Sensitivity analysis of reginal drought resilience evaluation factors (가뭄재난 복원력 평가 인자의 지자체 별 민감도 분석)

  • 가뭄은 시간적 지속성이 타 재난에 비해 길고 공간적 피해의 범위와 편차가 크다는 점에서 지역적 특성과 가뭄대응역량에 맞는 적절한 대응과 대책 마련이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구에서 제시된 바 있는 지역적 가뭄복원력평가 방법론을 기준으로, 가뭄복원력 평가 인자의 민감도 분석을 실시하였다. 가뭄복원력평가 인자는 4Rs (Robustness, Redundancy, Resourcefulness, Rapidity)을 기준으로 총 18개의 지표로 구성되어 있으며, 18개 지표를 산출하는 과정에서 활용되는 세부자료는 정량자료 19개와 담당자 설문조사를 통해 산정되는 정성자료 8개를 포함하여 총 28개가 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 지자체의 복원력 평가 결과 기준, 등급별 1-2개 지자체를 민감도 분석의 대상으로 설정하고, 19개 정량자료 각각의 비율적 변화에 따른 복원력 결과의 변동성을 정량화하여 도출하였다. 또한 19개 정량자료 중, 연관성 및 계층적 관계성이 존재하는 주요 자료 그룹을 구분하고, 대상 자료의 동시적, 연쇄적 변화에 따른 복원력 평가 결과의 영향도를 정성, 정량적으로 평가하였다. 분석 결과 가뭄 복원력에 기여하는 인자의 변화에 따라 가뭄 복원력의 증감 정도가 지자체 별도 상이하게 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 도출된 민감도 분석 결과는 지자체의 현재 가뭄대응역량지표를 기준으로, 가뭄 복원력을 증가시키기 위한 효율적 대책 및 계획 수립을 위한 의사결정에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Treemapping Work-Sharing Relationships among Business Process Performers (트리맵을 이용한 비즈니스 프로세스 수행자간 업무공유 관계 시각화)

  • Recently, the importance of visual analytics has been recognized in the field of business intelligence. From the view of business intelligence, visual analytics aims for acquiring valuable insights for decision making by interactively visualizing a variety of business information. In this paper, we propose a treemap-based method for visualizing work-sharing relationships among business process performers. A work-sharing relationship is established between two performers who jointly participate in a specific activity of a business process and is an important factor for understanding organizational structures and behaviors in a process-centric organization. To this end, we design and implement a treemap-based visualization tool for representing work-sharing relationships as well as basic hierarchical information in business processes. Finally, we evaluate usefulness of the proposed visualization tool through an operational example using XPDL (XML Process Definition Language) process models.

Determining Relative Weights of Criteria for Evaluating National Quarantine Station by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP방법을 적용한 국립검역소 평가 준거의 가중치 결정)

  • In accordance with the increasing possibility that the new and reoccurring epidemics continuously appearing abroad flow into Korea, it is very important to evaluate the efficiency of quarantine management projects of National Quarantine Station. This study adopted the pairwise comparison approach using the analytical hierarchy process(AHP) that has been recognized with its scientific adequacy for allocating the weight, the relative importance of evaluation components. AHP technique is evaluated to be distinguished in measuring the impact by making hierarchy of, simplifying and systemizing the complicated multi-criteria decision making problems. The weights by evaluation indexes were 0.2 in the organization evaluation field and 0.8 in the service and program field. The quarantine business showed the highest value, 0.45, in the service and program field. The indexes were classified into the upper category (organization evaluation field, service and program evaluation field) and lower category (input/process/result/quarantine field, inspection field, hygiene management field, pathogenic organ investigation and monitoring field, epidemics prevention promotion/education field). The evaluation indexes that were finally selected were applied to the actual businesses in National Quarantine Station. Next, the minimum evaluation indexes were selected and so the evaluation system on the businesses in National Quarantine Station was more systemized.

On the Application of AHP to the evaluation criteria of business travellers for choosing airline (AHP기법을 이용한 상용여객의 항공사 선택의 평가기준에 관한 연구)

  • There has been a lot of researches on the major motivation of consumer's choice for airlines. Due to the competition in airline industries, most of airlines offer a various level of benefits to customers such as a frequent traveller bonus, a schedule, services in flight including a meal and an entertainment program, a discounted fare and an intangible part of personal service. However, it is very difficult to measure the performance of the customers' benefit and to identify the weight of each factor being considered on the airline choice. In this paper, we focus on the airline choice process for the business travellers. The AHP is applied to evaluate the factors reflecting the business travellers' choice for airlines. This study will be useful to build a marketing plan for the business traveller's market.

Location Suitability Assessment on Marine Afforestation Using Habitat Evaluation Procedure(HEP) and 3D kriging: A Case Study on Jeju, Korea (서식지 평가법(HEP)과 3D 공간보간법(Kriging)을 이용한 제주도 바다숲 입지적합성 평가)

  • As marine desertification and chlorosis in Korean coast have been intensified over time, Korean government is promoting marine afforestation projects. However, marine afforestation location is mainly decided by administrative convenience. Also, there is limited literature on location suitability about the marine afforestation. This study aims to assess location suitability of marine afforestation considering 3 significant criteria: ecological, submarine topographical, and human-social environment. Jeju, the study area of this study, first observed chlorosis in Korean coast at the small fishery town in Seogwipo. Jeju is currently suffering from chlorosis all around the island. Habitat Evaluation Procedure (HEP), 3D kriging, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied as analysis methods. Especially, 3D kriging is utilized for modeling 3D ocean space reflecting ocean environment appropriately. The result shows that Jocheon coast has better location suitability than Seogwipo Pyoseon coast. Jocheon coast has the maximum 61% suitability as the habitat of Ecklonia cava Kjellman, and is highly evaluated in other criteria. The results of this study are expected to find optimal marine afforestation location, and to contribute to the restoration of the Jeju coastal ecosystem and the revitalization of Jeju fishing village societies.

  • As part of recent sustainable transport, bike has come into the spotlight as a green transport at close range to link between walking and public transit and also alterative to solve problems of existing vehicle travel. Some arguments on promotion of using bicycles have already been made in Europe, the U.S and other developed countries. To be sure, much has been written extensively in description of utilization of bike oriented by supplier, for examples, Level of Service with bike path, infrastructure such as bicycle racks and lounge etc. Therefore, our study has been differentiated in development of new evaluation model focused on level of bike user's satisfaction, comprehensively considering suitability for bikeway installation, connectivity of the public transportation system and stability in Incheon City. ANP(Analytic Network Process) analysis which is able to allow consideration of the interdependence of criteria has been hired due to multi-collinearity instead of AHP used in multi-criteria decision analysis. Last but not least, we drew bike route on a case-by-case for maintenance and improvement of its facility in Namdong-gu and Bupyeong-gu. To conclude, suggested finding has dem onstrated the validity of evaluation scheme for bikeways which is appropriate for type and purpose and ultimately this can be used to establish policy decision making for improvement of bikeway.

Evaluation of AHP-Based Mobile MMORPG Game Interface Usability (AHP 기반 모바일 MMORPG 인터페이스 사용성 평가)

  • The use of games using smartphones have become universal, and the market share of MMORPG among various game genres shows an uptrend. However, MMORPG requires complex interface in view of the genre characteristics, and therefore, there are difficulties in building interface for efficient game play. This study analyzed game interface characteristics to suggest MMORPG game interface suitable for the mobile environment, and carried out a questionnaire survey evaluation on the usability of fight, exploration, character and transaction interfaces targeting 12 users. To quantitatively evaluate the subjective questionnaire survey results, this study analyzed a correlation between the characteristics of game interface and popularity using AHP. As a result, there was a close correlation between game selection & popularity and interface, and this study ascertained that interface development through game interface usability evaluation using AHP was possible.

  • Recently, by growing of Korean comics/animation markets and number of consumers, the more people have been reproducing culture contents into derived contents. However, user experience of active users who enjoy these cultures have not been accepted well like other local culture festivals in South Korea, though there are high potentials of vitalization comics/animation festivals using the active users. In this study, the experiences of participants of BICOF (Bucheon International Comics Festival) from 2013 to 2014 researched using the method of ethnography, especially using (group) interviews and participant observations. The result from the research indicates that cosplayers have limited range of participation inside of festival. And they have negative experiences during their participation into festivals. Therefore, this study suggests necessity of methodology of continuous reflecting of the user experiences of active users into festival, for the solution of the successful festival, who was objectified in the festival.

  • Datamining from the large data in the form of various techniques for obtaining information have been developed. In recent years one of the most sought areas of pattern recognition and machine learning method is created with most of existing learning algorithms based on categorical attributes to a rule or decision model. However, the real-world data, it may consist of numeric attributes in many cases. In addition it contains attributes with numerical values to the normal categorical attribute. In this case, therefore, it is required processes in order to use the data to learn an appropriate value for the type attribute. In this paper, the domain of the numeric attributes are divided into several segments using learning algorithm techniques of discritization. It is described Clustering with other data mining techniques. Large amount of first cluster with characteristics is similar records from the database into smaller groups that split multiple given finite patterns in the pattern space. It is close to each other of a set of patterns that together make up a bunch. Among the set without specifying a particular category in a given data by extracting a pattern. It will be described similar grouping of data clustering technique to classify the data.

Using AHP to Analyze the Evaluation Factors Related to Wildlife Passage Management (AHP기법을 활용한 야생동물이동통로의 기능개선을 위한 평가항목 분석)

  • The rapid increase of wildlife passage installation since the late 2000s was aimed to reduce roadkill caused by habitat fragmentation and losses related to road construction, but wildlife-vehicle collisions are now still occurred even near the wildlife passage area. This is the reason that the effectiveness of wildlife passage have not been evaluated in combination with absence of monitoring data and management strategy of the wildlife passage. The AHP method are used, in this study, to identify the evaluation factors affecting the effectiveness of the present 367 wildlife passages in a mitigation measures to reduce road effects on wildlife species. Ten evaluation factors are derived from third levels in the AHP analysis. Priority setting to identify appropriate management strategies in first level is selected among four second levels on facility, environment, wildlife species and management tool. The AHP analysis suggested that neighboring environments are the most important factor at the second level, and passage structure, harmony with natural surroundings, wildlife occurrence and monitoring of the passage are also important factors at the third levels. In summary, effective measurements of wildlife passage management is based on managing the passage with neighboring topography and natural surrounding. This is useful to establish wildlife passage management strategy in order to reduce the negative effects of roads on wildlife species.
