [V] apply an unearthed system, while high-voltage ships using 6.6 [kV] or 11 [kV] use a high-resistance earthed system. When an earth fault occurs in a ship's power distribution system, the voltage of the healthy phase increases to the line-to-line voltage or higher, which causes an excessive impact on the insulation of the cable. Thus, analyzing this behavior is very important. In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of the line-to-earth voltage variation according to earth faults and a recognition procedure of a faulty phase using the symmetrical coordinate method for a high-resistance earthed system and unearthed system. A mathematical model of the line-to-earth voltage was derived through the symmetric coordinate method, and the ship voltage for simulations was selected as 6.6 [kV] and 450 [V]. A MATLAB simulation proved that this method can determine the highest increase of the line-to-earth voltage, which leads by 120° on the faulty phase, and it accurately judges the faulty phase in both earthed systems.

  • Software failure time presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing. For data analysis of software reliability model, data scale tools of trend analysis are developed. The methods of trend analysis are arithmetic mean test and Laplace trend test. Trend analysis only offer information of outline content. In this paper, we discuss exponentially weighted moving average chart, in measuring failure time. In control, exponentially weighted moving average chart's uses are efficiency case of analysis with knowing information, Using real software failure time, we are proposed to use exponentially weighted moving average chart and comparative analysis of software failure time.

In this paper, Goel-Okumoto and Yamada-Ohba-Osaki model was reviewed, proposes the hyper-exponential distribution reliability model, which maked out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method. For model determination and selection, explored goodness of fit (the error sum of squares). The methodology developed in this paper is exemplified with a software reliability random data set introduced by of Weibull distribution (shape 0.1 & scale 1) of Minitab (version 14) statistical package.

  • 피뢰기에 뇌 또는 이상전압과 같은 정격이상의 고장전류가 유입되어 발생하게 되는 순간적인 열 충격과 내부압력 상승은 폭탄이 내부에서 터지는 것과 같은 엄청난 양의 충격에너지이다. 본 연구에 있어서 폴리머 피뢰기의 제조에 사용된 모듈용 브레이드 복합재료는 압력해소 및 폭발 비산하지 않도록 하는 기능을 수행하도록 설계되어있다. 기존의 폴리머 피뢰기에 적용된 복합재료보다 충격에너지를 흡수하는 구조물에 유리한 브레이드 복합재료를 피뢰기 모듈의 제조에 도입한 것은 매우 의미 있는 일이라 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 열경화성 브레이드 복합재료를 제조하기 위하여 프리폼을 먼저 제작한 다음 금형에 삽입한 후 진공상태에서 수지를 주입하여 경화시키는 RTM공법을 이용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 브레이드 패턴 및 방압개소 설계 등의 기초적인 자료조사 및 실험을 통하여 폴리머 피뢰기의 폭발 비산을 방지할 수 있는 압력해소 성능을 위한 기초 자료를 확보하고자 하는 것이다. 브레이드 복합재료의 기본적인 경화거동을 등온 및 동적 DSC를 이용하여 고찰하였고, 기본적인 전기적 특성을 평가하였으며, 방압개소를 가진 폴리머 피뢰기 모듈의 고장전류시험시 예상되는 열 충격에 대한 성능을 검증하기 위하여 열팽창계수를 측정하였다.

A Study on the Slip Behavior of Coated High Tension Bolted Joints (도장처리한 고장력볼트 연결부의 미끄러짐 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Coating the high tension bolted frictional joint has been generally allowed for anti-corrosion purpose. However in case of painting on paying surface of the high tension bolt, the influence on a slip strength of the joint depending on precision of painting has remained controversial. The study thus was intended to identify the slip behavior on high tension bolted frictional joint when applying ceramic painting, which has been currently developed. A slip test was conducted on a high tension bolted frictional joint specimen on which ceramic painting has been applied and a slip load and slip coefficient were measured. Based on result, the safety and usability of ceramic painting-applied high tension bolted frictional joint was evaluated. As a result, a difference to some extent by specimen in terms of load-displacement when a slip occurred was observed but an average slip coefficient appeared to have exceeded 0.4, which is the design frictional coefficient set forth in the specification. To secure the safety and usability of ceramic painting-applied high tension bolted frictional joint, it's necessary to establish the standard for painting as well as to revise the relevant specification.

  • 현재까지의 연료전지 스택 고장 진단 방법은 스택의 전류와 각 셀 전압값을 측정하고 그 측정된 값을 계산함으로써 스택의 고장 여부를 판단하는 것이었다. 이러한 방법은 수백개 이상의 스택의 셀 전압을 2~4개 단위로 측정하기 때문에 백개 이상의 측정 채널이 필요하다. 또한, 스택 진단 시스템을 복잡하게 하여 신뢰성을 저하시킬 뿐만 아니라 가격 상승을 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 THDA(전고조파왜율 분석) 방법을 제안하였다. THDA는 스택에 교류 전류를 주입하고 스택 양단의 전압을 측정하여 주입된 교류 전류의 THD를 구함으로써 연료전지 스택의 상태를 진단하는 방법이다.

  • 국내의 변전소에서 가장 많은 비중을 차지하는 변전소가 154kV변전소이다. 154kV변전소는 전체가 통일된 표준복구절차서를 가지고 고장이 발생하였을 경우 복구를 하게 된다. 현재 154kV 변전소에서는 Relay에서 고장을 감지하여 차단기가 전원을 차단한 후 운전원이 판단해 복구를 하여 정상 운전 상태나 부하 전환 등의 방법으로 전원을 공급도록 소개를 하고 있다. 현재 한국전력에서 만든 SOP(Standard Operation Procedure)는 15가지 기본적인 유형에 대해서 복구절차를 소개하고 있다. 하지만 현복구절차서에서는 유형의 부족이나 각 변전소의 상황 등을 모두 표현을 하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 중요하고 필요한 유형과 변전소의 운전상황에 대한 표현, 앞으로의 개선방안 등에 대해서 제시하고자 한다.
