  • This research describes quantitative effects of initial dispersion conditions upon the dispersion randomness of Magnus rotor bomblets. Ratios of the missile spin rate to the missile velocity, a, flight path angles, ${\gamma}$ and altitudes, h, were changed to investigate their effects on dispersion randomness. Dispersion was analyzed through calculation of 6 degree of freedom motion equation with aerodynamic coefficients from wind tunnel experiments. In order to analyze the randomness, regression analysis is adopted to calculate the coefficient of determination. The optimized ratio of the missile spin rate to the missile velocity and flight path angle were obtained and the dispersion altitudes had more effect on the dispersion diameter and had less effect on dispersion than other parameters.

  • In order to investigate distribution of vascular plants along elevational gradient in the Nodong valley of Gyebangsan, vascular plants of eight sections with 100-meter-high were surveyed from the Auto-camping site (800 m) to the top of a mountain (1,577 m). There were a total of 382 taxa: 89 families, 234 genera, 339 species, 7 subspecies, 34 varieties, and 2 forms. As a result of analyzing the pattern of species richness, it showed a reversed hump-shaped with minimum richness at mid-high elevation. As a result of analyzing habitat affinity types, the proportion of forest species increased with increasing elevation. But, the ruderal species decreased with increasing elevation, and then increased at the top of a mountain. As for the proportion of life forms, the annual herbs gradually decreased with increasing elevation, but it did not appear between 1,300 m and 1,500 m and then increased at the top of a mountain. The trees gradually increased with elevation and decreased from 1,300~1,400 m. The vascular plants divided into four groups by using DCA. The arrangement of each stands was arranged in order from right to left on the I axis according to the elevation. The distribution of vascular plants is determined by their own optimal ranges of vegetation. Also, rise in temperature due to climate change affects the distribution of vascular plants, composition, and diversity. Therefore, continuous monitoring is necessary to confirm ecological and environmental characteristics of vegetation, distribution ranges, changes of habitat. Furthermore, plans for conservation and management based on these data should be prepared according to climate change.

  • In this study, the performances of a medium grade IMU which is aimed for Mobile Mapping System and a low grade IMU for pedestrian navigation are analyzed through simulations under GPS signal blockage. In addition, an analysis on the accuracy improvement of barometer, electronic compass, or multi-sensor(combination of barometer and electronic compass) to correct medium grade or low grade IMU errors in the situation of GPS signal blockage is performed. With the medium grade IMU, the three dimensional positioning error from INS exceeds the demanded accuracy of 5m when the block time is over 30 seconds. When we correct IMU with barometer, compass, or multi-sensor, however, the demanded accuracy is maintained up to 60 seconds. In addition, barometer is more effective than the electronic compass when they are combined. In case of low grade IMU like MEMS IMU, the three dimensional positioning error from INS exceeds the demanded accuracy of 20m when the block time is over 15 seconds. When we correct INS with barometer, compass, or multi-sensor, however, the demanded accuracy is maintained up to 15 seconds in simulation results. On the contrary to medium grade IMU, electronic compass is more effective than the barometer in case of low velocity such as pedestrian navigation. It is expected that the analysis suggested a method to decrease position or attitude error using aided sensor integration when MMS or pedestrian navigation is operated under 1he environment of GPS signal blockage.

  • Altitude is a factor that plays an important role in the diversity, richness and composition of species. Recently, much attention has been paid to the distribution of butterflies and insects according to altitude. The purpose of this article is to propose a method to preserve and manage species efficiently by reviewing the distribution of butterflies according to different altitudes in Mt. Gyeryong National Park. This study found that the number of species and individuals decreased as the altitude increased, possibly due to the increased amount of shade caused by the crown density. When analyzing the factors influencing the distribution of species other than altitude, it was found that the slope, vegetative colonies and hydrosphere distance were correlated with the change in species distribution. As these species are closely related to food plants, it may save time and reduce the cost as well as allow an efficient evaluation of the bio-diversity if these species are selected as biological indicator species suitable for detecting the changes in the forest. It is judged to be a more efficient means of species preservation to accumulate and quantify the materials regarding environmental elements such as the climate, microclimate and food plants, as this would allow the butterfly distribution to be estimated.

  • The nose fairings of KSR-III are designed to be separated from the rocket by explosive force at the mission altitude to expose the payload. Adequate amount of separation force should be imposed to allow safe separation without collision between the fairings and the rocket, and the separation device was designed for the separation at very high altitude where almost no air load was expected. As the development of KSR-III goes on, several design changes have made and lower separation altitude of 45km is expected as a result. Under these circumstances, it is required to determine if the nose fairings can be separated without collision with much severer air load than for the design condition. In this study, the 6-DOF motion analysis program, PASEM, which was developed to predict the strap-on booster separation, is modified to simulate the pivotal motion of the fairings at early stages of separation. The accuracy of pivot motion simulation is validated by comparison with the results of ground test and the accurate separation conditions are deduced from it. Trajectory simulations are performed to see if separation without collision is possible with varying angle of attack, direction of gravity, and the effect of gust. It is also found that reducing the separation angle of the clamshell hinge from 60 degrees to 40 degrees can enhance separation safety and separation at lower altitude of 40km can be done without collision.

  • T-50 supersonic jet trainer aircraft using digital flight-by-wire flight control system receives aircraft flight conditions such as altitude, VCAS(Calibrated Airspeed) and Angle of Attack from IMFP(Integrated Multi-Function Probe). IMFP sensors information have triplex structure using three IMFP sensors. Air-data selection logic is mid-value selection in three information from three IMFP sensors in order to have more reliability. From supersonic flight test at high altitude, air-data information is dropped simultaneously because of supersonic shock wave effect. This error information may affect to aircraft stability and safety in supersonic area at low altitude. This paper propose that sensitivity analysis and HQS(Handling Quality Simulator) pilot simulation in order to analyze flight stability and controllability in supersonic area at low altitude when these information is applied to flight control law.

  • Sea level is upward trend since the end of 19th century, it is accelerating after 20th century. Because sea level height has regional differences, we concerned sea level change in Korean Peninsula. We used Topex/Poseidon, Jason-1 and Jason-2 satellite altimetry data which has $1/4^{\circ}$ resolution. From 1993 to 2013, for 21 years, monthly mean sea level anomaly was negative between January and April, positive between March and October. Bohai Bay in China, affected the continental climate, showed big sea level changes. Mean sea level data showed remarkably affecting the continental climate in Bohai Bay in China, the Kuroshio Current and eddy affects the sea level change.
