A Study on the Influence of Strut Insulator Aging on Vehicle Noise (스트러트 인슐레이터 열화가 차량 소음에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Strut insulator in a vehicle is an important part to prevent noise and vibration which is created for driving on the road. Most of the viscoelastic-mounts are made of rubber and natural rubber is the key ingredient. These rubber products show well performance for the initial time, but they will degrade after they are exposed to a high temperature circumstance and a cyclic load. NVH performance and comfort in a vehicle were decreased by these degradation of the rubber. In this study, spring displacement in a vehicle was measured to make a profile in the simulation test performed with an acceleration sensor. In addition, acceleration level, rubber permanent deformation and hardness of the rubber were measured according to drive distance and vehicle model.

  • 초고압 지중선로를 연결하는 접속함의 절연재료는 최근 에폭시에서 고무재질로 변화되고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 접속재용 고무절연재료를 선정하기 위한 전기적, 기계적인 방법을 소개하였고, 전기적 절연특성과 접착특성간에 상관관계가 있는지에 대하여 고찰하였다. 특히 실제 제품의 절연-반도전간 interface특성을 모의할 수 있는 특수형태의 매입형 전극을 설계, 제조 및 시험후 동일시료에서 접착특성 확인용 시편을 채취 및 실험함으로써 전기적특성과 기계적특성간의 직접적인 상관관계를 규명할 수 있었다. 또한 실험을 통해서 초고압 지중선로용 접속함을 위한 최적의 고무재질 선정이 가능하였다.

  • 우리는 기존의 현장몰드방식의 TMJ(Tape Molded Joint)와 부품조립방식 의 PJ(Prefabricated Joint) 보다 조립시간과 숙련도가 덜 필요한 고무몰드접속함을 탄성 및 우수한 절연특성을 가진 silicone 고무를 사용하여 조립공정과 절연특성, 탄성특성, 계면특성, 열적 특성 등을 연구하여 개발에 성공하였다. 고무 몰드 접속함은 실리콘 재료의 우수한 탄성에 의해 동일 케이블의 다양한 size에 적용이 가능하다.

  • Rubber components have been widely used in automotive industry as anti-vibration components for many years. These subjected to fluctuating loads, often fail due to the nucleation and growth of defects or cracks. To prevent such failures, it is necessary to understand the fatigue failure mechanism for rubber materials and to evaluate the fatigue life for rubber components. The objective of this study is to develop the durability analysis process for vulcanized rubber components, which is applicable to predict fatigue life at initial product design step. The determination method of nonlinear material constants for FE analysis was proposed. In order to investigate the applicability of the commonly used damage parameters, fatigue tests and corresponding finite element analyses were carried out and strain energy density was proposed as the fatigue damage parameter for rubber components. The fatigue analysis for automotive rubber components was performed and the durability analysis process was reviewed.

  • Grommet is one of the Automotive rubber components and is made from EPDM(Ethylene Propylene Diene monomer M-class) rubber and the nonlinear hyperelastic material properties of rubber are important to predict the behavior of rubber product. In this study, the stable stress-strain relations were obtained from the uni-axial tension test and the equi-biaxial tension test. Finite element analysis for grommet was carried out and heat aging test for the lifetime prediction of grommet was introduced.

  • The rubber pads era tank which undergo dynamic deformations with the sufficient amplitudes and frequencies lead to a considerable internal temperature rise due to the heat generation. The heat generation which is dependent on the viscoelastic characteristics or a rubber is due to the conversion of partial mechanical energy into thermal energy identical to the area oi hysteresis loop. Heat generation without adequate heat dissipation leads to heat build-up and the excessive temperature rite exerts a bad influence upon the performance and the life of rubber products. In this paper, temperature distributions of the rubber pads of a tank track subjected to dynamic loads are obtained under the assumption of the steady state. Heat generation rates used in this finite element analysis are acquired through experiments and the computed temperature fields are displayed in isothermal contour regions.

  • 현재 전세계적으로 170kV급 이하의 초고압 지중케이블 접속함으로 기존의 현장몰드방식의 TMJ(Tape Molded Joint)와 부품조립방식의 PJ(Prefabricated Joint)보다 조립시간이 짧고 작업자의 숙련도가 높지 않아 경제적이며, 유지보수에 장점을 가진 고무몰드 접속함(PMJ)이 채용되고 있으며, 이러한 추세는 적용 전압급이 점차 상승하면서 230kV급까지 그 비중이 늘어나고 있는 경향을 보이고 있다. 당사에서는 이러한 추세에 발맞추어 154kV급 고무몰드접속함의 개발 당시의 Silicone의 기초물성시험 DATA 획득, 고무몰드 UNIT 및 금형 설계 기술 확립과 접속 공법 개발의 경험을 바탕으로 230kV급 고무몰드접속함의 개발에 성공하였다.

  • We studied the material properties for reliability improvement in finite element analysis results for a nitrile butadiene rubber hub-bearing seal and for a carbon-filled rubber mount used in a vehicle. It was difficult to measure the material properties of hundreds of types of rubber for the mount design. Thus, we suggested that the engineering stressstrain relations from pure shear test data could be synthesized by using simple tension data and Poisson's ratio. We defined Poisson's ratio by using a function of principal stretches to synthesize the stress-strain relations for a pure shear test. A transformation of the pure shear data was applied to the experimental values to obtain the predicted results when the strain approaches 100%. In the finite element analysis for the contact force of a hub-bearing seal, the strain results that used the transformation of the pure shear data and simple tension data almost corresponded to the experimental values.
