양전원 송전선로의 고장점 표정 알고리즘 (Fault Location Algorithm in a Two-ended Sources Transmission Line)

  • In order to service restoration and enhance power system reliability, a number of impedance based fault location algorithms have been developed for fault locating in a transmission line. This paper presents an advanced impedance-based fault location algorithms in a two-ended sources transmission line to reduce the DC offset error effects. This fault location algorithm uses of the GPS time synchronized voltage and current signals from the local and remote terminal. The algorithm uses an advanced DC offset removal filter. A series of test results using ATPdraw simulation data show the performance effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The proposed algorithm is valid for a two-end sources transmission network.

  • In order to reduce error of the distance relay, we propose an improved fault locating scheme using DC offset removal filter. We were modeled 154 kV transmission system using ATP software in order to demonstrate the usefulness of proposed scheme, and applied to the proposed scheme using collected voltage signal and current signal by line-to-ground fault.

  • This paper presents a discrete wavelet analysis based algorithm to address the fault impedance calculation under transient state in radial power distribution networks. The fault impedances have been derived under different fault conditions. Furthermore, a recursive fault distance estimation method is proposed utilizing the measured fault impedance and power line parameters. The proposed scheme can resolve the errors caused by the non-homogeneous power lines, the presence of lateral loads since, the fault impedance will always be updated with the recursive form. For the verification of the proposed scheme, a filed test has been peformed with varying fault resistances in the 22.9(kV) radial system. Power meters and fault locators were installed at the substation. It was figured out that the performance of the discrete wavelet and the recursive scheme are very good even for high fault resistance condition.

  • This paper describes a new fault location algorithm based on the voltage equation at the relaying point using 6-phase current for untransposed 765㎸ parallel transmission lines. The proposed method uses the voltage and current collected at only the local end. By means of 3-phase circuit analysis theory to compensate the mutual coupling effects between parallel lines, the fault location is derived. The fault distance is determined by solving the 2nd distance equation based on KVL(Kirchhoff's Voltage Law). Extensive simulation results using EMTP(Electromagnatic Transients Program) have verified that the error of the fault location achieved is up to 4.56(%) in untransposed parallel transmission lines.

  • This paper describes how travelling waves measured at an end of a transmission line can be used for fault location. In this paper a FIR filter which makes' high frequency components much more prominent is proposed. Consequently. the algorithm can distinguishes correlation peaks. A series of simulation studies using EMTP verified that the proposed algorithm can calculate an accurate fault distance in spite of effects of various errors.

  • Fault location algorithms based on the current distribution factors under the one-phase to earth fault condition of a double-circuit line are presented. The derivation method for current distribution factors is showed, to calculate fault current, fault resistance and the zero sequence current of other parallel circuit which are unknown. As the proposed algorithms 1,2,3 embodies an accurate location by the voltage and the current of the relaying point.

  • This paper presents a fault location algorithm using current distribution factors for distribution feeder systems. When a fault occurs in distribution system, an accurate fault distance is important for fast fault restoration. The proposed algorithm achieves a high accuracy using negative sequence circuit with various fault conditions.

  • In this paper, an algorithm for fault location in Auto Transformer(AT) Feeding Railway system is presented. If a fault occurs at the AT feeding circuits of electrical railway system, it is very important to find fault location and to remove it immediately for the purpose of ensuring safety for transportation. Because the characteristics of reactance-distance are not linear, only using one terminal signals to give fault distance is difficult. In this paper, first, using the KVL, 4 voltage equation are obtained. Secondly, eliminating voltage a distance equation which consists of currents at rail and line parameters including mutual effects.

  • This paper presents a fault location algorithm using iterative method at unbalance condition for distribution feeder systems. Distribution feeders include single phase and three phase laterals. The proposed algorithm achieves a high accuracy by continuously updating voltage and current phasor using the phase components and admittance load model.

  • This paper proposes a line-to-ground fault location algorithm for underground cable system. A feature of the proposed method is a new algorithm based on the analytic research which has not been tried until now. The proposed method firstly makes voltage and current equations using analysis of distributed parameter circuit for each of cores and sheathes respectively, and then establishes an equation of the fault distance according to the analysis of the fault conditions. Finally the solution of this equation is calculated by Newton-Raphson iteration method. The effectiveness of this proposed algorithm has been proven through PSCAD/EMTDC(Ver. 4.1) simulations.
