A Study Over the Relationship Between Apartment Prices and Distances from Expressway interchanges (In the case of the Seoul Beltway) (고속도로 인터체인지 이격거리와 주변 아파트 가격의 관계연구 (서울외곽순환고속도로 영향권을 중심으로))

  • The present study is performed to identify the relationship between apartment prices and distances from freeway interchanges. To collect consistent data and to simplify the sphere of the influence, the Seoul beltway was selected as the target road. Two sides of the Seoul beltway such as the inner side and the outer side are partitioned following the whole beltway line. The maximum distance to be taken care of in data collection was 6.0km from freeway interchanges. Results show that there exist consistent patterns between apartment prices and distances from freeway interchanges. In detail, if the apartment is located on the sphere of the influence, it is shown that a) the prices are increased overall b) the prices are low at very near of interchanges c) the prices are increasing up to the points of about 2.0~4.0km from interchanges d) the prices are decreasing after the points. Additionally, it is shown the pattern observed was following approximately a quadratic curve which is different from the liner curve obtained from the similar study over the sphere of the influence in railway(Subway).

  • 다이아몬드형 인터체인지는 고속도로와 노면가로가 교차할 경우 방향별 교통류를 처리하는데 보편적으로 사용하는 인터체인지이다. 인터체인지에 교통량의 부하가 과도해지 면 인터체인지내부의 교차로에서 발생한 대기차량이 종종 고속도로본선으로 역류하여 본선 의 교통소통에 문제를 야기하며 특히 고속도로의 안전에도 큰 위험요소가 된다. 본 논문은 과포화상태의 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 교통신호제어를 다루며, 신호시간계획을 산출하는 동적 최적화모형(dynamic optimization model)을 제시한다. 최적화 모형은 지체도최소화를 목적함수로 하며, 함수계측법의 형태가 된다. 본 모형의 핵심은 신호제어에 따라 발생하는 대기차량길이를 모형화하여 대기차량길이가 정해진 상한치를 초과하지 않도록 하는 신호시 간계획을 산출하는데 있다. 제시된 동적모형은 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 신호시간을 위하 여 널리 사용되는 PASSER III와 최적해를 상호 비교한다. TRAF-NETSIM을 통한 시뮬레이 션의 결과에 따르면 동적 모형이 우수한 결과를 보이며, 대기차량의 길이를 효과적으로 제 어하는 것으로 판명된다.

  • Although a good understanding of the relationship between highway traffic accidents and highway geometric features is fundamental in highway design and safety, the relationship is not well understood quantitatively. The overall goal of this paper is to formulate a reliable statistical model fitting to historical highway accident data. The model can be used to estimate the effect of road design elements on safety for the practical purposes of highway design applications. En route to achieving this goal, a number of specific research objectives were accomplished: investigate the major design elements affecting highway safety; review the existing modeling approaches in order to assess the relationship between safety and highway design features; and formulate a statistical model fitting to the accident data in order to estimate the interchange ramp junction accident frequency of rural highways.

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 발생 소음특성을 측정하여 방음벽 설계 인자를 도출하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 인터체인지 및 영업소 인접부를 포함한 총 20개소를 선정하여 소음측정을 수행하였으며, 소음원의 주파수특성 및 일일 변동특성, 노면 종류에 따른 소음발생특성, 영업소 및 인터체인지 부근에서의 소음특성을 분석하여 방음벽 설계 인자를 도출하였다.

Determination of Minimum Spacing between Off-ramp Terminus and Intersection Considering the Influence of Adjacent Signalized Intersections (신호교차로 영향에 따른 도시고속도로 유출연결로 최소이격거리에 관한 연구)

  • The interchanges of urban freeways have many problems with traffic operation due to high off-ramp flows and frequent congestion at adjacent intersections. The flow exiting from off-ramps is affected by the operational status and traffic volume conditions of the nearest signalized intersection. As a result, off-ramp flow cannot exit and the queue backs up the freeway mainline when queues from the signalized intersection form up to the junction of the off-ramp and street. The spacing between an off-ramp and an adjacent intersection is likely to determine the traffic conditions at the adjacent intersection. However, the current design guidelines do not consider such a factor. This study is to develop a model calculating the spacing between off-ramps and adjacent intersections considering the signal, traffic, and road conditions. The variables affecting the model in this study are effective green time (g/C), volume-capacity ratio (v/c), the number of lanes, and off-ramp volume. Various scenarios are designed to represent the effects of the variables and the road networks are constructed using VISSIM, which is a common traffic micro-simulation software package. The queue length is derived from VISSIM and this length is considered as the recommended spacing between the off-ramp and the adjacent intersection. Through the simulation analysis, regression models are developed to calculate the queue length reflecting the various conditions such as signals, traffic, and road configurations. The developed model can be used to create road design guidelines to determine the location of off-ramps in the planning stage.

Design Guideline for Spacing between Tunnel and Interchange (터널과 인터체인지 이격거리 설계기준에 관한 연구)

  • Where an interchange is located just after a tunnel not only it is impossible to install the traffic signs in tunnel sections but also sufficient sight distance to identify the interchange can't be provided. The objective of this study is to suggest the safety based spacing between tunnel and interchange. For this study accident rate was used as an index representing characteristics for vehicle operation to suggest the appropriate spacing. Traffic volume and the number of accidents on freeway from 1992 to 1997 were analyzed. The relationship between accident rate and spacing represents negative logarithm function such that shorter spacing increases accident rate. An appropriate safety based spacing between tunnel and interchange for four lane freeway with the design speed of 100kph was found as 2.6km.

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between traffic accidents occurring at trumpet interchange ramps according to accident type as well as the relevant factors that led to the traffic accidents, such as geometric design elements and traffic volumes. In the process of analysis of the distribution of traffic accidents, negative binomial distribution was selected as the most appropriate model. Negative binomial regression models were developed for total trumpet interchange ramps, direct ramps, loop ramps and semi-direct ramps based on the negative binomial distribution. Based upon several statistical diagnostics of the difference between observed accidents and predicted accidents with four previously developed models, the fit proved to be reasonable. Understanding of statistically significant variables in the developed model will enable designers to increase efficiency in terms of road operations and the development of traffic accident prevention policies in accordance with road design features.

  • 남해고속도로 진주 인터체인지 근처의 공사장에서 중생대 백악기 곤충화석을 발견해 이를 중심으로 연구한 두 고교선생님이 과학전람회에서 대통령상을 받았다. 곤충은 4억2천만년 전에 진화에 지금도 지구상에 1백20만종 이상이 살고있는데, 이번 발견한 화석은 아주 완벽한 것으로 날개의 가느다란 시맥이 그대로 보존돼 세계적으로 관심을 모으고 있다.
