Development on the Auto Showering system of Bed type for Elderly (고령자를 위한 와상형 자동 샤워링 시스템 개발)

  • 한국은 급격한 고령화가 진행 중에 있다. 세계적으로도 유례가 없는 급격한 고령화에 노인시설 및 병원에서 생활하는 고령자의 수 역시 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 시설이나 병원에서 고령자의 샤워수발은 수발자에게는 매우 힘든 노동이 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 샤워 수발자의 불편함을 해소할 수 있는 와상형 자동 샤워링 시스템을 개발하는 것을 연구목적으로 한다. 와상형 자동 샤워링 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 기존 국외제품의 노즐위치 문제점을 분석하고, 수발자의 수발행위가 최적화될 수 있는 최적노즐위치 구현을 위한 샤워링 테스트, 샤워링시뮬레이션 등을 사용하여 최적노즐위치를 구현하였다. 또한 적은 노즐 수로 넓은 범위를 효과적으로 세정할 수 있는 스윙노즐을 개발하여 시제품에 적용하였다. 샤워링 테스트의 노즐위치 최적화결과를 샤워링 시뮬레이션에 적용하여 노즐위치 및 분사각의 최적화를 수행하였고, 이를 실제 시제품 설계에 적용하였다. 본 연구에서는 와상형 샤워링 시스템의 개발에 있어 사용자의 수발부담을 경감할 수 있는 가장 중요한 설계요소를 노즐위치 및 분사각으로 정의하고, 노즐위치 및 분사각도의 최적화를 중심으로 와상형 자동샤워링 시스템 개발 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 사용자 중심 제품개발과정은 앞으로 다양한 고령친화제품을 개발하는데 있어 수발자의 부담을 감소시키고, 고령사용자의 자립생활을 지원하는데 있어 적용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Recently oriental medicine has become a new issue in the global medical field because of increasing demands for the treatment of old people. Western medical equipment is becoming popular with big companies related to IT, communication and medical treatment. But globalization of oriental medicine techniques is inadequate due to lack of knowledge about oriental medicine. The cupping equipment has great growth potential because it is easy for old people to use the equipment. The purpose of this paper is to promote the portable multi electrical cupping system. The system may be used by patients themselves without any help from others. By using many cupping cups at the same time and regulating the timer and vacuum pressure. The patient can decrease itching and relax the hardened muscles. The system is expected to grow in the future as oriental medicine will be in high demand in aging society with IT convergence industry.

The Characteristics of Elderly Consumer Behaviors in the Consumption of Aging friendly products (고령친화 용품의 소비와 관련된 노인 소비자 행태 특성 -대구시를 중심으로-)

  • The aim of this study is to make clear the characteristics of elderly comsumer behaviors and to provide information for the organ and company preparing aging friendly industry. This information is actual data which analyzed elderly consumer behaviors according to sociology of Population criterion. The first survey was conducted to 600 elderly about the degree of products preference, the criterion of products selection, actual purchaser, the preferring medium. To compare elderly consumer behaviors to young consumer behaviors, the second survey was conducted to 400 elderly and young persons. The results are in following. First, the crucial factors of elderly consumers making select products is the function of products. Second, when planning marketing for elderly consumers, company needs to investigate factors affecting elderly consumers behaviors, for instance the educational level, a monthly income level, age, sex, and so on. Third, elderly consumers were the most interested in health products. Specially, male elderly consumers in leisure sports and tour products. Fourth, elderly consumers is active for economic respect and independent for social respect.

Characteristics of Integrated Aging-friendly Technologies into Future Smart Housing (미래주택에 적용될 고령친화기술의 특성연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of aging-friendly technology that can be integrated into future smart homes in an aging society. The literature survey and content analysis method were used to collect and analyze data. Papers of the international journal ICOST (International Conference on Smart Homes and Health Telematics) that professionally deal with converged technologies were analysis units. Sixty-five papers among 215 papers published from 2007 through 2014 were selected on the basis of end-users orientation. Totally, out of 65 papers 76 technology items were extracted. Characteristics of those technologies were analyzed focusing on purpose and application methods. As results, in terms of purpose, the technologies were oriented to provide both of psychological and physiological support to the users, focusing on the safety, convenience, health and entertainment to extend independent life of the elderly. Among the application method such as building structure, furniture, product, wearable device and free movable robot, product were dominant. Through those results, the aging-friendly technology is expected to alleviate a wide range of issues in aging society.

  • This study examines the trends of the domestic age-friendly industry, examines the ingredients notified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of aging cosmetics, and analyzes the research trends of raw materials other than the notices, and prepares data for the aged-friendly industry to quickly cope with changes in the cosmetics industry environment and aging people. I wanted to. In addition to the ingredients notified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, research trends on the development of ingredients for anti-aging cosmetics are examined, and the anti-aging effects of each ingredient are examined. Through this, 'aging' and 'cosmetics', 'Anti-Aging', 'Anti-Aging', etc. In order to lead the development of anti-aging cosmetics related to the aging industry, research activities on products that are effective in preventing aging by strengthening the skin in addition to the four ingredients notified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety are constantly being conducted. In the functional cosmetics field notified by the Minister of Food and Drug Safety, it is believed that various basic research activities should be conducted so that research on anti-aging can be scientifically supported rather than a single research.

A Study on Priority Setting for Promising Technology in Division of Senior Friendly Product using the AHP (AHP를 이용한 고령친화제품 유망기술의 우선순위 설정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is an application of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) in the priority setting of promising technology in division of senior friendly product based on the previous studies. In this paper, the decision criteria for evaluating promising technologies in division of senior friendly product are identified and the hierarchical structure of decision making process is developed systematically. Subsequently the values of weights for relative importance among decision criteria are derived using AHP methodology, and the score of importance of promising technology in division of senior friendly product with respect to each criterion is evaluated. Finally the score of each promising technology in division of senior friendly product is quantified in order to prioritize them. We discuss implications of our results with a viewpoint of technology policy in division of senior friendly product.

The Strategic Direction for Product and Service Content Development according to Generation Cohorts and Consumption Values : A comparison of Korea and China (한중 50대와 20대의 소비가치 비교연구를 통한 제품 및 서비스 콘텐츠 개발 방향 탐색)

  • Senior business has been paid attention due to rapid global aging and baby boomers turning 60. However, senior business is not successful as expected because of a lack of understanding of consumers and small size of Korean domestic market. Understanding of senior consumers and overseas markets and providing attractive product and service contents needs to overcome the current challenges. Therefore, this study explores and compares consumers of different generation and different countries. We employ consumption value theory and analyze which consumption values are perceived strongly by each four group(Korean consumers in their 20s, Korean their consumers in 50s, Chinese consumers in their 20s, and Chinese consumers in their 50s). We conducted online survey to compare consumption values among samples of consumers in two countries: Korea and China. There are forty survey instruments in twelve consumption values. The results can be used to develop a strategy for planning, developing, distributing, and promoting product and service contents which consumers, in particular baby boomers, have a strong intention to purchase it.

Consumer Needs for HMR Product Development of Chinese Elderly Consumers (중국 고령친화형 HMR 제품 개발을 위한 소비자 요구도)

  • This study analyzed consumer needs for the development of elderly-friendly HMR products in China. In developing the products, items needed to be improved, types and packages of the necessary products, additional improvements and food preferences were investigated. According to the demographic characteristics of elderly Chinese consumers, these was analyzed as well. A survey was conducted on a total of 370 elderly people, and data analysis was performed using SPSS 18.0 program. Items related to product quality safety, such as "marks of origin by ingredient", "rich nutrients", "expansion of letter size of packaging", "rich nutrients" and "clear manufacturing date and expiration date", were required to develop HMR products. The types of products that should be developed were porridge and noodles, and the packaging types that should be developed were eco-friendly packaging and recycled packaging. In addition, "low-calorie HMR", "development of various seasonings", "use of eco-friendly food ingredients" and "HMR to digest easily" should be improved. The demand for product improvement and food preference showed significant differences according to the degree of education, monthly income and oral health. The results were intended to prepare basic data for setting the direction when developing elderly-friendly HMR.

Vitamin D analysis in the Korean total diet study and UV/sun light irradiated mushrooms (한국형 총식이조사 및 UV/태양광 조사 버섯에서의 비타민 D 분석)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate vitamin D intake of Koreans in a total diet study (TDS) and to determine the effect of irradiation on vitamin D synthesis in mushrooms. For analysis, sample were saponified and extracted with hexane, and vitamin D was quantified by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Based on the validation results, the recovery of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standard reference sample (SRM) 1849a was 96.7% and the z-score of -1.6 was obtained by the Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme (FAPAS) proficiency test (PT) 21115. Vitamin D2 was not detected in any samples, and the highest level of vitamin D3 was detected in mackerel and anchovies ranging from 24.2 to 120.2 ㎍/kg. The mean daily intake of vitamin D was 0.99 ㎍/day, as estimated from the vitamin D contents of the analyzed foods and their corresponding intake. The adequate intake (AI) of vitamin D based on the Dietary reference intakes for Koreans provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare is 5-15 ㎍/day for Koreans aged 6 to 75 years. Compared with this AI, vitamin D intake of Koreans estimated in this study was inadequate. For that, the increased vitamin D content in ultraviolet (UV)/sun light irradiated mushrooms warrants further research to increase vitamin D intake of Koreans through diet.
