Key Point Extraction from LiDAR Data for 3D Modeling (3차원 모델링을 위한 라이다 데이터로부터 특징점 추출 방법)

  • LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) data acquired from ALS(Airborne Laser Scanner) has been intensively utilized to reconstruct object models. Especially, researches for 3D modeling from LiDAR data have been performed to establish high quality spatial information such as precise 3D city models and true orthoimages efficiently. To reconstruct object models from irregularly distributed LiDAR point clouds, sensor calibration, noise removal, filtering to separate objects from ground surfaces are required as pre-processing. Classification and segmentation based on geometric homogeneity of the features, grouping and representation of the segmented surfaces, topological analysis of the surface patches for modeling, and accuracy assessment are accompanied by modeling procedure. While many modeling methods are based on the segmentation process, this paper proposed to extract key points directly for building modeling without segmentation. The method was applied to simulated and real data sets with various roof shapes. The results demonstrate feasibility of the proposed method through the accuracy analysis.

The Alternative Policies for the Sustainable Development of New Town in Metropolitan Area, Korea -The case of Jisan.Bummul, Taegu- (대도시 신시가지의 지속가능한 개발 대안 모색 -대구시 지산.범물지구를 사례로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the environmental sustainability of new town development in metropolitan area, Korea and derive some policy implications for sustainable urban development. The case study area selected for empirical research is Jisan Bummul new town in Taegu. In the part of theoretical review, it is considered that the urban form suitable to sustainable development of a metropolis is the type of decentralized concentration. For the decentralized concentration form, we suggest developing suburban centers with self-sufficiency within a metropolis. This strategy is to develop a few suburban centers on the outskirts of a metropolis to decentralize urban activities of the central city, and to conserve the remaining. The empirical study evaluating the environmental sustainability of new town development shows that Jisan Bummul new town generally have low environmental sustain ability, because of the policy of mass housing provisions without consideration on overall natural conditions and environmental capacity of the area. To develop a new town. we must first select the locational site with minimum possibility of the destruction of natural environment, and then it is necessary to develop new towns into compact form to minimize the destruction of the natural environment. Second, a new town should be developed into a large scale to obtain urban self-sufficiency. Third plans must be established for decentralising both industrial and residential functions of a metropolis simultaneously. As more detailed policy implications, it is suggested that the policies are needed to improve the quality of educational conditions and enhance the level of services of public transport facilities. It is also necessary to establish the comprehensive development plan that takes the adjacent developmental area into consideration, and to prepare various action plans to bring up the facilities of self-sufficiency. In the selection of the location of a new town, the adaptability of public transportation planning must be emphasized. But, to take a program for short-term mass housing provisions must be restricted.

Analysis on the Characteristics of Heat Wave Vulnerable Areas Using Landsat 8 Data and Vulnerability Assessment Analysis (Landsat 8 영상과 취약성 분석을 활용한 폭염재해 취약지역의 특성분석)

  • Cities are highly susceptible to disasters due to concentration of population and infrastructure and intensive land use, and there are various factors that affect vulnerability according to regional characteristics. This study analyzed the vulnerability of the heat wave and the surface temperature extracted from Landsat 8 satellite data. Areas with high surface temperature and with high vulnerability did not match. This study overlaid the results of vulnerability analysis and the land surface temperature(LST) in order to identify causes of vulnerability. The results showed that some areas within high-density commercial and semi-residential areas were the most vulnerable, with climate exposure factors, the ratio of the vulnerable populations and residential defective areas being the main causes. Accordingly, alternatives such as green space and residential environmental improvement could be suggested. Various policies for reducing and adapting to heat wave have been established and implemented. However, it is necessary to examine the regional and spatial characteristics of the city, to accurately diagnose the cause of the heat wave, and to prepare appropriate long-term alternatives accordingly.

  • This study examined the improvements of existing food waste statistics system using a sample survey, which estimated the total food waste generation in 4 areas(High, Middle, Middle and Low, and Low population density), and a survey, which was aimed at forming a basis for modeling 112 local governments, were conducted. Currently, the methods for collecting the statistical data are summarized as five types. In high population density areas, the type based on examining the recycling facilities was found to be a more general way of estimating population centers higher than low population density areas. It was found that numerous low population density areas estimated their food waste production according to its generation per capita. It was also found that the findings of sample survey were 10%~40% higher than the existing statistical data and Non-separated collected food waste appears to be the main factor.

  • The visual implementation of 3-dimensional national environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national development plan, telecommunication facility deployment plan, railway construction, construction engineering, spatial city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies national geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. There it is needed to apply laser measurement technique in the spatial target object to obtain accuracy. Currently, the LiDAR data which combines the laser measurement skill and GPS has been introduced to obtain high resolution accuracy in the altitude measurement. In this paper, we first investigate the LiDAR based researches in advanced foreign countries, then we propose data a generation scheme and an algorithm for the optimal manage and synthesis of railway facility system in our 3-D spatial terrain information. For this object, LiDAR based height data transformed to DEM, and the realtime unification of the vector via digital image mapping and raster via exactness evaluation is transformed to make it possible to trace the model of generated 3-dimensional railway model with long distance for 3D tract model generation.

Simulating the Availability of Integrated GNSS Positioning in Dense Urban Areas (통합 GNSS 환경에서 도시공간 위성측위의 가용성 평가 시뮬레이션)

  • This paper describes the availability of the forthcoming integrated GNSS(Global Navigation Positioning System) positioning that includes GPS(Global Positioning System), Galileo, and QZSS(Quasi-Zenith Satellites System). We built a signal propagation model that identifies direct, multipath, and diffraction signals, using the principles of specular reflection and ray tracing technique. The signal propagation model was combined with 3D GIS(three-dimensional geographic information system) in order to measure the satellite visibility and positioning error factors, such as the number of visible satellites, average elevation of visible satellites, optimized DOP(dilution of position) values, and the portion of multipath-producing satellites. Since Galileo and QZSS will not be fully operational until 2010, we used a simulation in comparing GPS and GNSS positioning for a $1km{\times}1km$ developed area in Shinjuku, Tokyo. To account for local terrain variation. we divided the target area into 40,000 $5m{\times}5m$ grid cells. The number of visible satellites and that of multipath-free satellites will be greatly increased in the integrated GNSS environment while the average elevation of visible satellites will be higher in the GPS positioning. Much decreased PDOP(position dilution of precision) values indicate the appropriate satellite/user geometry of the integrated GNSS; however, in dense urban areas, multipath mitigation will be more important than the satellite/user geometry. Thus, the efforts for applying current technologies of multipath mitigation to the future GNSS environment will be necessary.

As the results, We confirmed the solutions of varieties application for railway facilities management using 3-D spatial image contents.

Effect of Exercise Program of a Public Health Subcenter for Middle and Old Aged Women in an Urban Area (장.노년기 여성의 운동 프로그램 시행 전.후의 신체계측치와 혈액검사치의 변화 비교- 일개 도시 보건지소를 중심으로 -)

  • Objectives: This study was to identify the changes of body fat, blood pressure, blood glucose and serum lipid of middle and old aged women after participation in exercise program which includes aerobic(dance sports) and anaerobic(dumbbell gymnastics) exercises. Methods: One hundred women aged from 55 to 72 were surveyed before and after an exercise program. The exercise program was provided to the subjects performed during 6 months from July, 2007 to December, 2007 at a public health subcenter in Gumi City. Questionnaire survey for general characteristics, anthropometric measurement and blood test were taken before starting the program and anthropometric measurement and blood test after completing the program. Results: Body Weight, body fat and blood pressure showed significant change after the exercise program(p<0.05). Additionally in total glucose, total cholesterol and triglyceride significant change was observed(p>0.05). Waite circumference decreased, however did not show statistically significant difference. Conclusions: It was effective to participate in dance sports and dumbbell gymnastics exercise regularly. All of the positive changes through the study showed that there should be the program for middle and old aged women to exercise actively and also the middle and old aged women need have a active exercise habits as regular as possible. Additional studies confirming the results of this study are needed to compare the effects of the dance sports and dumbbell gymnastics exercise on the other age groups.

Comparison of Lidar data and NGIS digital topographic map data for an efficient flood configuration (효율적인 홍수범람모의용 지형자료구축을 위한 Lidar자료와 NGIS 수치지형도 자료의 비교)

  • 최근 들어 국내에서도 홍수에 의한 재산과 인명피해를 최소화하기 위해 지역특성에 알맞은 홍수지도를 제작 중에 있으며, 주로 LiDAR를 이용하여 홍수지도 지형자료를 구축하고 있다. 그러나 이에 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되기 때문에 이미 전국적으로 구축된 수치지형도를 이용한 홍수지도 지형자료 구축의 가능성과 타당성을 검증의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 수치지형도를 이용한 홍수지도제작시 가장 핵심이 되는 정확한 지형자료구축을 위해서 Breakline처리기법과 하천종횡단자료 연계방안을 중심으로 구리시 일부지역을 대상으로 DEM을 시범제작 하였다. 수치지형도와 LiDAR를 이용하여 구축한 DEM을 검수점을 통한 RMSE오차를 이용하여 수직위치정확도를 비교분석하였다. 분석을 위하여 선행연구(홍수지도제작, 2002)에서 검수점으로 사용한 9점과 제방부분의 실측한 9점을 본 연구의 검수점으로 사용하였다. 비교 결과 RMSE가 수치지형도 DEM의 경우 ${\pm}2.658m$이고, LiDAR DEM의 경우 ${\pm}3.430m$로 나타났다. 두 자료 모두 알려진 오차범위보다 훨씬 높은 오차가 발생함을 알 수 있었다. 향후 수치지형도를 이용한 효율적인 홍수지도 지형자료 구축을 위해서는 수치지형도의 신속하고 지속적인 갱신이 필요할 것이며, 현재 도시지역에만 구축되어 있는 1:1,000 수치지형도를 주변 하천지역까지 확대해서 구축해야 할 필요성이 있을 것으로 사료된다. 아울러 도입초기단계의 LiDAR 측량기술의 보급과 관련모델의 기술의 발달로 인하여 정확도 높은 DEM이 요구된다면 고밀도의 방대한 양의 LiDAR 자료로 DEM을 구축하는 것이 바람직하다고 사료된다.및 이용대책을 수립하는 데 활용될 수 있다., $1,000-2,000{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$), 나머지 177종 식물은 살초활성을 나타내지 않았다. 높은 살초활성을 나타낸 식물로부터 분리되는 천연활성물질들은 향후 새로운 제초제 개발을 위한 모화합물 제공, 상호대립억제 작용성을 갖는 작물 품종 개발 혹은 개량에의 활용, 그리고 친환경 유기농업용 잡초방제에의 활용이 기대된다.내(皮膚上皮組織內)의 Langerhans cell내(內)의 Birbeck granule에 비(比)해 수적(數的)으로 현저히 감소(減少)되어 있었다. 그러나 Thy-1 양성(陽性) dendritic cell에서 볼 수 있는 dense-core 과립(顆粒)은 별변화(別變化)없이 쉽게 관찰(觀察)될 수 있었다. 조직배양(組織培養)을 한 견(犬)의 keratinocyte에 대(對)해 사람 pemphigus vulgaris의 항체(抗體)로 반응(反應)시킨 후 protein-A gold(15 nm)로 표식(標識)시킨 바 제일 바깥 상층(上層)의 keratinocyte에 있어서 세포막표면(細胞膜表面)을 따라 표식(標識)되어 세포막항원(細胞膜抗元)을 나타내었으며, 이와 같은 소견(所見)으로 미루어 정상피부(正常皮膚) 중층편평상피세포(重層扁平上皮細胞)에서도 동일(同一)한 소견(所見)을 관찰(觀察)할 수 있다고 본다.al remnants, Resorption of fetus로 관찰된 것이다.   • It is important to empirically investigate the typological characteristics of subway station areas considering the comprehensive elements of transit-oriented development (TOD) planning so that its implementation can be effective in attaining both increase in transit ridership and decrease in inordinate automobile dependence. This article aims to identify diverse features of subway station areas in Seoul known for good public transit system. After collecting and manipulating the measures on planning elements such as density, diversity and accessibility for TOD planning by distance-based buffer from a subway station, the article tried to interpret analysis results on their typological characteristics. They can be summarized with two conclusions. First, characteristics of landuse and public transit system can be distinctly differentiated in the Seoul subway station areas. It implies that both planning elements should have not been integrated for now. Second, the characteristics of public transit system can be divided by modes. They provide us that public transit system in Seoul needs to be more strongly integrated than current system.
