The detectability of radar depends on RCS(radar cross section). The RCS for complex radar targets may be only approximately calculated by using low-frequency or high-frequency scattering methods, while the RCS for simple radar targets can be exactly obtained by applying on eigen-function method. However, the conventional methods for calculation of RCS are computationally complex. We propose an radar signal model for RCS calculation by MUSIC algorithm In this research, it is assumed that the radar target is considered as a ring of scatterers. The amplitudes of scatterers may be statistically distributed. As the result, the radar signal model is proposed to use MUSIC, and the RCS is calculated by a simple linear algebraic method.

A series of wholly aromatic Poly(ether-ether-ester)s with flexible side chain was synthesized by direct polycondensation from ether linkaged triad diol and 2,5-dialkoxyterephthalic acid. The chemical structures and physical properties of these polymers were investigated by using $^1H$-NMR, FT-IR, DSC and TGA. As results of investigations, the inherent viscosities($\eta$inh) measured at $40^{\circ}C$ in 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane(TCE) were 0.45~0.86 dl/g and initial decomposition(Td) in TGA occurred at 378~418 $^{\circ}C$ in N2 gas. The majority of these polymers were soluble in organic solvents used in this experiments at elevated temperatures. Melting temperatures(Tm) decreased with increasing the length of the side chain and showed odd-even effects.

he current VaR model based on the J.P. Morgan's RiskMetrics structurally can not reflect the future economic situation. In this study, we propose a One-factor model resulting from the Wiener stochastic process decomposed into a systematic risk factor and an idiosyncratic risk factor. Therefore, we are able to perform a preemptive risk management by means of reflecting the predicted common risk factors in the model. Stocks in the portfolio are satisfied with the independence to each other because the common factors are fixed by the predicted value. Therefore, we can easily determine the investment in each stock to minimize the variance of the portfolio. In addition, the portfolio VaR is decomposed into the sum of the individual VaR. So we can effectively implement the constitution of the portfolio to meet the target maximum losses.

Jacket matrices which are defined to be $m{\times}m$ matrices $J^{\dagger}=[J_{ik}^{-1}]^T$ over a Galois field F with the property $JJ^{\dagger}=mI_m$, $J^{\dagger}$ is the transpose matrix of element-wise inverse of J, i.e., $J^{\dagger}=[J_{ik}^{-1}]^T$, were introduced by Lee in 1984 and are used for Digital Signal Processing and Coding theory. This paper presents some square matrices $A_2$ which can be eigenvalue decomposed by Jacket matrices. Specially, $A_2$ and its extension $A_3$ can be used for modifying the properties of hyperbola and hyperboloid, respectively. Specially, when the hyperbola has n times transformation, the final matrices $A_2^n$ can be easily calculated by employing the EVD[7] of matrices $A_2$. The ideas that we will develop here have applications in computer graphics and used in many important numerical algorithms.
Measurement plays an important role in both school mathematics and real life. Among the measurement areas, length is the first to learn and is the basis for measurement. Time is measured in its own way and is characterized by being the most abstract. This study attempted to analyze elementary mathematics textbooks and representations in real life to examine how the length and time of learning in school mathematics differ from those represented in real life. Based on this, we tried to derive implications for the direction of measurement education and elementary math textbooks. As a result of the analysis, the concept of length was used the same in real life and school mathematics. However, terms such as distance, depth, and height were not defined, and the representation of the approximate value was presented in a fragmentary form. In addition, there were parts where students were likely to feel confused in school mathematics and real life, such as the same units such as 'minutes and seconds' were used in time. Therefore, considering these differences, it is necessary to consider the direction of composition of math textbooks and teaching and learning so that students can connect school mathematics and real life and understand widely about measurement concepts.

Long-span bridges are flexible structures with low natural frequencies and damping ratios, making them susceptible to vibrational serviceability problems. However, the current design guideline of South Korea assumes a uniform threshold of wind speed or vibrational amplitude to assess the occurrence of harmful vibrations, potentially overlooking the complex vibrational patterns observed in long-span bridges. In this study, we propose a pointwise vortex-induced vibration (VIV) detection method using a deep-learning-based signalsegmentation model. Departing from conventional supervised methods of data acquisition and manual labeling, we synthesize training data by generating sinusoidal waves with an envelope to accurately represent VIV. A Fourier synchrosqueezed transform is leveraged to extract time-frequency features, which serve as input data for training a bidirectional long short-term memory model. The effectiveness of the model trained on synthetic VIV data is demonstrated through a comparison with its counterpart trained on manually labeled real datasets from an actual cable-supported bridge.
In this paper, passport recognition and face verification methods which can automatically recognize passport codes and discriminate forgery passports to improve efficiency and systematic control of immigration management are proposed. Adjusting the slant is very important for recognition of characters and face verification since slanted passport images can bring various unwanted effects to the recognition of individual codes and faces. Therefore, after smearing the passport image, the longest extracted string of characters is selected. The angle adjustment can be conducted by using the slant of the straight and horizontal line that connects the center of thickness between left and right parts of the string. Extracting passport codes is done by Sobel operator, horizontal smearing, and 8-neighborhood contour tracking algorithm. The string of codes can be transformed into binary format by applying repeating binary method to the area of the extracted passport code strings. The string codes are restored by applying CDM mask to the binary string area and individual codes are extracted by 8-neighborhood contour tracking algerian. The proposed RBF network is applied to the middle layer of RBF network by using the fuzzy logic connection operator and proposing the enhanced fuzzy ART algorithm that dynamically controls the vigilance parameter. The face is authenticated by measuring the similarity between the feature vector of the facial image from the passport and feature vector of the facial image from the database that is constructed with PCA algorithm. After several tests using a forged passport and the passport with slanted images, the proposed method was proven to be effective in recognizing passport codes and verifying facial images.
In this study, greenhouse gas emission for small scale landfill (H and Y landfill) was investigated to deduce special the methane generation rate constant(k). To achieve the purpose, the data of physical composition was collected and amount of LFG emission was calculated by using FOD method suggested in 2006 IPCC GL. Also, amount of LFG emission was directly measured in the active landfill sites. By comparing the results, the methane generation rate constant(k), which was used as input variable in FOD method suggested in 2006 IPCC GL, was deduced. From the results on the physical composition, it was shown that the ranges of DOC per year in H (1997~2011) and Y (1994~2011) landfill sites were 13.16 %~23.79 % ($16.52{\pm}3.84%$) and 7.24 %~34.67 % ($14.56{\pm}7.30%$), respectively. The DOC results showed the differences with the suggested values (= 18 %) in 2006 IPCC GL. The average values of methane generation rate constant(k) from each landfill site were $0.0413yr^{-1}$ and $0.0117yr^{-1}$. The results of methane generation rate constant(k) was shown big difference with 2006 IPCC GL defualt value (k = 0.09). It was confirmed that calculation results of greenhouse gas emission using default value in 2006 IPCC GL show excessive output.

Because maglev trains have a propulsion and absorption force without contact with the rails, they can drive safely at high-speed with little oscillation. Recently, test model of a maglev propulsion train was produced and operated, and has since been chosen as a national growth industry in South Korea; there have been many studies and considerable investment in these fields. This study examined the dynamic responses due to bridge-maglev train interaction and basic material to design bridges for maglev trains travelling at high-speed. Depending on the major factors affecting the dynamic effects, the scope of this study was restricted to the relationship between dynamic responses. A concrete box girder was chosen as a bridge model and injured train and rail types in domestic production were selected as the moving train load and guideway analysis model, respectively. From the analysis results, the natural frequency of a bridge for a maglev train, which has a deflection limit L/2000, was higher than those of bridges for general trains. The dynamic responses of the girder of the bridge for a maglev train showed a substantial increase in proportion to the velocities of the moving train like other general bridge cases. Maximum dynamic response of the girder is shown at a moving velocity of 240km/h and increased with increasing moving velocity of train. These results can be used to design a bridge for maglev propulsion trains and provide the basic data to confirm the validity and verification of the design code.
This study aimed to investigate the drying characteristics of Caragana sinica Rehder flowers, which are basic data necessary for increasing utilization. The flowers were harvested in mid-April and dried at different hot-air temperatures (50-90℃), and the physicochemical properties of the dried flowers were analyzed. It was found that the drying rate was proportional to the air temperature. The visual color of dried flowers was relatively strong in green when dried at 50℃, while browning was relatively severe when dried at 90℃. The greenness (-a* value) of the mechanical color of the powder decreased with increasing temperature, and the yellowness (b* value) decreased with increasing temperature above 70℃. The soluble solids of the hot water extract were maintained at a certain level after increasing up to 70℃, and the pH decreased with increasing temperature. The total polyphenol contents tended to increase with increasing temperature, and DPPH radical scavenging activity did not show a significant change after increasing up to 70℃. These results suggest that the hot-air drying temperature had a significant effect on the physicochemical characteristics of the C. sinica flower. The appropriate hot-air drying temperature was judged to be less than 50℃ for maintaining the unique color, and approximately 70℃ considering the high hot-water extraction yield and antioxidant capacity.
